03/10/2026 This was a wonderful KFC unit until about 3 weeks ago. Something changed. Original fried chicken is not supposed to be crispy, but it is now. The cooks have changed or something. Almost 1 hour wait for food on a Sunday afternoon. Mobile order, we were going to pick up inside, but the Dining room was closed. Worst KFC ever! We ordered the two piece white meat combo with corn and the two piece dark meat combo with mashed potatoes. Both orders were greasy, soggy messes. When I carried it back up to the counter to complain, the manager told me that I had ordered "Original Recipe and 'That's how it comes'". None for me, thanks... I've been going to this place since I was a kid. This once great establishment used to be a staple for Sunday after church family gatherings. Sad to say this place has become an abysmal shit hole. The employees obviously don't want to be there. They don't want to work and it shows. The signs on the door and drive thru all say 10:30am open for the drinking and drive thru. It's never open and good luck finding the employees. When the place is open the employees are sour and bitching incessantly about having to be there. If you are thinking about opening a business that will be run like shit and poorly run on top of that stop by this place and you'll find the perfect model and employees. read more

If there was a way to give zero stars, I would. Having dealt with KFC here in town for a while, I figured I would give them a chance if they ever got my order wrong, or the service was less than expected. The last three times I ordered from KFC here in Marshall, has been a horrid experience! I ordered through Doordash but it was not their fault. The KFC in town, has become a yuck-fest. When you order Al La Cart, you get half of a wing, instead of a whole one (Which you are paying for...)Chicken so old, you can't even chew, biscuits so dry, they leave chalk marks Orders incomplete, or just plain wrong! I love this drive through- Every time I come here the workers are kind happy professional and most of all accurate with my order. They treat me like they really care that I leave there happy. It seams like a little thing but the checkout girl asked if I wanted 2 tens or a 20 as my change. They're just unbelievably nice kind and the chicken sandwiches are higher quality than any chick filet. In a time of dying businesses I'd like to support one that treats me like I matter. read more

Ok let me start with I don't usually eat at KFC we are in town for my fiancés work and I kept seeing the adds for the Mac and cheese bowls and decided why not try it out. Figured I would offset some of the grumpy yelpers with a positive comment. I walked in and was greeted by three people. Service was pleasant but not stellar. I am from Marshall originally and know that this restaurant was built decades ago. Though I wouldn't dare go in the restroom it looks pretty good for it's age. I am a little surprised it hasn't been renovated like the other fast food places though. For Marshall this was a pretty good experience. It would not cut it in a bigger city though. read more

Expecting a tasty fried chicken meal but was very disappointed! The chicken was inedible because it was overcooked and dried out. The fries were also overcooked and hard. The biscuit was not flaky but hard as a rock. This place has no business being open!!!! The Colonel would be sad to know it carried his name. We stopped at KFC in Marshall Texas on our journey back to Illinois. I give them a 5 star. The meal was excellent. The young man at the counter made a comment he would like to be a manager some day.. I have order food four times because my wife wanted KFC. This Marshall TX location is just pitiful for customers service. When you pay 35 to 40 dollars for food you expect to get what you pay for.I had to drive all the way back for two large coleslaws not in the bag.Other time two boxes of chicken nuggets were missing. The funny thing was they dumped plenty of dipping sauces in the bag. Other time I ordered boxes of chicken strips got home and found two chicken legs and a winging the box. All thing shit happened every time I went there. Once I went inside to order to watch two customer walk up to the counter to order to only be ignored by employees and walk out the door.I really don't want to even give to place one star. So do your self a favor and going down the street to Chicken Express or Golden Chick. I have been to this location many times over the years and was truly disappointed by all of those visits. They've had a recent remodel of the building, and I decided to give them another shot. This store has got to be THE WORST! I swear! If they don't feel like cooking it, your out of luck. It's what they are in the mood to do at this location and not what you order. JG score of 4.5/10 (+1.5 for some of the food, 0 for atmosphere, +1 for price, +1 for fountain Diet Dr Pepper, 0 for just average service and +1 for we return once a year) It was our yearly January visit for a Chicken Pot Pie. The best part of this one is its crust but that is probably the best part of any of them. Overall, it is quite tasty and we look forward to coming here. This time we also got the Nashville Hot Chicken Tenders and.............liked them as much as the pot pie! The sauce is spicy but not painful and very tasty= we were almost licking the sauce off the box bottom. The pot pie meal comes with Coke slaw and a chocolate chip cookie and the tenders with a biscuit. The atmosphere is bad. No heat on and it's January. Just seems unclean. Hard for us to say that considering we eat anywhere but not a good feel here.....well, this time anyway. The price is right here. I paid for a Chicken Pot Pie meal with a drink and a Nashville Hot chicken tender meal all under $15! They do have Diet Dr Pepper from a fountain but I almost took off here because it was all out the day we went. Service was okay, not friendly but not mean. We did get our food fast. We will be back. Stood in a line of 1 for almost 15 min. Seems as though at Least 3 employees did not want to help us but rather stand and socialize in the back. After seeing the one person in front of us get their order messed up and 0 acknowledgment of waiting we decided to leave. I am always greeted every time I enter the door, they are always quick and right, the night time cooks chicken is always the best and fresh I love the Nashville famous bowl it's great. The service is atrocious. By the time you get your food it's like chewing on rubber. The restaurant is quite disgusting as well. Plus if they don't want to make something, they tell you "oh we discontinued that". They've done it constantly but then I go to Tyler and oddly these discontinued items are oddly enough still being served.
