Maddi absolutely saved the day for me today. I had ordered original recipe chicken but accidentally received all crispy, which wouldn't work for my dad. When I came back in, the store was really busy, but Maddi noticed right away and made sure it got taken care of at the first opportunity. She handled it quickly and kindly while also helping a coworker who seemed stuck with another order. It's easy to complain when something goes wrong, but the way Maddi stepped up and fixed the situation was genuinely impressive. Came in today courtesy of Mobile. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly, but the food was inedible. I had a Chicken Sandwich and Fries. I assumed both would be made to order, but the food was made in seconds. Both items were room temp, neither was crisp and both appeared to have been cooked at least 30 minutes prior if not longer. I was quickly reminded of the History Channel episode of The Food That Built America. In the KFC episode, the Colonel had an absolute meltdown when he tasted his chicken after selling the business. He was distraught that they changed his recipe despite agreeing to keep all recipes original. I'll say this, hot, it might have been decent, but all KFC location have low reviews and the location that was actually closest to me closed about a year ago proving, no one wants to pay for this garbage. Once you pay they always send you to the front of the building to park for half an hour until they finally bring out your food. Awful business practice. Drive through was quick, which is more than I can say for the other fast food places in the direct vicinity. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and a famous bowl without gravy. The chicken and waffles is okay. Probably the last on my list of places to get it. The waffle tasted oldish, like the waffles the kids get at school. Each individually wrapped. The chicken strips were fine, tasted like chicken strips. The famous bowl they forgot to not put the gravy on it so my picky daughter was annoyed. Other than that, it was just a fine experience. Chicken has gotten ridiculously small (not a little, like half the size it used to be), prices are insane and two 'funny' things- the cake and sauce incident. Part of my order included a 6 piece strips. At the window I asked for two sauces, 1 of each. She said "ok they are $.29 each". I said "oh no those are for the chicken strips I got, the 6 piece...." She then proceeds to tell me yes none of the chicken comes with sauce so it's $.29 each". I get, and am ok with, paying for extra sauce in many restaurants but you don't get a couple included with your order (for like $15 no less)!!!! Then the cake lol!!!!! AUG 5TH 2023 I'M so up set with KFC 10414 SE 260th St kent, Wa 98030 253 852-3603 Ok, so I ordered four chicken legs, one small coldslaw, One small mac and cheese, 8 biscuits, 2 large mashed potatoes and gravy, 10 chicken nuggets with barbecue, mustard sauce, one potatoe bowl that comes with chicken, corn, gravy all in one container, 2 drinks tea , coke, plus honey and butter. Well when I got home and found out my order is wrong. Well I got only 2 chicken legs, 2 orders of French fries that I did not order, no sauce for my chicken nuggets zero not one, I called KFC I spoke to a man manger he said he would replace everything that was missing in my order. well I go back to KFC the lady at the window told me she gave me all 4 chicken legs she wanted to argue with me and that Pissed me off, I ask for the manger, she said she was a manger and I said oh he'll no, I wanted to talk to the man manger the person I spoke with about my order not being right he came. But believe me I was Furious with that lady manager. I spoke with the man manager I told him what I was missing and he replaced the items. I told me him that my food is at home sitting on the counter getting cold and he should replace my whole order because it's cold and ruined. The biscuits where cold the chicken nuggets were cold, the potato bowl was cold, the chicken nuggets where cold and soggy and greasy when I got home I was so upset with this place. He did replace my my potato bowl but he should of replaced the whole order! This is what makes me mad, I go and get food for my husband and my self were hungry, I order my the food take it home its not what ordered so have to call KFC and Complain about all of this. Then I have to go through crap to get my order fixed and the food I have at home from KFC is ruined cold greasy! Man, I'm just amazed that the staff at this location are rude, combative and make so many mistakes. My mother is elderly and wanted some food, she ordered 3pc and got 2. No napkins and no spoon. We looked in bag saw there was 2pc instead of 3. No apology for the mistake or anything. Well I eventually asked for a refund, and was told " you get what you got!!" Went to this KFC at 10414 SE 260th Street in Kent because my daughter was craving KFC. I DO NOT EAT KFC. She ordered the J Harlow meal. She asked the Drive Thru Assoc if she can up size the fries, he replied 'No, it's a promotion'. no courtesy in his voice. My daughter also asked if she could switch the drink to Pepsi and got the exactly same reply. When we received the meal at the window, she was checking her order to make sure she got everything. it was taking seconds but the guy tells me to leave because THERES OTHER PEOPLE BEHIND YOU. We use drive thrus all the time and check our orders all the time and never ever any of the associates ever told us to leave this rudely. After checking she found that her Fries was missing. I told him to give me the corporate number but he told me this is not a corporate store. I told him to give me the owners number or contact info and he says I AM THE OWNER. IF YOU DONT LEAVE I WILL CALL THE COPS. I would've stayed until I got the owners number but I didn't want to ruin my daughters day so after a few seconds I left. Driving back home I was thinking how poorly knowledgeable the owner is at running his business. I am sure I am not the only customer who came to spend money at this business but left insulted. On the receipt the cashiers name is CHRISTOPHERS. I want the hear from the owner, publicly, on this platform and let me know what he is going to do about it. First time ever at KFC/Long John Silvers today (06/28/2014). Hesitated for so long due to some of the negative reviews on Yelp. Decided to take advantage of the "FREE" fish & chips as advertised on TV. Got there at about 10:30 AM as the give-away was to start at 11:00 AM & I thought for certain there'd be a big crowd. Well, I was the first customer. Walked in and was greeted by a friendly staff, who were busy cleaning & prepping for the crowds. Appeared that an extra staff member or two were scheduled to work due to the give-away. Restaurant was nice and clean (floors, tables, counters, soda pop machine, etc.). Don't know why some reviewers made negative comments about cleanliness. (A lot cleaner than the other fish place down the road....Skippers). At about 5-minutes to 11:00 AM, the rush started. Thank goodness I already had my order in. Decided on trying the Platter (fish, chicken, shrimp, fries, coleslaw & Hush Puppies), in order to get a little sample of everything. Actually a pretty good deal, price-wise: $6.99. Overall, the food was pretty good. The fries were just a bit oily & not very hot (drove home with the food), and the fish was good too. The Coleslaw was great, as was the chicken strip & shrimp. I think the oil needs to be a tad hotter or the food needs to be drained or blotted better in order to take away any excess cooking oil. I've always liked LJS, but I haven't been to one for over a year. I was excited to see that they had green beans, since I love KFC green beans, and I thought the KFCs up here didn't have them. The fish was exactly like I remembered it. Good flavor and crunch. The green beans were also the same realiable KFC green beans; perfectly cooked, great taste. I tried the LJS chicken for the first time. The batter was a little overkill on chicken, but the chicken itself was the best I've ever had, moist and delicious. They've changed the fries since I was here last. Now they're like a cross between Arby's fries and the old LJS fries. The still have a little of the old LJS feel, but some of the fries I got were underdone, and some were dry. My only recommendation is to make sure you only order as much food as you want to eat. Everything tastes so good, you're going to wind up eating all of it whether you really want to or not! read more

I had a meal off the Long John Silver's menu, not the KFC. It was, to put it bluntly, absolutely deplorable. I ordered a meal that contained fries, hush puppies, fish (which I believe was cod), and chicken. The first thing I noticed when I began eating was that initially, I literally could not tell the difference between the chicken and the fish. I looked at it, tasted it, smelled it, but it took me at least a few minutes to be able to differentiate between the two. Alright, so that was gross. On to the hush puppies and fries. The hush puppies were just kind of mushy and tasted like fish, so I discarded them. Next came the fries. They were edible, but kind of plain and unsatisfying and, yes, they tasted like fish. Now this is the part that disappointed me the most. I understand if a kitchen full of tweakers can't make me a good plate of meat or hush puppies in a fryer for $6.50. I get it. But when you mess up the fries, that's serious business. Bad fries=inexcusable. don't go there!! read more

Not really sure what all the bad reviews are about. Sure, it is a fast food joint. But it is a pretty decent one if you ask me. My boyfriend and I went there last night to get some KFC and we had a good experience. We had a coupon for 7 pieces of dark meat, 1 large mashed potatoes, and 3 biscuits for $10 bucks. Pretty good deal if you ask me. We had to wait a few extra minutes for the thighs to be ready, but the staff was friendly and apologized for the wait. It wasn't a big deal since we weren't in any rush. The restaurant was extremely clean, unlike the comments from some other reviewers. Yes, KFC is greasy and oily, but mmm mmm, it is good! read more

I work in customer service myself and I have to say this kfc/ljs place is just not cutting the lowest of standards. It's absolutely awful and I try to be understanding because I know that it's just a bunch of young adults who work there that don't know any better, but they were absolutely rude. I place some of the blame on management because how on earth can you not teach your employees to say "have a nice day" instead of just handing you a bag and walking away? How are they not taught to smile, and make eye contact, and welcome someone when they come through the door instead of talking in a group of 3 among themselves right in front of the customer for a good two minutes? When I entered half the tables were filthy dirty and there were many employees not doing much- those 3 guys standing there talking to each other in front of the customer they ignored could have wiped down the tables in that time. The soda station had a bunch of used straw sleeves on it, and I really wish I had taken pictures of the place. Despite having 4 beverages nobody offered me a drink carrier and when I went up to the register I found it hard to get anybody's attention to ask for one. There were multiple people coming and going but not one of them addressed the fact that I was standing at the register, or smiled my way, or even made eye contact. When I did receive my order a chicken share bucket was missing and by the time I got home and noticed it, drove back through the traffic and got back home, my food was cold and the person who I got the bucket for was really upset that he had to wait almost another 30 minutes for his food. As for the food, everyone loved the chicken but the fish I got was the greasiest thing I've had in a while. Yes I KNOW it's fried fast food, but this one was just abnormally greasy, and I don't know how people could stomach it to eat the entire thing. Overall I'm really disappointed and dissatisfied with my experience here. Rude employees, dirty restaurant, and an incomplete order is just not worth anybody's time or money- some of us have standards, yes, even when it comes to fast food, and if any of you do too then I suggest you find someplace else to eat, like at home or chick-Fil A. read more

KFC/Long John Silver, I ordered a $5.00 Fill Up Box and then I asked how much a chicken breast is? After a few seconds, I was given the price and said yes, I want that as well. I proceeded to the DT-Window and she charges just for the chk breast. I said, oh, I still wanted my $5.00 dollar Fill Up Box, thinking it wasn't a big deal. The DT cashier smirks at me and says, sorry, I can't take your order at the window. I'm thinking that's a stupid. I then said, why don't you just take my order and I'll pull over and you can bring it out to me. She says, sorry we can't do that. After going back and forth with this absent minded person, I gave up. I told her how stupid of a rule and policy that it is and it doesn't make any sense at all. Kent's Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise has moved off Central Avenue and up the hill, to a shiny new restaurant next to G.I. Joe's and across from the Home Depot. It also now includes the Long John Silvers menu, in case you'd like to add fish & chips, shrimp, or hush puppies to that bucket of delicious Colonel's Original Recipe. The dining room is clean and bright, and the place is a comfortable lunch stop if you want to eat inside. By now, you're probably wondering why I only gave it three stars, if the food is so good and the new building is so wonderful. The service here has ranged from 'poor' to 'miserable', and every time I come here I promise myself I'm not coming back...until months go by, and I forget why I'm resisting the siren call of that deep-fried perfection. Then they inevitably find new and surprising ways to disappoint me. Again, the food has always been stellar - when I can get it. One lunch break we waited 25 minutes for our food to come out of the fryer. Drive through has been quicker, but the menu is generally spotty - three separate occasions I've had to change my order because they were out of my first choice. Just so I'm clear, this wasn't lobster bites or gluten-free honey barbecue boneless wings or something off the wall, this was *corn* and *fried chicken*. Let me just go over that one more time - I went to KFC and *couldn't get chicken*. I expect that we'll see this place reach its potential sometime soon, when staff turnover gets somebody into the manager slot that can keep things moving along. When that day comes, I'll let you know.
