I stopped in at the KFC in Northampton to pick up a family meal to go. I was hoping to place an order on the KFC app to pick up but that location is not available on the app. There was a KFC deal, 25% off an 8 piece family meal. They didn't accept it, and did not have enough extra crispy chicken to complete an 8 piece bucket (but substituted original). I'll probably pass on this spot in the future. read more

We went here for lunch place was not very busy everything looked very clean and friendly counter people. They were out of many things on the menu that are kind of basic when you order at a KFC.... so that was disappointing for sure but what we did order the chicken was delicious and crispy, the small serving size of the mashed potatoes was ridiculously tiny they made the containers so small you barely get any (and the large container is the size the small should be not good,)but the food was overall good, the biscuits were and very good. The soda fountain station was very clean and new the fizz and taste of the fountain drinks was awesome (some places are flat not enough taste like drinking water....) it was a very clean place but the lack of items that they were out of was a bummer... but overall good lunch in a clean restaurant... read more

I ordered the 5 piece tender meal. Every other restaurant in the world has sweet and sour sauce. Why doesn't yours? You really need it because your "secret recipe" does not taste as good or very like the recipe from the past. Maybe you need to go back to cooking with unhealthy oils. The taste of your food is suffering immensely. I would characterize it no better than supermarket fried chicken. read more

I stopped in again tonight and I got tge Exta Crispy Chicken 3 piece box and it was so perfectly cooked, fresh, tasting delicious and I can't wait to go back. There are 3 kfc's closer to me but this location in northampton is worth the drive. Make sure you get tge Extra crispy because this the star version. Also the cole slaw is fresh, crunchy, and healthy, not too much mayo or whatever is used its very light. I can't wait to go back!! Well done!!!! read more

Service in drive up was extremely slow. After repeating my order numerous times,my order was incorrect. I specifically asked for a chicken breast. No chicken breast. Chicken was greasy and poorly prepared. Coleslaw,which I-always like ,was dry. I will never go back. Train your employees. It's the worst KFC ever. Original recipe never tastes like original recipe. Every time I order it's consistently poor. Sent three emails to corporate KFC. Just got the usual corporate response that they were sorry. There is a KFC in Holyoke. The chicken always tastes like the colonel intended. I think the problem is they sell tacos and chicken. It's seems its too difficult for them to do both good. Or not enough employees. Since it's really two businesses in one. Just went today. Big mistake. We went to KFC to get some chicken. It was busy. Drink machine was going out no regular tea ,but if you like they had mango tea. A question I would like answer why do they do not use the tongs to get your chicken ,yes they have gloves on but I wish they would use the tongs to get the chicken this was a deal breaker for me I checked my order before leaving I had order a breast received a thigh told the guy he took the thigh out of the box with his gloved hand and attempt to put a breast in my box .I asked could you at least put the breast in a different box without crossing the chicken over the counter he was like surprised when I made that statement where is the board of health when you need them. I went here at about 6:30 p.m. on a Sunday evening. Wanted to order a 3-piece "original" chicken dinner to go. Was told all they had were wings and thighs. I said okay, paid $8.55 and proceeded to wait ... and wait ... and wait even though the place was practically empty. There were at least four employees wearing soiled aprons milling around aimlessly behind the counter doing nothing productive that I could see. What I did see were overflowing trash bins; puddles of liquid, grease, and garbage littering the floor; and tables strewn with the detritus of previous customers' meals -- the place was filthy. I completely lost my appetite on the way home and ditched my order without taking a bite. This restaurant needs some serious attention from management. UPDATE: After posting the review above I was contacted by a representative of Cantina Hospitality LLC, which apparently owns the KFC franchise in Northampton. The representative apologized for my unpleasant experience, promised to address the problems at the restaurant, and refunded the cost of my meal, which I greatly appreciated. On the basis of this unusual level of customer support, I'm changing my rating from one star to three. read more

This location is unreliable and I have never had a good experience. The other day we placed an order through the drive through for a crispy 12 piece bucket with three sides of coleslaw. After we paid they told us they were out of crispy wings/ breasts and only had original which we said was fine. A minute later they said that the chicken was dry and they did not want to serve it to us and a new batch would be ready in 16 minutes. This poses two questions for me: 1. How does a chicken restaurant run out of so much chicken? 2. If the chicken was bad why wasn't it thrown away already? ...So we pulled over to wait and after 45 minutes our order way finally ready. So I have had horrible experiences here but I thought I would give it a shot....this was the last one. As usual there is always some drama here. They were out of chicken again..... again.... of course this wasn't told to us till after we waited 15 minutes in line and watched the manager give 3 refunds.... she also discovered she didn't have anymore ones left..... so you couldn't order properly and you didn't run to the bank at the start of your shift. So for the 4th time we left here again without any food. I have no idea why they even spent the money remodeling this place when it is a dumpster fire for service. Order two chicken tender combos that come with cole slaw, biscuit and a cookie. Order 2 sides of mash potatoes...told them not to give biscuits and no drink (comes w/combo). Got home and had no mash potato which I paid more for - had two biscuits instead which they were told not to give to me. Workers were more intent on fooling around and having a good time rather than waiting on customers...4:15p in the afternoon not busy so no reason for the screw up. Not the first time. Horrible service. Awful experience. If I could rate minus stars I would. Refused to serve chicken at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night despite two full racks of chicken sitting there in the warmer. Asked the cook when chicken would be available he replied angrily that he is not cooking anymore tonight. No management available? They should throw the old chicken out immediately instead of leaving it in the rack to anger customers that expect chicken during dinner time on a Saturday night. Not the first time this has happened. Next closest store is ten miles away.
