It needs to be noted in this review that our local KFC is also paired with an A&W Hamburger Restaurant. This review will cover both venues in the same building. KFC - I've eaten on the KFC side of this establishment many times. It's always pretty good, I've never had a single problem with anything that I've ordered. My order is always complete, the service is always prompt and friendly, the restaurant is always clean. I've had a variety of foods from the KFC menu from the Chicken Bowls to the Double Down, to the massive original recipe chicken dinner, everything IS how it should be when I go there and want to eat. The food is always fresh, it's hot, and it's mouthwatering and delicious. Which is why I've never previously eaten at on the A&W side. There are a ton of other burger places in Longview, but only ONE KFC. So a couple of weeks ago, I made mention that I'd never had an A&W burger, and was chastised by a friend and a fan of my burger review page for not having done so. A&W - Last week, I made a choice to indulge in the A&W side of the menu with the Bacon Double Cheeseburger, Large Fries and Large Pepsi. The service for the A&W end of the business isn't as fast as the KFC side of it is, it took a bit longer to get our order than it ever has to get a full 20 piece meal complete with biscuits and sides. But it was a pretty respectable burger and was worth the wait. I unwrapped the wrapping around the burger, and it was warm and steamy, as each burger there is cooked to order. I was kind of sad that it was on a plain bun, without sesame seeds, but it looked like it was put together well. My first bite revealed that there the two beef patties were inundated with a massive amount of salt which was cooked into it, so much so that I needed a drink to chase it with. The lettuce was crisp and cool, the tomato and onion were both very fresh, the bacon was cooked perfectly, not too crispy, but not too limp either. It was the next bite that revealed the surprise. I hit the special burger sauce that for some reason wasn't spread quite to the edges of the bun, therefore I missed it on the first bite. The burger sauce married perfectly to the salt that was on the burger creating a very balanced overall, juicy flavor that was very appealing to my palette. The burger sauce was the redeeming factor for this burger, and brought it from an almost torturous level to a very pleasant dining experience. The value meal was accompanied by a large shoestring french fry, which was wholly unspectacular, but filling. There was really nothing special about the fries that set them apart from fries sold by most of the other major burger chains. I know there is a concerted effort in this day and age by burger chains to individualize their french fries, and while Burger King and Five Guys are excelling in that department, A&W is marching forward with a french fry that could best be described as "middle of the road". I also thought that the mix on the Pepsi was a little weak, though admittedly I am a Coca-Cola person, and always feel as if Pepsi has a weaker taste. Would I go back and order another burger from the A&W side of the menu? Yes, absolutely I would. The experience of it was kind of a crazy pendulum, swinging back and forth between love and hate several times before eventually settling on what might not quite be love, but is definitely a smidgen past liking it. Been going to this KFC for over 10 years and I order the same thing every time. Every time they get someone new behind the counter, it seems that the price goes up by a dollar or more and then they want to argue with me. They try to tell me it's because the menu changed a few months ago yet, I ordered the same thing just last week. This isn't the first time I've complained about this issue but, it will be the last. I am DONE with Longview KFC. I'll get my chicken from the Chicken Mart from here on out... read more

The menu is confusing as all get up. They want $1.60 for one wing to be dipped in their sauce. That's pretty spendy! Ordered a breast and wing meal for a dollar extra and got home to a thigh and wing. The chicken is greasy and went way down hill. I think this will be my last visit to KFC read more

I ate at the A & W resteraunt fries were soggy. The fried cheese curds are really good But way too expensive. They want $7.50 for a large. They're robbing everyone. read more

I had gotten to where I hated KFC with the chicken always dry and side dishes bland, but we were surprised by the Longview KFC's chicken, which has been tasty and very moist four times in a row (so good we keep coming back!). The coated french fries are salty and delectable--almost addictive. The staff moves quickly but are patient and polite. The only downside is the long drive-thru line. If you haven't been to KFC in a while and don't mind the wait, give it a try! read more

Used to love KFC however, they have gotten so expensive, it's ridiculous! Now customer service is in the tank. Went thru the drive thru tonight and ordered 2 basic meals: Chicken strips with mashed/gravy and a large coleslaw that I was told I'd have to pay extra for. Told her it was no problem. Also ordered a 3 piece chicken meal with a drink. $23+!!! Paid and trusted that I got what I ordered. Got home (15 miles away) and discovered no coleslaw at all for either meal let alone a large. Checked receipt and was charged extra for the large coleslaw that I didn't get. Ridiculous! I can get a damn good meal at Red Lobster for $23!!! Won't be back to this KFC and unfortunately, it's the only one in our area. read more

Stopped in for lunch and got the $5 strip meal box. They were nice enough to let me sub out cole slaw for the fries and the strips were great. The lemonade was a bit weak out of the dispenser but the place was really clean inside. My first time back since they remodeled it and I really miss the jukebox they had before. I had been grocery shopping and decided since it was already close to my kids bedtime that I would pick up some KFC. I ordered a 12 piece meal with four breasts and 8 drumsticks, mash and gravy, potato wedges and slaw. The total was around $34 I got home and started dishing out the food, only to realize that I was missing two drumsticks. I was only given 10 pieces of chicken and then I noticed that the paper bag holding the mash and gravy had been placed inside the large plastic bag completely sideways which spilled 85% of the gravy out, soaking through the paper into everything else in the bag. I called right away and told the situation and was very pleased with the service over the phone. He said he would give the missing chicken, mash and gravy and refund the meal. He asked my name and number and asked when I would come in. I said I may be in that night but probably not because I had to get the kids to bed. I couldn't go that night or the next day as it was fathers day. I went two days later and they had no record of my call or issue. After quite a bit of protest and Showing on my phone the record of the call made, they gave me the two drumsticks and mash/gravy but refused to refund me. They said to call in until I can find out who the manager was that was working. I am super disappointed to say the least and that night I only got one drumstick so my kids would have enough. We travel quite a bit and have had experiences with KFC restaurants in several cities. This is by far one of the best. Some serve small chicken pieces, some serve old chicken. Most of the time this restaurant has done well. read more

We went to get dinner last night. It was 7:56 when we entered the drive thru. We pulled up to the drive thru speaker and a girl came on and said sorry were closed due to weather we closed at 8pm.. we said there is literally a car in front of us who just just ordered and was being handed a bag of food as we speak she said sorry due to weather were closing early at 8pm. My husband was so upset. It wasn't even 8pm and they turned us away!! It had snowed over 2 hours ago. The roads were completely clear and absolutely NO reason to close early nor turn us away. You can hear in her voice she was giggling or laughing at our responses. Could care less about customer service and just wanted to get off early. I tried to call to speak to a manager and the phones were turned off! This was my first time going to KFC in a while and it quickly reminded me why I do not eat here. All other fast food restaurants were open EXCEPT KFC.. completely unprofessional and needs to be addressed. read more

Thieves, tried to charge me 30% sales tax on my order, when I pointed it out the cashier Lauren told me to have a nice day. Contacted the manager and was basically told the same thing. Watch you Bill very closely if you chose to frequent this pit. I've reported it to their corporate offices and will be contacting the county. We went here to grab a quick dinner and got a kids meal for my daughter. She got the corn dog nuggets with white milk. We get home which is like a 10 minute drive and she eats her food and goes to drink her milk and instantly starts crying saying she doesn't like it. She LOVES milk so I knew something was off. We tasted it and it literally tasted like chemicals. You could smell the chemicals too but she's 3 and doesn't know this. So while the food itself was okay I guess, I'm not sure what's going on with their milk but they definitely shouldn't be selling it. read more
