Frankly, this location has deserved a 3/10 over the last few years. But, Yelp is out of five stars instead of ten, and I frequently come here...so I'm rounding up more generously than initially anticipated. (To 3 stars instead of 2.) To begin my review, I will state that at least half the problem is a lack of employees. Which I won't add into the problems with this location. But there is another half of problems, so here we go. Their service is mostly fine. You can definitely encounter some weirdness, but as long as they have enough employees it's fine. It can absolutely take forever, and it's not rare to be out of ingredients or whole items. But, overall the employees are generally nice no matter the circumstance. Of course there are times when they're not, but that's everywhere. I'm gonna go right into the food, because I don't wanna detail any of the extreme weirdness moments and depress anyone. The food is made well. It's the main thing that keeps me coming back, I generally don't feel the food I end up receiving sucks. As for the atmosphere, it's gone way downhill...and it was already not as good as Kelso. There are many times you'll see employees looking like degenerate teens...and I'll leave it at that. More kindly put, it's not exactly a positive environment to be waiting sometimes 30 minutes-an hour and a half. Let me think, anything else? I've really appreciated the 24-hour drive-thru four days a week. Wish it was back to seven. They seem to have finally re-opened the lobby, but with varying hours? I have yet to personally investigate this. Overall, this location never makes me want to stop coming here genuinely. I'll get mad in the moment and say it, but I have never had any actual plans to do so. I think they have good food, generally nice enough service, and I'm hoping they can get more employees soon. read more

I wish I could give this Jack less than 1 star. It's not even a fully functioning restaurant. They will literally have 1 or 2 things available from their entire menu ON A REGULAR BASIS. Their wait in the drive thru is RIDICULOUSLY long. I keep trying (out of pure naivety and hope) but it's always the same. Tonight I came for 6 egg rolls for about 11 dollars. They said they only have 2 egg rolls left. I came here to pick up some breakfast jacks and tacos. My usual haunt items for this business. The staff was very friendly and professional and wore masks and gloves. The breakfast jacks were good I got everything that I ordered and the tacos were definitely spicier than most Jack-in-the-Box restaurants I've been to. And considering my husband like spicy he thought they were fabulous. I thought they were a little too spicy for me but I'm not a big spicy fan. So if you like spicy this is definitely the taco for you., If you can really call it a taco, but the expectations of Jack-in-the-Box tacos it definitely tasted it flavorful. read more

This Jack in the Box is about like all others. The interior is not as new looking as some I have been to, but it serves the purpose. The Staff is nice and friendly. They pay attention to special orders and I watched them interact with many other customers since we were there on several occasions over the past week and they are nice to everyone in line no matter how busy it is. One small complaint would be... they ran out of secret sauce in 3 days time, in all fairness I am not sure how popular it is so I do not know if maybe they only keep a few packets and I cleaned them out in 3 visits? LOL I will have to ask them order more if we move back there. I am an OLD school Jack in the Box diner, I grew up eating it in California 1970's and 1980's. We live in NC now and we would have to drive 4 hrs in each direction to get to one near Charlotte, and back so I NEVER get it. Bet on it I ate there every day for the past 7 days. The menu has changed apparently since my days back in 1985...I have NEVER had a Jumbo Jack or egg rolls, and I stick with the "child size burgers" (which used to be normal burgers that adults ate... SIGH) I had plain cheeseburger with secret sauce, tacos, onion rings, I tried the fries (yuck) they have changed since 1985, I tried a sirloin burger (yuck), tried a sourdough jack (not a fan I do not like thick burgers), I never got around to trying the chicken sandwiches, steak sandwiches or any breakfast items... I basically stuck to my small burgers or tacos. the food was hot and fresh and I have no complaints. We did try the chili cheese potato wedges they were very good. Happy to see tacos are very inexpensive and still as greasy and delicious as ever. read more

I have a basic order every time: 2 tacos and a small fry. Not a complicated order. But even though the last time I specifically asked for FRESH fries, they were once again lukewarm and soggy, just as they were the previous two times. The tacos on all three visits were also lukewarm and not crisp at all. I've been a faithful customer of Jacks for twenty years and rarely have had bad food there. I was spoiled by JIB in California where they were practically on every corner and offered great deals. Breakfast 24 hrs a day, tacos that I love and can't really describe why, and the best clever marketing I have seen in ages. Moving to where the closest one is over an hour away was good for my waist line but sucks for my addiction to their tacos. We try to hit Longview once a month for shopping and dining out where one has actual variety and decent choices. The Northern Oregon Coast doesn't really. This JIB location is on the way into town and on the way out, so it is doubly awesome for me. The lass that was working the drive thru was perky as hell and was so manically happy, I wanted to drizzle her blood on my tacos just so I could feel so damn chipper. Alas, with all of the zombie stories being the rage on the news circuit, my tacos would grow cold as I was interviewed and detained of course. Needless to say, she was damn glad to be there. The other employee was very polite, chipper, and professional. They speak ENGLISH!!!!! Most JIB's in California or even in the Portland area can't offer me that anymore. My order was correct, fast, and enabled me to carry on with my life recharged by their incredible tacos!!!! So far, with two visits to this location under our belt, they have been spot on. It has never occurred to me, till now, that some places really do merit a ZERO star rating. This is a gaping omission in Yelp's current format, and one can but hope requests/complaints have reached the proper parties and that feature will be amended, PRONTO! I've often mentioned the virtues of some places that offer late night or even 24/7 service, if only in their drive-thru. This simply CANNOT be considered a virtue, in this case. Would you consider it a "good thing", for example, if loud obnoxious neighbors kept it rockin' 24/7, and somehow therefore worthy of redemption? If a known PIMP set up shop in your neighborhood, putting our sisters and (God forbid) our mothers "on the stroll", we'd be willing to forgive and forget b/c he moved his operation into non-stop, 24/7 mode?
