I gave them my name and they went inside to get the 5 pieces of chicken and large Mountain Dew I'd ordered. It was around $22 plus a tip which in this economy isn't half bad! The chicken is plenty moist and thick, the batter lends its own flavor and texture, and once you add a little salt to the chicken it's a wonderful case of beauty in simplicity! I also love how you can choose all white cutlets, all dark cutlets, or a mix of the two (I always pick this option.) Even though I love the thigh strips, I do feel the need to break them up with the breast meat, it would be too much otherwise. Their house made tartar is top of the line as well! This is a place that's seen a lot of ownership changes, so congratulations to the current family for making their own mark on this iconic place, while also respecting the legacy :). I will be back!
