Spotless dining room probably the cleanest I've seen at a KFC. Service was excellent. Original Recipe needed about 20 minutes, and they immediately offered a complimentary drink while I waited. Apparently their Nashville hot chicken tenders are all the rage on the social media these days. Yelp is the only one of those platforms I use these days, but my boo uses the others and had an interest in trying this nationalized attempt at a regional chicken speciality. Following a stop in lovely Allentown, we continued east on 195 to end up in this dystopian area off the highway near great adventure. We didn't hit this KFC simply for the adventure factor or attraction to the sprawl of ocean county (or is this Monmouth still? Who knows). We also came here because they were the only store out of others we tried that actually answered their phone! Not only did they answer, they confirmed that yes indeed, they have the trendy, sauce-slathered and now in a supply chain shortage poultry we so desired. Accompanying our Nashville tenders was another overhyped, suddenly trendy item: the chicken sandwich! This revolutionary concept is back at KFC (did it ever leave?) and their version is quite decent. I ordered mine sans Mayo and didn't even eat most of the bun, but the chicken tasted fresh, crispy and had the colonel's famous 11 herbs & spices (you mainly taste black pepper) within. I enjoyed it, but the Popeyes iteration is superior. However it goes without saying that KFC's version blows McDonald's out of the water. Another surprise: the biscuits here were fresh, buttery and soft! While I haven't been to a KFC in years, their biscuits are usually a bit stale tasting, I guess the lard hardens up after a while? At 180 calories a pop, these were worthwhile! As for the reason we came? It too is worth a try. The "Nashville" hot sauce has some cayenne powder in it, and while it packs some heat, you'll be OK. I'd say it's maybe 3/10 on the "will I drip sweat and burn my mouth" scale. We opted for ranch dipping sauce and it complements the heat very nicely. One star deducted because they charge 15 cents each for additional sauces. We wanted to try the "KFC sauce," no idea what it is, maybe a chick fil a sauce knock off? Well, we still don't know, because they forgot to deliver the product while stealing our 30 hard earned cents. Drive through line was too long to make it worth the time value of money. All in all, give this KFC a try if you haven't been in a while and have a hankering for some poultry. I think their location near great adventure ensures a fresh product that doesn't sit for too long. We'd make the schlep from Bordentown again if that says something. read more

Had ordered food after a longtime. I think I had forgotten the taste of it. It taste great esp the Cajun chicken on the menu is awesome.

I cannot say that I have been here before prior to this visit, and I only went through the drive-through, but this was the first and only KFC that I have ever been to in the tri-state area )or ever), that has had such fresh food with a little grease and took no more than a total five minutes. We were headed to Six Flags and decided to grab a quick meal that would be cheaper than buying some thing in the park. This KFC is probably about 3 to 5 minutes away to Six Flags so in case you are planning to do a trip, I recommend that if you're grabbing some type of fast food. We ordered mac & cheese, apple pie, a big box with mashed potatoes, and had french fries. The french fries were perfectly crisp on the outside with a nice soft filling on the inside (the perfect fry). The workers were polite and swift And all of the food was absolutely delicious. I can't believe the KFC you like this exist. I cannot speak for the indoor dining portion of this restaurant, but the drive-through and food, well that's a five star! read more

Do not go to this KFC. I spent $25 on tenders. After the cashier, Ariel, also the store mgr.. gave me my order, I asked him for 2 more dipping sauces. He said no! Ariel said if I wanted more than the 4 sauce I was given, I would have to pay 25 cents for each additional sauce. Plus , he would except any money from me, he said I had to go back on line, I went back inline and waited another 15 minutes for 3 people to place their order before I could pay for my to dipping sauces. While I was on line I heard him make fun of me in Spanish. My wife is Spanish, so I understood everything he said. I cant believe such a rude person is running this restaurant. He said I'm the manager, and that's what you have to do to get extra sauces. Then he laughed with his co-worker about me. KFCs have become hard to find for us -- there used to be many, including one quite local, but no more. We decided to give this one a try, and we're glad we did. The food is fresh, the service is quick (even when the drive-thru is lined up with vehicles), and the folks who serve you at the window are really nice. It's not terribly close to us, but since it is the closest we can manage, we're glad it's a really nice place and nice to go to. read more

Kind of a lonely KFC/Long John's location. With Six Flags closed, there's literally no reason to be in the area. This is a pretty decent KFC though. About as clean as they come. Staff is friendly. Food moves fast. Two of my favorite fast food places in one so I can't complain. read more

Your typical KFC establishment, this particular location made the addition of a Long John Silvers a few years ago and it has gone down in food quality ever since. I miss the days when the fried chicken tasted like fried chicken, and not fish-and vice versa. I will say that the only reason it does not get one star is because the service and cleanliness of this place is very good. The staff always has smiles and they are very polite and accomidating. This place is right down from six flags great adventure stopped by there today to grab a bite to eat before going to the park. got a 2 piece meal with coleslaw and mashed potatoes. Food was alright but this location is not well kept when it comes to house cleaning. tables were dirty and floor was dirty and had trash on the floor. Workers seemed to be more worried about cleaning the parking lot instead of the store. Store was very busy being right down from the park. Would not stop here again. read more

Drive thru was closed (huh?) so I had to go inside. I look like a bald overweight googan so I was kind of bummed to be in public, but I wanted chicken. They have WAY too many signs taped all over, and the place was a wreck. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and were fairly rude to customers. It was kind of funny to me but sad at the same time. A lady asked if they could re-stock the plasticware and got snapped at, saying 'I'll get to it when I can, we are busy!"...this is a total NO GO. You don't talk to customers like that. The same angry lady packed up my food, slung it onto the counter, mumbled '8 piece' over her chubby shoulder and walked off. She forgot the biscuits so I had to wait. And wait. Finally got her attention by throwing a packet of ketchup at her (I didn't but thought about it) and got my damn b's. We usually go through the drive thru, and will keep that up. Rarely go to a fast food place but with six flags open during the season, this becomes a quick fix for the whole family. Long John Silvers, Excellently Prepared Chicken, Shrimp, and Fish. Golden light batter, fresh tender, hot, yet crispy chicken, nice size shrimp, and fish.
