    Irish coffee

The food here is really hit or miss. I sat at the bar, and the service was almost nonexistent from one of the bartenders--she was right in front of me and still never came over to take an order. Thankfully, the other two bartenders noticed and stepped in to handle both my drink and food orders. The beer was very cold and really good, but the mixed drinks were disappointing. The Irish coffee was just okay. Overall, decent atmosphere and great beer, but the service and mixed drinks need improvement.

Terrible. Went here, ordered a couple apps, potato wedges and fried calamari, which was okay. I got the stuffed pork chops and it was a lot but had way too much breading on them. I had a side of sweet potato fries which were barely edible. My friend ordered a medium steak. When he got it, it was well done. He showed the waitress (once she finally came back very much later) and she said it would be remade. She came back and she told us the chef refused to remake it. She thankfully took it off our bill. Then, you can only split a check 3 ways here. There were 5 of us. Well she didn't split it at all and said yeah sorry. I do not recommend this place. There are much better places in the area.

We visited on Thursday, with a party of five, for lunch and it was a very nice experience. We arrived right at opening and were seated at a spacious table. The dining room is large, with a bar on the other side. The waitress stopped by and took drink orders, their margaritas are tall and strong. We started with a few appetizers; Chicken Wings, Buffalo Shrimp, and Stuffed Mushrooms. They were all well prepared and tasty. From there we went with Surf & Turf, Prime Rib, The Plumsted Burger, Filet Bearnaise, and a Cheesesteak. All the entrees were cooked to order, fresh, and had huge portions. The service was outstanding. The waitress kept up with all our needs, even though we were ordering off the Dinner Menu at lunch. Overall, an excellent place to dine.

Roast beef over pieces of bread, with hot brown gravy and a side of mashed potatoes.

Ok full disclosure, I'm a hot or open-face sandwich of any kind. So when I saw the roast beef with brown gravy over bread with mashed potatoes, I was in heaven. It was huge and perfectly delicious, and I did everything but lick the plate. Service was spot-on, and the ambiance was wonderful with the log cabin feel and decor.

Very casual but generally speaking it was a good experience. Showed up on a Sunday when we were joining a party of 8 and with no reservation and went into a mild panic attack once I saw the crowded parking lot for a car show. Parking was a challenge and the wait for a table was just 20 minutes, for which I was thankful with two small children in the group. The menu is covered all tastes, and there is a full bar. I even saw people taking drinks outside in plastic cups to enjoy while viewing the car show. Portions were so large that we all had something to take home, and the cost was beyond reasonable. A good experience overall.

Great place to stop for lunch as you are crossing the lower region of the Pine Barrens. Good quality food for a decent price.

The area is great. We had a lobster roll, New England clam chowder, Manhattan clam chowder, swordfish bites, and brussels sprouts, with bacon and Parmesan, and two unsweetened iced teas. Everything was wonderful. We highly recommend the swordfish bites, they were literally fantastic. You can sit inside or outside, we opted for outside because they had shady little nooks where you could sit that had fans and it was so cool and comfortable. I could've sat there for hours. This is a BYOB. We had also visited the other point lobster house that is in the walkable town a few blocks away and that is a bar so it's not a BYOB. Just something to keep in mind the spot that's by the water you need to bring your own wine.

I ordered the hot lobster roll, and while it was decent, I've definitely had better. It just didn't have the flavor I was expecting, especially considering the price. My wife had the fish sandwich special, and she felt the same , it was okay, but nothing memorable. Overall, the food was average, and we both thought it was a little overpriced for what we got. If you're already in Point Pleasant, it's a convenient place to grab a bite and enjoy the waterfront, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

A cozy bar area greets customers if you want to grab a drink while waiting to be seated. They also offer upstairs seating, rounding out a welcoming and highly professional atmosphere that has stood the test of time.   THE FOOD * Bread Service: The bread arrived with a tasty honey, chive, thyme, salt, and pepper butter, which was a nice touch. * Kumamoto Oysters: Ice cold and refreshing. They were complemented with cocktail sauce, watermelon mignonette, and fresh grated horseradish. * Crab Salad Special: Served in a martini glass. It featured cold, chilled crab marinated with tequila, triple sec, and lime, carefully laid on a bed of avocado mousse with an Old Bay-lined rim. Delicious and refreshing during a hot summer evening. * Tri-Color Beet Salad: A roasted beet and citrus salad with whipped ricotta and a pistachio honey vinaigrette that provided rich bites. * New York Strip: Sourced from Allen Brothers in Chicago. A showstopper with excellent crust and beef flavor. We ordered the Au Poivre sauce, which was tasty, but the steak was so good on its own that I ended up using the sauce for my sides! * 14 oz Center Cut Filet: Also sourced from Allen Brothers. Tender as expected with a wonderfully executed crust. * French Bordeaux Wines: We ordered the Chateau Loudenne Medoc and the Chateau De Sales Pomerol. Both were tasty, medium-to-full-bodied, and served as excellent accompaniments to the steaks. * Tuna Special: Nicely seared tuna served over vegetables and udon noodles. * Limoncello Pistachio Tiramisu: Very light and a nice end to the meal. * Kentucky Butter Cake: Served in a cast-iron pot with vanilla ice cream. Yummy and rich.   THE SERVICE Our server, Gene, has been with the restaurant for 8 years and provided exceptional service. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, pointing out standout options like the pastrami-dusted bone-in filet and the 45-day aged tomahawk topped with a root beer bourbon bacon compound butter.   OVERALL A great steakhouse experience with a highly professional staff and a kitchen that flawlessly executes high-quality steaks. Great phone voice, by the way. We walked to the restaurant during the purported "heat dome" weekend. Fortunately, the air conditioning is pristine. We sat at the oyster bar and recommend you do so too. Our waiter was great. We should have caught his name but didn't. Either way, he was a real one. P spotted some absolute babe across the bar and asked our waiter what she was drinking. Important side note: attractive people dine here, but not in an intimidating way if you're a normie. Turns out it was a mocktail from the Zero Proof menu. We don't judge. Our waiter then turned us on to an OG move: order a mocktail and add booze. P got the Pink Drink and added vodka. J ordered a Bee's Knees and a Firing Squad. All above average. Anyway, we created an oyster flight and got two of each, working our way across the Eastern Seaboard. The house sauce was fantastic and incorporated some sort of onion and horseradish combination. We don't pretend to understand what that sorcery was, but keep doing it. Create your own GD oyster flight. You won't regret it. We also ordered some shrimp cocktail and shared the lobster roll sandwich. We forgot to take pics, but the generic photo attached is actually how it looks. Not a bad bite. This was the perfect amount of food for two hungover people who took IR Adderall before the walk. We lingered for a while and they don't push you out. Ended up ordering a couple IPAs. They started shucking oysters to prepare for the dinner crowd, which is neat to watch when you're on the spectrum like us. Also, the walls are covered in different oyster plates. We spent about 20 minutes discussing which one was our favorite. We landed on a green one. It's a real vibe lifter of a joint. Brought us back to life. 10/10.

Our waiter did not come to take our order until a good 35-40 minutes after sitting, not a huge deal but a notable delay. What irritated me during dinner was we were asked if we'd like dessert while 2 people were still eating their meals, followed by the check immediately arriving- no etiquette. While paying and wrapping up the staff were directed to clear the table, this was obvious. For full drinks to be removed without asking is unacceptable. It was as if we weren't even sitting there the manner they were clearing. Again it was obvious the direction of the manager, they needed the table. Try being efficient to start instead of creating a rush at the end if overbooked and delayed. It's classier than putting a check on a table with people eating and rudely clearing drinks. Will not be returning. There is better up the road with real management and service.
