I had a terrible experience with the KFC located at 641 Louis Henna Blvd, Round Rock. I placed an online order for two chicken meals: one 16-piece and one 8-piece. When my husband and I got home, we discovered we were missing the 8-piece meal and only received the 16-piece. I immediately called the store and spoke with the manager, who claimed she was also the General Manager. Instead of helping, she accused me of trying to get free chicken. She insisted they gave us three bags, when we only received two. She said she needed to check the cameras for proof, so I told her to go ahead and I would wait. She then refused to check the cameras at that time. When I told her that as a manager she should make it right for the customer, she claimed she was providing "perfect customer service" by offering to "replace the chicken for free." I explained that it wasn't free--I paid for food I never received--and simply asked for a credit. She said she was not authorized to issue a credit and gave me only three options: Drive back to pick up the missing chicken Be put on a list for "free chicken" on a future purchase Call customer service myself When I asked for the customer service phone number, she said, "I don't know, you'll have to look it up online yourself." That is unacceptable. I refused to return because my family was already at home waiting for dinner, and it would have meant another 30-minute drive. Eventually, one of her staff members called me back to apologize. After finally reviewing the camera footage, they confirmed that the store made the mistake and shorted my order. The inconvenience of sending my husband back out again, combined with being falsely accused of trying to get free food, was extremely frustrating and disrespectful. This is not the first time this location has messed up an order. This manager was incompetent, disrespectful, and completely lacking basic customer service skills. If this is how the General Manager treats paying customers, it's no surprise this location continues to have issues. We will never purchase KFC ever again, in any location. read more

This dining experience was a roller coaster. I ordered online and picked up at the restaurant. When I got there no one greeted me even after approaching the counter and standing there for about 5-7 minutes. Finally a girl came up and asked for the order and told me they were still working on it. Then a guy manager screamed at her in front of me even though she did nothing wrong and was just updating me on the order status. The food: I hadn't had kfc since I was a kid so I ordered the OG chicken mashed potatoes Mac and cheese and biscuits . Everything that kfc was known for just don't... the chicken was awful like actually disgusting . The potatoes and Mac and cheese were good but the sizes were significantly reduced. They didn't give us our biscuit or a whole sandwich (hot honey) so I can't comment on that. The chicken served had been under the hot lamps for a number of hours due to the lamp burns and the skin coming off like saltine crackers! Ordered 2 piece extra crispy meal with a side of mashed potatoes and corn. I was informed that I had to wait for the chicken. After watching 6-8 cars leave the drive thru I went back inside. They seemed to not know what I ordered . I opened the box and saw a chicken thigh. I don't like thighs, I ordered 2 chicken legs. I went home disappointed. I decided to go back and speak with a manager. What a mistake. It's apparent that Fast Food restaurants don't care who the put in managerial positions. Tha manager 1st defended the supposed 18 minute wait for crispy chicken to cook. We'll I had waited well over 18 minutes. Then she claimed to have heard me say yes to ordering a thigh and chicken leg. Let me be clear, I have never ever liked thighs. She argued me down while telling me that they didn't do anything wrong. As I pointed out to her that the goal is to have happy customers and if something has made a customer happy, you should do what you have to do to make it right. Finally she offered to make the order over but her attitude and vibes said that she really didn't want to. Caution when ordering via their app because there is no guarantee that they'll have the food items that you ordered. They attempted to substitute an extra crispy for an original recipe piece & then a wing for a breast piece. My suggestion that 3 wings in place of the breast piece was more equitable, they replied that they couldn't do that. Same when I suggested substituting 5 original recipe nuggets for that missing breast piece. Lastly, you're left waiting 25 minutes for them to cook a new batch because they are unable to cancel an app order. No bueno! read more

I came in around 1pm on a weekday and the drive thru was empty. Yes! I ordered the new Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders. The Tenders were ok. The seasoning was like a paste and appeared oily. After avoiding KFC for many years i decided to try the new Nashville Hot Chicken. Big mistake. It was terrible. I got two thighs, usually the juiciest piece of fried chicken. They were both dry as hell with a small amount of the Nashville hot sauce on top. Easily the worst fried chicken I've had in years. I can see how the Nashville Hot Chicken could be really good, if it was actually coated in the sauce as it should be and if the chicken was better. It would also be nice if they included the pickles as it is advertised, but sadly I got no pickles. The cole slaw was lacking its creamy dressing and the biscuit was crumbly, hard and dry. My friend got the Famous Bowl and even though I am not a fan it looked better than my chicken. They also forgot to give us silverware, straws and napkins. Now I remember why I don't go to KFC. This place is a hit or miss. Their original recipe could be as bland as cardboard or the actual original recipe. They're NOT very consistent with the spices that's supposed to be "original" flavor. I've thrown 2 buckets because they tasted nothing like the "original" at all. Well another Kentucky Fried Chicken place combined with the old A&W Burger place. I had not had any lunch and just got back from the Doctor I have a massive head cold I stopped to get some lunch then go home and sleep. I like the Kentucky fried chicken and got it several times to take home for dinner. So today I got a double A&W burger and fries with drink. Now I remember I had a burger here before as well. I did not like the fries and the meat was so well done it was like trying to eat a dried old piece of liver. Please remind me never to order a burger here again. The young lady who gave me my food was great and very pleasant, one star for staff. Normally I just use the drivethru but today it was just not moving so I patked and went inside. I was disgusted there was nobody at all dining in save for a couple in the corner and yet all of the tables were dirty the floor in front of the drink fountain was all black with shoe prints. Now to the food and service. Nobody in line at all for counter inside and yet I was greeted like 30 secs after i walked up to the counter and it took them 2+ min to come take my order. I have worked in service and when I did; this was unacceptable. So my order was taken and my food was prepared immediately(was surprised on this one seeing as the line didn't seem to be moving outside and how long it took them to come take my order) and again i sat down to the cleanest(use that term loosely) table i could find. My mashed potatoes were good I added pepper and a pinch of salt and was perfect. I ordered two drumsticks extra crispy, it was so dry like eating a breast. I like dark meat for the moist juiciness it usually comes with but this was not the case, I think i had chicken that had come out the fryer at like 11 or 12(this was about 1:30pm) didnt eat the cookie that came with the $5 fill up so that I can't comment on that. Biscuit was the usual I get from KFC bland and dry. All in all i left lamenting on what could have been of my drumsticks. Probably won't eat here again or if i do I will try exactly at 11 or so and see if i can get some fresh chicken. This KFC is the absolute worst. You pull up to get some chicken and order the $20 fillup. They have all the pieces except for breasts. You can wait 20 minutes or take something else. You know the old saying "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...", you get the idea. Well, shame on me. I had a similar experience to the one I'm referring to now previously, but I figured one bad experience isn't enough to condemn a place. But two!?! I ordered the 2 Chicken Little sandwiches, Fries and a drink meal around ten-to-2 on a Sunday afternoon. There were three people waiting to get their food ahead of me. We were all waiting a while, probably because of a number of drive thru orders (and fast food places typically give priority to the drive thru). So, finally, after waiting about 10 minutes the people ahead of me got their orders. Waited around some more (its now 10-after-2) when the two people who ordered AFTER me got their orders. Needless to say, I was pretty frustrated at this point and went up to the counter to find out if they had forgotten my order. They had because the manager had to ask for my receipt to see what I ordered. Now, I admit, when I basically tossed my receipt to him rather flippantly I was being rude and dealing with my frustration in a poor way. And of course the manager said to me "you don't have to be rude". I apologized. He made my order, but, SURPRISE! he made it wrong (I asked for it without pickles and when I got home it had pickles). Here's the thing though. While I totally admit that I didn't handle my frustrations well, if he and his team had put more effort into making the food quickly rather than chastising a rude customer, maybe they'd have less people waiting around getting frustrated. That's my opinion though an I'm rather biased. Like I said, I got my food after waiting for 20 minutes and it was still wrong. I actually met one of the people who got their order before me (having ordered after me) outside and she said that they didn't even give her everything she ordered but she didn't want to go back inside. Went to get some lunch through the drive thru. Ordered a chicken little meal with sprite and honey bbq sauce. Plus asked to pay for honey mustard extra on side since I wanted to try their sauce. Got to the second window after paying. They said they didn't have honey mustard portioned for sides. They also didn't have honey bbq they only had normal bbq. They ALSO didn't give me my drink and said I didn't pay for the drink. Showed them the receipt... the extra sauce and MEAL were the only things on there. They refused to give a drink. Eventually gave up and left. Get home to see they put some "summertime" regular bbq sauce and ketchup in my bag. I am drinkless and spent $12 on bad service and food I don't even want now. read more

So many things are wrong here. This place is badly managed. On the last three visits - there has been no one monitoring the walk up area! Kind of makes you wonder how they survive when you have to wait 5 minutes for someone to take your order (maybe you are supposed to use the "hit the bell if you got great service" to get any service, lol). The first time, we were going to eat in but then all the large tables were dirty, the floor was grimey, the two tables that had been cleared had disgusting wet towel residue wipe marks - yuk. On all three visits - they were out of at least one item that we wanted to order (green beans twice and cole slaw the other time). Double check your order before you leave! So if you have plenty of time to wait, don't mind a filthy dining area, want to guess which items on the menu they haven't run out of and aren't picky about getting what you ordered ... this is the place for you! I don't know how this place has such poor reviews?.. How do you get pissed off that you're getting hot, freshly grease fried chicken? I didn't have that problem tho. Drove through late last week on a school night- after not having had KFC in years. We really don't eat "that" kind of stuff anymore, but it was that or the read headed girl with braids, and I needed something a bit more comfort-food-ish. We ordered the 10 piece bucket and sides. Extra crispy! We added 2 extra large sides for $4. What I thought I was getting though was the picture of 2 pieces of additional chicken and 2 sides.. for $4, I thought "hell yeah".. so when I got home to 10 pieces of chicken vs 12, I called back & it was then explained to me its either OR. All was good after that. Chicken was delicious. Cole-slaw was traditional KFC yumminess. Mashed tates and gravy and biscuits hadn't changed. Satisfaction. Thank you for NOT changing your damn recipe! My almost 7 year old says as we pull into the drive through, "is this the place with the red and white bucket?".. I answer him with a yes, and he responds with "this is the best day of my life!!".... This review is based off of my experience at this location on 11/11/12 around 3pm While on a road trip I had a MASSIVE craving for some KFC so we drove 10 mins out of our way to come here... Dirty, dirty, dirty this place is a disgrace to the KFC name. I'm pretty sure the employees knew this place sucks because when I asked for a new cup (the tea was soooo bad) the girl at the counter was like...oh yea I know... 8-( So here's the Bad: 1. Soda machines leak and spray water on your hands when filling your cup (Which means that they are DIRTY) 2. Soda splattered all over the floors making a huge sticky mess 3. The trash cans had recently been emptied but the staff didn't bother to close the doors that cover the trash cans so they were wide open and stunk. Now if there is no trash but it SMELLS like trash I'm thinking that there is something hiding just out of sight. GROSS GET A MOP!! 4. The "fresh" brewed tea tasted disgusting. The best way to describe it is if you brewed tea, left it sitting room temp and let the used tea bags sit in the tea all day AND THEN take a drink....yea that's about right. 5. There were chicken bones on the floor in the walk ways. 6. Greasy finger prints on pretty much everything...tables, backs of chairs, windows, counters, table tops oh and you guessed it even on the main entrance door. (Think of that one as a little parting gift on your way out) 7. Food crumbs everywhere. 8. The manager on duty was yelling at the staff back in the kitchen.
