Giving two star for the ice cold coors light. That was the only good thing served last night. We ordered wings, martini, dessert and an Irish coffee. We sat at the bar and even though we were in direct sight of the bartenders (3-4), service was slow. We ordered beers first and 10 min after finishing them someone asked if we wanted a second round and we agreed. Another 10ish min went by before we flagged down a bartender. For our second round we had one beer and I ordered a martini. The raspberry martini was not good. The color was a brown/pink. I still drank it because I'm not the kind of person to send anything back. My husband ordered wings, he likes them, I thought they were tasteless. We ordered cheese cake and carrot cake for dessert and they both tasted like they've been sitting in the fridge for a long while. What a bummer! I don't know why we keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt. If I come back here it will be for beers only.

The food here is really hit or miss. I sat at the bar, and the service was almost nonexistent from one of the bartenders--she was right in front of me and still never came over to take an order. Thankfully, the other two bartenders noticed and stepped in to handle both my drink and food orders. The beer was very cold and really good, but the mixed drinks were disappointing. The Irish coffee was just okay. Overall, decent atmosphere and great beer, but the service and mixed drinks need improvement.

Stuffed pork chops

Terrible. Went here, ordered a couple apps, potato wedges and fried calamari, which was okay. I got the stuffed pork chops and it was a lot but had way too much breading on them. I had a side of sweet potato fries which were barely edible. My friend ordered a medium steak. When he got it, it was well done. He showed the waitress (once she finally came back very much later) and she said it would be remade. She came back and she told us the chef refused to remake it. She thankfully took it off our bill. Then, you can only split a check 3 ways here. There were 5 of us. Well she didn't split it at all and said yeah sorry. I do not recommend this place. There are much better places in the area.

We visited on Thursday, with a party of five, for lunch and it was a very nice experience. We arrived right at opening and were seated at a spacious table. The dining room is large, with a bar on the other side. The waitress stopped by and took drink orders, their margaritas are tall and strong. We started with a few appetizers; Chicken Wings, Buffalo Shrimp, and Stuffed Mushrooms. They were all well prepared and tasty. From there we went with Surf & Turf, Prime Rib, The Plumsted Burger, Filet Bearnaise, and a Cheesesteak. All the entrees were cooked to order, fresh, and had huge portions. The service was outstanding. The waitress kept up with all our needs, even though we were ordering off the Dinner Menu at lunch. Overall, an excellent place to dine.

Roast beef over pieces of bread, with hot brown gravy and a side of mashed potatoes.

Ok full disclosure, I'm a hot or open-face sandwich of any kind. So when I saw the roast beef with brown gravy over bread with mashed potatoes, I was in heaven. It was huge and perfectly delicious, and I did everything but lick the plate. Service was spot-on, and the ambiance was wonderful with the log cabin feel and decor.

Very casual but generally speaking it was a good experience. Showed up on a Sunday when we were joining a party of 8 and with no reservation and went into a mild panic attack once I saw the crowded parking lot for a car show. Parking was a challenge and the wait for a table was just 20 minutes, for which I was thankful with two small children in the group. The menu is covered all tastes, and there is a full bar. I even saw people taking drinks outside in plastic cups to enjoy while viewing the car show. Portions were so large that we all had something to take home, and the cost was beyond reasonable. A good experience overall.

Cabin Burger with fries!

My wife and I drove down to South Jersey on a Saturday afternoon to meet friends, and stopped at the Plumsted Grill for an early dinner. This was a fun place with a lot of locals and a nice big bar. It has a vibe of feeling at home with friends. We heard the burgers were very good here so everyone but me ordered the Cabin burger. I went with the cheesesteak. I figured we were close enough to Philly, they must be good. None of us were disappointed. The food was very good. The coleslaw that I ordered as a side was outstanding! This is a good place to go for drinks and a casual dinner. You'll have a good time!

French Dip with onion rings

Stopped in with a group of friends after spending a day outside at the local winery for a Hawaiian Luau event. Party of 8. Initial suggestion was to put us outside as they didn't have an easy way to accommodate us. Having been outside all day already, we requested indoor seating. They found a space which was cramped but it worked. Server was very attentive and did a good job taking care of us although the food took a very long time to come out. Even for a party of 8, the food turnaround was slow. My dish was the French Dip with onion rings. Our table also ordered Buffalo wings which were very nice. The French dip was good, but not great. The shaved beef was very good and the portion size was generous. Bread was fresh and soft. The au jus was a big flop in my opinion. The ramekin was less than half full which means it was gone by the time I finished "dipping". Photo clearly shows how empty the au jus container came out. The au jus flavor was lacking almost completely to the point of being watery. Not salty enough or "rich" enough to really make this a great French dip. Onion rings were awful. Came out cold and tasted like they were fried in very old oil. The food for me was a solid 2 but I think others dishes were better including the wings. Service was good so I think they earned the 3 rating. I've dined here in the past (many years ago) and this has dropped off quite a bit from what I remember.

3.75 Larger party- 7 Service- Good, we had a nice server and quick service Ambiance- Nice inside- cabin like decor. Only downfall is it was very loud. Also, when my 10 year old daughter went to the bathroom, a server was complaining about the heat in the kitchen and mentioned their tables asking for too much sh*%t, which is not ideal to have your daughter hear. Meals: Kick off with bread- crispy and hot- very good and light. Chicken Caesar salad- large, would make sense to have a half portion option as the size is a bit ridiculous. Lots of chicken as well- good, but nothing special. Lettuce seemed fresh. I asked about the shrimp option, but only 3 regular sized shrimp come with that for $9 extra. Chicken Alfredo- Heavy sauce, again a ridiculous portion (can feed at least 3). Heavy garlic, which is a plus for those that like garlic. Decent amount of chicken. Scallops- Good flavor, side garlic mashed potatoes. Came with soup- cream of broccoli. Chicken tenders app, add fries. Larger tenders, but thin. Basic but good. Stuffed flounder- good, stuffing is thick, pretty good amount but heavy. Bang bang taco app (3, large) and onion rings Veal Marsala- Very good, large portion. Very thin cut and tender- lots of large mushroom (3 pieces of veal). So decent meals all around, but nothing I would be inclined to rush back for.

There is a to go area, bathroom, and then indoor seating area. They have merchandise behind the register. Started with the tuna nachos and crab rangoon mozzarella sticks. Tuna was good quality and had a good coating of sesame seeds. My perfect bite was tuna, orange sauce, seaweed, tomato, & onion. The chips were perfectly crispy. The crab rangoon was surprisingly good. This appetizer is what made me pick this place. Such a good combination. Didn't need the marinera sauce. Next up soups. Lobster bisque was ok. I guess I was expecting it to be a little more rich. But it was good, it tasted exactly like lobster and I got good chunks in the soup too. Now the shrimp and corn chowder was super flavorful. Favorite dish of the meal. For mains, cold lobster roll and two tails w butter and side salad. Side salad was well dressed and I appreciate the ribbons of Parmesan. The lobster was mostly cooked right. There was one that was a bit chewy. Added salt and butter but felt like something was missing still. I couldn't find a good combo of toppings to go with the lobster. The cold lobster roll was alright. The potato bread added a good sweet flavor that complimented the lobster. Overall a decent meal.

The coconut shrimp in the Wow Roll was a standout moment. Light, crispy, and perfectly balanced. The warm lobster roll was generous and satisfying! We started with chowder, one Manhattan and one New England- both fantastic. Two appetizers- the fried clam strips and the tuna tartare sushi - another win/win! For the entrees we took one from the specials, a blackened Mahi Mahi with lemon mashed potatoes and green beans which was sublime. For the other we tried a lobster taco that came with a choice of salad or hand cut fries. We went the fry route. They were great. Notes: it's a small place, they do not take reservations so you will wait for a table, however, they will text you when it's ready. They do sell wine or byob - your choice. They have a fish market and their own fishing boats and are proud to serve their own caught fish. This seems to be a local favorite in the Point Pleasant area. It will be crowded- it will be worth the wait. Come comfortable, it's laid back and it's all about enjoying really good seafood!

This place is FIRE!!!…read more Best oysters I ever had, and they came with a lot of oyster liquor (natural juice that oysters produce, a mix of seawater from their habitat and their own internal fluids such as hemolymph (the invertebrate equivalent of blood) and cellular fluids). The oyster liquor makes it so the oyster remains fresh btw as well which is obviously uber important. We had oysters from Maine, Rhode Island, and Connecticut and all of the ones we chose you could taste the unique differences from one to the next. Crab cakes were on point; the vegetables were next level with the side of asparagus coming with roe on top of it. New England soup was actually light and not heavy like most creamy NE soups which I appreciated as it made me have room for the rest of the meal. We also indulged in some Butterscotch Pudding which in my view had three distinct flavors. The very top tasted similar to sweet creme Brule, the actual pudding was creamy and delish and there was a garnish of whipped cream I believe on top. All items surpassed my expectations and we will definitely be repeat customers. Highly Recommend. As always people SYOY!!!!

Our waiter did not come to take our order until a good 35-40 minutes after sitting, not a huge deal but a notable delay. What irritated me during dinner was we were asked if we'd like dessert while 2 people were still eating their meals, followed by the check immediately arriving- no etiquette. While paying and wrapping up the staff were directed to clear the table, this was obvious. For full drinks to be removed without asking is unacceptable. It was as if we weren't even sitting there the manner they were clearing. Again it was obvious the direction of the manager, they needed the table. Try being efficient to start instead of creating a rush at the end if overbooked and delayed. It's classier than putting a check on a table with people eating and rudely clearing drinks. Will not be returning. There is better up the road with real management and service.
