I'm still trying to take in the experience. I've never seen coworkers visibly unable to stand each other so much. I mean you could just feel the tension falling off of them. How difficult is it to stay organized and cook basic breakfast food? A woman was standing by the waffle timer and another woman passed by and said "can you please turn off the waffle timer" so she did, and then stood there. Another woman came by shortly after and said "are these waffles done" and the other woman said "I don't know she just asked me to turn off the timer" Common sense would dictate the waffles are done. But they're so irritated from being rude and disrespectful to one another that they are going to literally do nothing less than exactly what someone asks them in order to be pissy with each other and make a point. Get a good dynamic with good management in there. It's sad. It's Waffle House, not the Ritz. This restaurant just need a reorganization and some management /team working training. read more

It's a Waffle House. Keep your expectations in line. This place exceeded mine. Generally a quick-service chain is limited to 3 stars for me and due to cleanliness, service, and properly cooked eggs I'm giving them the full 3. Scrambled eggs were nice and fluffy. Perfectly cooked. Toast was fine. Ham was nicely grilled. The waffle could have used a little more time to crisp up. It was fluffy and soft - more pancake texture than waffle. It was served with fake butter (I'm not sure if real butter is available as I didn't ask). The hash browns were very oily. I couldn't eat but a few bites. Service was fast and friendly. Everything was clean. A lot of times in these places things get sticky from all the syrup. Not here. Had the waffle been crisp, real butter served, and the hash browns not so oily I may have broken my 3 star rule and given them 4. If I had to chose between this Waffle House and the nearby dinner it would be a tough call. read more

To go only? Watched the employees look at us, talk to themselves then unlock the door and tell us it's to-go only. No signage , all lights on like they look fully open. But the irritation came from after asking us if we wanted to-go we declined.....but as we were about to leave you see them lock the door and laugh as one runs to the back seemly happy not to work at all. She implied a racial connotation about the color brown with other Caucasian customers beside us to include she lives in West Virginia so she understands how it is. Nice, clean restaurant. Today, I only counted two wait-staff and one cook, with a manager doing paperwork at one of the tables. I ordered the fiesta omelet, with egg whites (50-cent upcharge to delete the yokes!) and hold the cheese, with biscuit and grits...coffee of course. I was a bit surprised when the bill came to $9.41 (not including tip) but I didn't say anything because that's what I ordered and they prepared and presented it well. It also was tasty. I ordered cheesy eggs with ham, grits & raisin toast. * They didn't cut up the ham & cook with the scrambled eggs * The grits were stone cold * 1 pc of raisin bread was toasted perfectly, the 2nd piece was so burnt you couldn't tell what kind of toast it was. * The only really good item was the fountain coke. You have know what you are getting with Waffle House. It is a classic greasy spoon and usually services the same patrons every day. The waitresses will call you "darling" or "honey" whether you are male or female. They all have the same menu, the buildings are even shaped and laid out the same way. Their menu is pretty limited but what is on there is pure diner food and they excel at it. This location is one of the newer ones I have been in and it did not disappoint. The All-Star special is my go-to. Eggs, choice of breakfast meat, choice of grits or hash browns, toast, and waffle. I ask for the waffle well done to get it crispy but it is good even if I forget to ask for it well done. Service was friendly and fast. I would gladly visit this or any Waffle House location again. read more

Worst experience ever here. I've been so upset and tried to call them and no one answers. It's an automated machine and it hangs up on you. Monday my son decided to take me out to breakfast. We both ordered the all American breakfast. While eating l, a man brought over a bucket and I thought hmmm ok. Then he was filling it with water and little did I know he was about the scrub the floor in front of me. He then poured a liquid in the bucket and then I smelled it and was like whoa. So I tried to speed up my eating because I have asthma and the smell was also causing a headache. I tried to get the waitress's attention and was waving at her. He the. Poured bleach in the bucket and the smell and fumes hit me and I couldn't breathe. my Son said mom you ok and I said I can't breathe and that was it. My head started hurting and I began having an asthma attack. my waitress came over and I said I can't breathe And I signaled them mopping as the cause and all she said to me is " yeah it's pretty bad!" I had to leave my son in the restaurant to pack up the rest of my food and come out. I was trying to breathe, catch my breath and recover when my son came out stinking from the smell. He brought my food and because my throat had become inflamed from coughing and the asthma attack I couldn't eat my food. I waited almost two hours and had an appt I had to go to so I tried to eat it outside the building where the appt was and the first bite in I literally choked on it and couldn't get the Food out or in. I bent over and tried hitting my stomach and tried to reach in and make myself vomit. I was scared. it finally came out. i went into the building and they saw I was coughing And I told them what happen and they gave me water. I ended up with a migraine now for two days from this. I love Waffle House. It reminds me of when I was a kid in Baltimore. What happen this day was the worst experience there ever. For my birthday last year that is where I wanted to go and now to see how they did me when I couldn't breathe makes me mad. Everything was cooked exactly how I ordered. Which every fancy restaurant & diner always mess up. Satiated.

First off, Waffle House is the WORST place to work in the Frederick County area by far. Lisa Libre-Suburt, the Manager, is rude and disrespectful and she try's to guilt trip every one of her employees to work more hours than they bargained for. And she try's to make YOU feel bad for calling out on an important day. Waffle House management rips minors (16-17) off with their "paychecks" and will take $15 out of their paychecks for meal credit each week. They recently hired a new manager, Cody Jones, and he's a SAD excuse for a manager. He acts more like a child than a manager. The previous staff would throw tantrums in front of customers and tell off customer saying they need to F off so they can do their prep, which they have ample time to do. All in all, the pay sucks when you don't kiss Lisa's butt, the management is absolutely horrible, and the food is NOT worth stopping in for And if you want to work here, you have a high chance of being accused of stealing ANYTHING. read more

I've been to many Waffle House locations and would like to preface that this review has nothing to do with the quality of the food I got. All the food I got was on par with WH standards, and trust me I love Waffle House and if you don't believe me just know that I go there on my birthday every year. The reason for my 3 star review is the service. I had to call about 6 times in 15+ minutes to place a take out delivery. That was fine because at the time it was around 2:30 am Friday night/Saturday morning and I assumed they were busy with people coming in after the bar closed. However, when I arrived there were literally only 2 customers In the restaurant to make matters worse the dude seemed pretty sluggish on the phone and when I arrived my suspicions seemed to be true: dude man seemed like he was stoned or had indulged in a few Xanax. I can't confirm if this is true at all... but all I'm saying is that he certainly seemed like it and I seriously hope he was fucked up or at least tired if he let the phone ring 6 times over the course or 15+ minutes without answering when there were only two customers(who already had finished their meals) in the building. DO NOT EAT HERE! I've never had such horrible service. The waitress dropped our bacon on the floor, but promptly replaced it. But then she let the sausage patty slide off my plate, then grabbed my fork and proceeded to flip it around the table trying to get it back onto my plate.
