    Delicious chicken pot pie
    Bob S.

You got to try their chicken pot pie! It's like momma use to make except their crust is more flakey. The chunks of chicken were delicious along with the peas, carrots and potatoes. It's a great meal and really hits the spot. The service was drive through and quick. I ate a bit so you can peer inside and see all that goodness. It's the best value for the money.

Bugs around the edge of the lid.

Here visiting Lihue and we stopped at KFC for lunch. So gross!!!!!! I got Dr Pepper and drank a bit of it before my boyfriend pointed out a bug crawling under my lid. Looking closer the lid was FILLED with gross flys and ants. Immediately threw out our food and we were so disgusted.

    Crispy fried chicken

This place was ok for dinner. Their crispy chicken are always good don't get me wrong, but their chicken little's and wings are a little disappointment and also their mac and cheese as well. Chicken little's are a good snack size, but when when it comes to sauces, it's not what I expected. Honey BBQ Chicken Little - tasted good. The BBQ sauce on my sandwich was a little messy, but it kept my chicken a little moist. Nashville Hot Chicken Little - meat was dry, lots of mayo on the bottom and not enough sauce. Honey BBQ wings - their sauce wasn't even covering most of the chicken. It looked like they just poured the sauce on it. Disappointing. Nashville hot wings - it was good and crispy. Mac and Cheese - too much butter. It didn't taste like mac and cheese at all. So much butter flavor and the cheese sauce didn't taste anything like cheese, but even more butter. Disgusting! Cinnabon biscuits - love these! will definitely order again if they still have it on menu. Overall, bucket of crispy chicken was great, love their crispy chicken. Ask for more sauce on their Honey BBQ Wings and chicken littles and skip their mac and cheese! Staff is always nice and friendly.

They also had a live band playing, which created a fun atmosphere and it looked like a lot of people were really enjoying themselves. If you're just looking for a quiet place to sit and eat, though, it can get a bit loud, nothing against the live music, just something to keep in mind depending on what kind of dining experience you're looking for. The ahi nachos were a bit disappointing for us. The ahi itself was fresh and tasted great, but the "nachos" were actually more like fried wontons instead of traditional nacho chips, which felt a little odd and just wasn't really our thing. It would've helped if that was disclosed on the menu or if the server gave a quick heads up beforehand so expectations were clearer. On the positive side, the Tempura Ahi Bites were our favorite dish out of everything we ordered, definitely the standout item for us. The rib plate was also decent with satisfying portions overall.

We tried the following items: * Phở - Brisket & Beef Meatballs Vietnamese Noodle Soup * Shrimp Summer Roll w/ Peanut Sauce * Shrimp Tempura * Rice Plate - Grilled Pork Chop The phở was truly flavorful and comforting. The shrimp summer roll was tasty and paired well with the house-made peanut sauce and sriracha. The shrimp tempura was fried to perfection, with a coating that was absolutely dynamite in every bite. Lastly, the grilled pork chop was juicy and well-seasoned. The interior of the restaurant had plenty of tables and chairs available for customers. I also appreciated the white-and-gold plating used for the dishes, which added a beautifully nice touch. The customer service was wonderfully attentive, and the food was fairly priced. Maybe we caught them at a bad time, but the food and beer were mediocre at best. I enjoy trying local beers as close to the source as possible, so going to local brewpubs is something my wife and I try to do regularly. It was our third day in Kauai, so made this our lunch choice, and we were hungry after a long tour. There was plenty of parking in the dedicated lot, and it wasn't too busy when we stopped in after 1:30 on a Wednesday. We were greeted promptly and got to choose where we sat, in a picnic table with plenty of space. Chose two house draft beers: Honopu Hefeweizen ($9) which was not good...very weak and watery. But the Hanakoa Cream ale was worse ($9)...chose it because of a local cream ale from Wisconsin that I love. But it tasted more like a glass of lite pilsner, more like a Miller Lite than a cream ale. I had to finish both...should have just ordered one. The food came out a bit later. We wanted to share the local Style Smoke meat plate (sounded promising), which was a plate of pork shoulder ($16). Plenty of it, but it felt like leftover meat, reheated in a sugary sauce...looked and tasted like Tocino (which isn't my favorite), not like pulled pork/kalua pork. It came with a scoop of white rice. I got the spicy Poke ($19) which used good quality raw ahi tuna. It had lots of tasty, spicy mayo and was enjoyable. But the rice was not cooked well (it was mushy), and I had to ask myself: why has the rice been so mediocre for our first two days? (It got better as the trip went on). My wife got the Huli Huli Veg & Rice plate ($25)...not good. Just two pieces of chicken breast meat (coming from frozen) with a very light sauce (flavorless) and the carrots were big chunks, candied, which is not what we expected. Brought most of this back to our hotel (since we had a fridge), but neither one of us touched it for the rest of the trip. Pricing is inconsistent (the chicken plate should have been the cheapest item considering the ingredients and prep work). Payment was done through Toast, and there was a 3% service charge for using credit card.
