I had such a great experience with this KFC location in Alamo Ranch that I felt I had to share. I placed a large catering order early in the morning for a division potluck, and shortly after, the store manager, Felicia, personally called me to confirm all the details. She didn't just verify the order, she really took the time to make sure we had enough food for everyone and even suggested adjustments to avoid us running short. I wasn't able to go in or pay over the phone at that moment, but she worked with me to make sure everything still came together smoothly. When we picked up the order, everything was packaged carefully and ready on time. You could tell there was real attention to detail behind it. What stood out the most was how much she genuinely cared about making sure our event was successful. On top of that, she also shared helpful information about future catering options, which I really appreciated. It's rare to experience this level of customer service, especially in a fast food setting. Felicia went above and beyond, and it did not go unnoticed. Very happy. Will return. It's been years since I've had KFC and I'm reminded how good it is. My daughters never had it before so I got the family meal with sides. They were amazed at how fluffy the biscuits were, how good original KFC recipe is and how perfect the fries were; warm, golden crunchy outside and soft inside with a hint of salt. Taste and temperature were spot on. Juicy! Good Portions in their branded red-white striped bucket. It's greasy but what fried chicken isn't? Service: I ordered from a Self serve touchscreen menu without interaction with staff. There were 5 groups in there so we had to wait longer than usual but it was Freshly made and worth the wait. I was an "I hate KFC" person but with traffic being so bad on Alamo ranch pkwy and culebra mixed with me being hangry and no line at the drive thru, I caved and went. Y'all, I have been sleeping on KFC. The tenders were huge, juicy, and sooo good. The fries.. My favorite kind of fry. I don't know how they make it double battered/ extra crispy but so soft and fluffy on the inside but they do and do it well. I decided to try the KFC sauce for the first time and wow. It was like a honey mustard/ bbq/ ketchup Mayo infusion. I really don't know what they did but man I even really liked the sauce. My hubby got the fried chicken sandwich and though it's no Popeyes chicken he said it was really great as well. Huge piece of chicken which was mostly chicken and a nice glob of Mayo (we like that) The only thing we were kind of "meh" about was their Mac and cheese. Reminded me of Mac and cheese you can get from H‑E‑B and just microwave. Not bad and a step above boxed Mac and cheese. This experience was horrible. I didn't read the reviews beforehand because I honestly thought this was in a good area and would have no bad reviews but I was wrong! As soon as we walked in at 7:40pm they said they could not take our order because they were closing early . I asked why were they closing early and no one knew why. I asked if we could at the very least order our food inside since we had went right after a graduation and they said no. After speaking with the manager he agreed he would make the expectation to allowing us to order. He said that they had staffing issues but when I looked around there was about 7 workers inside. I didn't argue .. instead we just ordered our food and left. As soon as we walked outside the girl in the front locked the front doors. This was so odd to me. The food was okay but the popcorn chicken was extremely salty and they served me more batter than actual chicken. Went to pick up my online order. Ordered two 12 pc buckets Arrived a few minutes early. They bulked cooked and picked my order from the warming rack. Extra crispy wasn't and original was soggy. Hankering some Kentucky Fried Chicken so we decided to give the nearest KFC to the house a try. Situated at the corner of Alamo Ranch Parkway and Lone Star Parkway is the new KFC in Alamo Ranch. Upon entering there was no line and we promptly placed our order by the friendly cashier. Once our order was ready they brought us our meal to our table and asked if we needs anything else. That was a plus on service for any KFC I have ever been to were they ask if you need anything else such as napkins, hot sauce, honey or sporks way to go above and beyond! Now to rate the food, the chicken came out extra hot and crispy they were on point with the fried juicy chicken. The mashed potatoes and gravy were what you expect at KFC and Mac and cheese was moist and good. Overall the KFC was pretty impressive it was clean, modern, food was great and employees were very friendly great service I will be sure to return! read more

This location is hardly ever busy. I live nearby, and it's very convenient. It is a newer location, so the dining room is clean and pretty much spotless. The staff are good, and my order is usually ready in a few minutes. Great tasting food as well. I love their creamy cole slaw. read more

We bought 12 pc chicken just now using drive thru, paid $30.84, got home to hungry family and found only 9 Pc. of chicken. Tried to call to tell the store, just keeps ringing, No one answers the phone lines. This place is conveniently located at the corner of Alamo Ranch and Lone Star Parkway. Their dining room is still closed but their drive thru line moves pretty quickly. My sister had a great experience here and was also given military discount which is awesome. My experience was a bit different to say the least. When I got to the speaker, I asked if there were any specials and was told they have the 8pc fill up for $20.xx. I asked what the price difference was for the bucket versus the chicken only but it was small so I decided to go with the bucket. The guy mentioned that there was a wait for dark meat and only had wings and breast available for the original. I asked if the extra crispy was available and was told yes but for the same items. Then I asked if I could do half and half and the guy mentioned it was possible. He said to go to the window for my total. When I reached the window, I was told that my total was almost $25. It wasn't a big deal but I asked for the reason since I assumed it would be less with tax. The lady mentioned that because I did extra crispy it'll be an additional charge. I was surprised because the guy never mentioned of the extra charge when I asked earlier nor was it mentioned on the menu. I told the young lady it wasn't right that I wasn't aware of it prior and her response was very passive. I paid and went along my way. Decided to try this location yesterday since it's the closest KFC to me. The drive thru was empty and I was given my order very very quickly. I ordered a 4 piece all dark meat extra crispy with a side of Mac and cheese and a soda. Though the chicken was hot, the breading was extremely soggy and not extra crispy in the slightest. At all. I decided to try them again today after a late day of work and this time I opted for the Nashville Hot Tenders 5 piece with fries and a soda. I once again got this order extremely quickly and I was the only person in the drive thru. I get home and open the box to 5 naked tenders not even tossed in anything. The "sauce" they were supposed to be tossed in was in the corner of the box since my side of fries had pretty much saturated it all up. It seems as though they put the tenders in the box with my fries and just threw a ladle of sauce on the bottom. Extremely disappointing yet again. The tenders looked absolutely nothing like the photo and there was almost no breading. Unfortunately this will be my last time giving them a shot. Went through the drive up absolutely rude person said USE THE App. Only issue is that store does not appear in the KFC app. Went inside ... one customer was returning their entire order. We went in approximately 15 minutes before closing. Getting chicken for a quick meal. When I walked up to the counter the cashier MAYA said "to go right because we close in 15 minutes" I was going to get it to go but I was just appalled to be spoken to like that! She then proceeded to read me back my order wrong twice and I had to correct her. After waiting a few minutes I get my box with the two sides , 3 pieces of chicken and a biscuit. The biscuit was in crumbs and look like a bite had been taken out of it. All while MAYA and her other teenage friends were laughing and pointing at me. They continue to stare at me as I spoke with the manager. The whole store was in chaos by those working. After speaking to the manager we sat down to wait for my mothers order. We waited about 13 minutes and she went to go ask them how much longer. Turns out they forgot about her order so the manager had to make it fast because we've been waiting for so long. This was the worst experience ever at a kfc. All of the sodas tasted awful and the area by the sodas was sticky and filled with soda sludge. I'm sorry for the long post but it's kind of a lot to say. I ordered online and the time for it to be ready was about 5 minutes from when I placed the order. Cool, I drive over and it takes me about 10 minutes to get there. I go inside, because they don't bring your food out, I'm standing there for about 3 minutes and no one has said a thing to me. Finally, the girl from the drive thru window comes over and asks if I have been helped. I said no, I'm here to pick up my online order, she looks it up and tells me that they were waiting for chicken on that order. Fine, I wait another 10 minutes and they give me my food. I go home and the sides are completely wrong, so I drive back and go in. Once again no one acknowledges me, and i see across the way, right by the drive thru window, an employee in a manager uniform eating chicken, licking her fingers and making drinks for the drive thru. She is touching all the cups with her freshly licked fingers. The drive thru girl comes over and recognizes me and jokingly says, i hope you're not still waiting on your order. That's fine, she was actually nice. I tell her what's wrong and she talks to the girl that is eating, the "manager" is saying very loudly, there's a sign on the door why are they still walking in? The girl comes back and begins to deliver that message and I tell her I wouldn't be here if they didn't mess up my order. She realizes this is a job for the manager, she tells the hungry manager which then does a few things and takes her time to come talk to me. I'm annoyed, so when she comes up and asks how can she help me, i asked, "why is she eating, licking her fingers and serving drinks?" This was in plain sight of the window and front counter. She makes a really annoyed face and turns away like she wants to say something and then asks, "how can I help you?" You can imagine how polite her tone was. I'm fuming at this point, I tell her what sides I need she gets them together, I grab my bag and go. 2 stars because the food was still good. I'm never going back to this place, if that's what management does, then the crew is worse. If this is what qualifies to be a manager then what are the owner/operators like?
