It was slow when we wandered in and sat at the bar, but the bartender seemed bored and completely unenthused. She took our drink order and then disappeared for a while. A group of locals sitting nearby were singing loudly to the speaker music. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying--they might have been over-served. We actually had to ask someone else to order an appetizer: the Pimento dip. The dip itself was delicious, but the accompanying veggies were a little slimy. The dish looked beautiful initially, but we couldn't eat some of the vegetables because they weren't fresh. Anyway, it's a shame. Based on this experience, we probably won't be back.

The ribs were AMAZING- so freakin tender and meaty and the glaze on it a slightly sticky sweet. Yum. The potato salad was good, the Caesar perfect and the beans were excellent. Randy did not enjoy his chicken sandwich. The meat had different thicknesses so a lot of it was dry and more breading than chicken. We made sure to close our tab so that our tip will go to her before she left. She answered all our questions and if she wasn't sure, she made sure to get the answer elsewhere for us. There was a football game that didn't start for another hour so we asked if we could play pool. She let us know that the projector would need to be put up but said to play pool anyways and she'll see what night staff would do. So we did. We were finishing up our last game and went back to our seats. My bf asked the new servers if they could play the sound of the game and he just flat out said "no". I then asked a different server if we could pull down the projector like it was earlier with the sound, and he looked at me straight in the eye and said "no" and walked away. There was no conversation. I would have appreciated it if we were given a reason as why it wasn't possible when they were doing it the entire day. After our original server left, we were not checked on at least once. The only time we got their attention was when we had to waive them down and asked for a beer. When we finished that, we left it on the table to see if they would notice. I started a timer too. The bartender or server was playing poker too which I didn't understand considering it was pretty busy. My bf who plays poker noticed one of the dealers wasn't dealing top card during the game so be cautious playing the card game here.
