Check your order before you leave the store carefully. Was packed in the tide bag when I received it so I didn't check it. Ordered from their website a four piece dinner and a two piece dinner and a small coleslaw. Didn't get any biscuits with the four piece dinner and didn't get any extra coleslaw paid almost 4 dollars for the coleslaw. That's a rip off for sure. read more

Old dirty oily chicken from KFC in Winchester Chicken from KFC from Winchester VA. I've visited this store many times, but never had anything as bad as this today. I live too far away to return. This chicken is so old and oily. The oil is so bad that I had to use napkins to wipe the oil from under my tongue and the roof of my mouth. Before adding this review, I tried to contact the store to inform them of my experience but the number has been disconnected. I have some medical issues and cannot eat this chicken. I spent over $30 and cannot eat this food nor do I want to because I don't want to get sick. I will be contacting my financial institution to find out my options. The letters on the marquee board were missing as if the store was closed. The chicken definitely tasted and looked like it has been sitting in old dirty oil for a very long time. I have gone to this store in Winchester Virginia and almost every time the chicken is over cooked and the oil, which pools in the bottom of the bucket, is absolutely filthy. I went to another local KFC hoping to hopefully find "better" quality and it turned out to be just as lacking in quality controls. The chicken pieces are over cooked, unidentifiable and extremely small. I have called Corporate KFC a couple of time and their response is extremely tepid. Do better KFC.... My issue with this particular KFC is in reference to quality control and customer service. Today, I used their drive-thru and received by order in a timely fashion. On returning home - 15 miles away - I discovered that part of my order was missing. I called the manager to ask if I could get the cost of the missing item refunded to my credit card and she said I would have to return to the store. That would entail a 30-mile r/t drive. First, they should double check to-go orders because customers often don't discover issues until they arrive home. WORST customer service EVER. man with dreads in drive thru window was so rude when I asked if i could simply add drinks to my order. after he made the biggest deal about me simply asking. I told him never mind and he still proceeded to give attitude. Then made a big deal about the sauces i asked for. absolutely the WORST costumer service i've experienced in my life UPDATE: came back a year later and service is still HORRENDOUS. Stopped in to eat and place was dirty. Smells bad. No chicken tenders available for 15 min. Ordered my food and it took almost 10 minutes to receive. Forgot my fries. Forgot my flatware as well. Fantastic service at the drive-thru - this helpful and courteous young man made my day by complimenting my hair... made me blush! But, when I got home 10 minutes later, the chicken was rubbery and flavorless. It tasted like they didn't add salt. The KFC flavor was there, but not much else. The biscuits were dry and shrunken. They were so dry that even the honey provided by the handsome young man didn't make a difference. I won't be back again except to get the chicken pot pie and maybe look my best so I can get more compliments from that sweet guy. lol read more

I gave KFC on Berryville Avenue 1 star because of the way I was treated. They advertise All you can eat any flavor chicken on the bone. Got there, Paid and then was told the hot chicken was excluded. They didn't care about the ad in the newspaper. Would not honor it. Called the Restaurant the next day and talked to a representative. She said she would have the regional manager call me. I have never had a good experience at this KFC. The first time I went, they were out of mashed potatoes. The second time, the drive thru was broken and the food was not up to standard. Very poor customer service. The staff and manager are very inconsiderate. They try to cheat you out with their servings when cutting something out. And they rush you when there is a line. I ordered mash potatoes without gravy. They informed me that container didn't seem full because there was no gravy. And that they couldn't top it off with more mash potatoes. People can say what they want, But this is and has always been the best KFC in Winchester and surrounding areas. I have seen the black dude with the long braids cooking chicken there for at least 10 yrs. That is what makes restaurants like these the way they are. There are a few people there that have worked at that KFC for years. The place is always nice and clean, The staff has always been friendly. I will say I have had times when the cashier was new and it took an extra minute or two. But they have always been nice. The food is always hot and fresh and cooked like it is supposed to be. You know what I am talking about. Nothing like getting a piece of chicken that is slimy inside. This KFC knows their stuff. Somebody is a good trainer there because it has always been the best in Winchester. I have lived here for 40 yrs. and know a little something something about some fried chicken. I've been there twice recently. The food was good - the same you'd expect from any KFC - and the employees are attentive. The first time I went there I was greeted by a nice young lady who gave me an extra biscuit. The second time I went there, it took the employees a couple minutes to notice I was at the counter, but when they did the service was fine and the food was good. Hate to be a downer but this location is not currently up to par. The dining room, counters & service areas appear to be clean from a visual sense at least but there is grease slime like coating on nearly everything. The dine in tray was absolutely gross! I carried using napkins like mittens & had to place napkins on the table where my arms needed to rest as I ate. Of course I could have used the drive though & not even had to deal with the filth & slime coating on everything but then again had I done that I might not have a chief suspect in mind as to why all 3 of us have the runs & upset stomachs since eating there. 3 or 4 Employees were just kind of hanging out off the clock or something in the dining area, I thought most business like this frown on groups of employees hanging out in the areas intended for the "customer experience"? Anyway that's not what really destroyed my experience but given the fact that so many employees just hang out in the dining room I really can't see that they should get any excuse at all other than sheer laziness for everything being so coated with grease & grime. I'm sure they all think like "what we wiped everything down" but once you let things get really greasy it's going to take more than 1 wipe down to cut & lift the grease & grime off all of the surfaces. Honestly I've been in cleaner Boston Markets & still felt grossed out. I purchased an 8 piece meal and drove home not even 5 minutes. The cole slaw and mashed potatoes were acceptable. The chicken was all origional crispy and all the coating was falling off. The chicken tasted reasonably warm but so soggy. I bit into one piece and it tasted so bad i threw away everything except the potatoes. Gravy and 6 extra biscuits i bought.
