Very disappointed in the service from this location , I went through the drive through at this location today at 7:20 pm. Was excited about having kfc chicken for dinner attempted to place an order for the family bucket for 8 pieces. Was told they did not have regular only crispy said they where out of regular and I could only have crispy. I asked if they where out as in they had no more at this location or if just the regular was not ready . Employee then came back to the intercom and said we have it it's just not cooked , I then asked about how long the wait would be before ready . I was then told 38 minutes until it would be ready . I then asked for a minute to look over minute and decide if I would get something else because of the wait or if I would wait for the chicken . Then the employee came back on the intercom and rudely asked so are you just going to wait there or you going to get the crispy or order the regular , I need to know so I can know if we need to make some . I then asked if I could speak to the manager and was told she was the manager she said her name was Samantha . I asked so you are not making any regular chicken until I place my order even though your out , this is the first time I heard of this at any of there locations . At this point the employee attitude and verbiage and elevated voice . Who seemed provoked by my request of regular chicken became uncomfortable. And I no longer wanted to place an order from them , I was unsure if some one would make my order special in the wrong way or the freshness of there food . I will not be returning to this location , thankfully golden chick is down the road where the staff are kind and food is always ready and hot . read more

This place is terrible. Service is slow. The employees are lazy. You may want to spend your money elsewhere. Not sure how or why this place is still in business. read more

The last couple times I went expecting a different experience I was let down time after time, my chicken wings were absolutely burn and another time the skin on my chicken was so soggy it was disgusting. Do not got to this kfc!! I Can't wait for a Popeyes to open In the area. read more

Just walked out of KFC/long John silvers on the 4 of December 2016 at 2:55pm. We had spend $40 in food and were dining in. The manager in charge, a short Hispanic lady was running the counter. We got our food, and sat down. My mom went to the counter and asked for plates and returned to sit back down. Then we realized the hush puppies were not in the meal, so again my mom got up and was greeted with "what do you want" from the lovely Hispanic lady that was running the counter. They were given to her with a nice eye roll. Finally when we finished our meal I went up to the counter to ask for a bag. She rolled her eyes at me and preceded to ignore me. I was hoping they were having an off day the first time I went, but sadly the two other chances I gave them were exactly the same. It took about 15-20 min to get my food each time, with only 1 other customer there besides me, so they were not busy. They forgot biscuits I ordered the first visit, and gave me the wrong side another time. But the most disappointing thing is that this is not the KFC yummy food I have experienced at other stores. I'm not sure what they're doing to their food, but the chicken was overcooked all 3 visits, biscuits were like rocks, I got "waffles" the last visit and they tasted stale, if that's even possible. I got watery mac and cheese and cold fries.... It's just all been horrible food. 3 strikes, you're out Elgin KFC. Do better, you're making the Colonel sad! read more

The food is great, it's KFC, tastes like every other KFC. However, my order is almost never even close to right when I go through the drive thru. They are also usually out of something that we want. After a few really bad mess ups (not getting over half my food), I always check the bag, it is pretty clear they don't. Servers are nice though. read more

We enjoyed the food but the Manager has no business working around the public. She slammed oir food down on the tray and my son went up to ask for ketchup she ignored him he asked again and she held her finger up and said wait. He Lost it asked for the manager she said she was the manager. She was in a hurry to get off and did not have time to help a customer. I will continue to eat there the food is good but will definitely make sure she is not there when we go eat. They really need to look into this ladies attitude. read more

The drive thru takes extremely long time. I have waited in a three car line for 15 minutes before only to not be greeted at the window for another three. Completely ignored me so I left after wasting that time! read more

I go to this location every once in a while. The food is the same as any other KFC, the taste and temperature is always okay so no points deducted there. A majority of the time staff is rude. Another issue is my order is always wrong or the portions are smaller than expected. Honestly it brings down the value in my opinion and I'm giving up on this location. read more

They refused to sell me chicken on 01/03/18. They could not give me a good reason why

My husband loves kfc chicken So being a good wife I ask him if he wanted to go and get kfc We pull up (pouring rain, crying baby in the backseat, and frazzled mama) and order our food I apparently was taking to long to tell the drive thru worker our drink orders as she got rude and asked again Strike one in my book I get to the window and the lady is still rude, giving me side eye (no doubt because my baby girl had just become inconsolable for no reason other than she was bored) and scoffed when I finally got my card out and gave it to her She then made me pull up (literally no one in front of or behind us) and made her pour coworker run out in the POURING rain to give us our food Strike two We left in a hurry to get the screaming baby home Or to at least get moving so she would fall asleep 10 minutes later we're home and I should not be surprised at all my husbands order was wrong 3pc chicken with two breasts and a thigh is all he wanted but he got two thighs and one VERY TINY, crunchy, and dry as hell wing. Strike three I have eaten here multiple times and every single time I give them a chance they screw up the order Not a single time have I gotten what I asked/paid for without having to go back and get it fixed Would not recommend eating here I gave the benefit of the doubt too many times and feel as though I was cheated out of my money and treated like absolute trash. Ps IF YOU DONT ENJOY PROVIDING A SERVICE TO OTHERS DO NOT DO IT. WE DO NOT WANT TO SPEAK TO/ SEE A RUDE PERSON WHEN WE ARE TRYING TO BE POLITE. Fix your attitude. read more

The food isn't good it is like they overcook everything. I have stopped going there because they get the order wrong every time.

The food was disgusting... it smelt like rancid grease and tasted like it. I had to spit out the food and trash it. I called the 1-800 number only to have the manager excuse away that they filter the grease twice and change it nightly. Her comment was to call her district manager and complain as she excused this by a government mandate to use zero trans fat oil in their cooking. When asked what did I want, I replied a full refund and her comment was to drive back to Elgin and bring my receipt. She obtained my name and number from my online feedback/survey which in reality is a marketing survey cloaked In a true customer feedback survey. This used to be a pretty good little stopping place on my way to Austin... Key word there is USED to be! The current management (particularly the one this morning (3-1-16) should be FIRED! It went from a friendly quick stop months back, has been slower the last couple months and then today... The store was supposed to open at 10:30 per their sign. So I stop on the way home from a doctors appointment at 10:32 and no one was working the drive through. No big deal I thought "they are just opening, I'll run inside." So I pulled around, parked, and went to try the door which was LOCKED. Went in to try the inside door, and the door was still down with someone else waiting inside! I went back to the outside door, and knocked on it to let them know it was time to open. I stood there until 10:40 when I could see two bigger lades inside behind the counter just glare at me and go on about their business! This was a far cry from the friendly fast KFC that used to exist at this location! They lost three customers from being late, and it didn't seem to bother them a bit as they moved in a sloth like state. I'll give them awhile to clean up their "team" before trying them anytime soon! Until that happens... you may want to change the hours on your sign to TBD! read more
