    Cold sarrarchi soup, very tasty

Our first visit to Fernando's grill found it doing a job search certainly a very interesting menu to say the least. After speaking with Gabrielle for a little while about the menu items and getting her take on things we were ready to place our order my wife had the broiled stuffed shrimp, which was jumbo butterfly shrimp stuffed with lump crab meat stuffing with Sherry wine lemon juice and butter served with Yukon gold mashed potatoes which we passed on and doubled up on the vegetable medley. And I ordered the seafood fra Diablo, A mix of shrimp mussels and salmon in a spicy fried Diablo sauce. Both dishes came with a choice salad or soup it was a hot soup and a cold soup so we decided to try one of each the hot soup had a mushroom foundation to it and the cold soup was more of a Suraci soup which had a really nice kick to it. Be sure to see your photos the platings are beautiful

Fernando's continuously delivers outstanding food and service. Whether dining-in, take-out or outdoor dining due to the Pandemic, the food at Fernando's has been a consistent pleasure. Our latest venture here was for Valentine's Day and as in the past, food is top notch.   Some of my favorites here are the Pan Seared Salmon, Chicken Francaise, and Chicken Marsala. All simply delicious. The salads accompanying the meal are plentiful and larger than what you would expect for a side salad.  The warm bread and butter served prior to the meal is complimentary. Save room for dessert, because the Chocolate Mousse is too die for.   The portions are large, so I usually have leftovers to take home. We also love their 3-course early bird special, which is offered until 5:30 pm and includes soup or salad, an entree and dessert.

The food here is insanely fresh as was our daily interpretation involving copious use of root vegetables. In a Woodstock mood, I went for a mushroom motif inclusive of a mushroom onion soup and mushroom infused homemade cavatelli. You won't get points for atmosphere as the location is main street central and directly across from an Irish pub that is still serving the same slab of corned beef that they first boiled in 1991. If you're a foodie or even a fraudie, 12 Farms offers infinite pleasures and is richly deserving of a resounding five stars. Speaking of rich bring lots of cash as plastic is not accepted.

The soup sampling consisted of three very tiny cups that were sort of like an espresso size cup. The salad was a very small portion. They said that the portion sizes were not smaller because of the $65 price fix option. If you ordered the salads à la carte they arranged from $19-$22 I believe. Had I did the à la cart and received that portion for that much money I would be disappointed to say the least; my wife and I often share a salad before entrées and generally speaking they are big enough to share but their portion wasn't enough for me alone. Presentation was beautiful and service was great, as well as the ambience, and we have been there several times. We are raying a 3 because of the positives, but I did consider making it a 2. I hope the restaurant takes note and addresses the piints I made. Note that the entrée portions were good.

However, they did a great job updating the tables, benches and counter, as well as opening up the diner to allow for additional seating. It still has all the old school charm, yet in an updated more comfortable setting. The Hightstown diner has been a fixture in downtown Hightstown for over 90 years. It's a diner and the food and service fit that description perfectly. The food is solid and reasonably priced diner fare. Service is friendly and efficient. We frequent this place on occasion for breakfast and brunch. I had the chicken panini and it was very good. I've tried a variety of options from omelets, turkey sandwich, to soups all for a reasonable price.

Everything is cold, sterile, and trying way too hard to be trendy instead of just being a good old fashioned train car diner. The prices are ridiculous for what you get, especially considering it used to be a spot where you could grab a solid, affordable meal. Now it's all style over substance, overpriced plates, smaller portions, and none of the comfort or the charm that made it worth going to in the first place. It's disappointing to see a place that once felt local and authentic turn into just another generic, overpriced "modern vibe" spot. Definitely not what it used to be, and honestly not worth it anymore. Long time customer, now going elsewhere. Woodys in Allentown is much better.

Absolutely incredible wings here, they're the 1%er of wings. It's not a debate. I see a few complaining about small wings lol. 1. If you're just hungry for chicken go do that, small wings are a way to maximize flavor and that's what Anthony's accomplishes in these perfectly cooked, crisp, flavor packed hot and extra hot (my personal reco but not for faint of heart) wing 2. They have jumbo wings for you non wing knowing hungry eaters that don't get it, so order that before complaining, you're just getting an inferior wing but can enjoy their incredible sauces that way Sorry, I'm a wing snob and I'm riled up at poor reviews from non wing knowers, who are the reason why we as a country are losing ground on good Buffalo wings. They're going extinct because of viewpoints like some of what I see on here. Go to KFC if you're gonna hate, don't bring a good business down (also please note I'm being jestful in tone if you can't parse through, but I'm also serious). Second - really great other options including Buffalo tenders, cheesesteaks are great, some fish options (Buffalo shrimp of course!). But again, for true wing enthusiasts, this is my WING OF THE YEAR for 2023 and beyond. Also very friendly customer service there, clearly good people. Comfortable vibe inside, kind of diner type feel, the right feel for a true wing spot. Clean bathrooms. I ate these wings 4 hours ago and now writing about it and all I want to do is drive the 50 minutes back to get more. *****

From your sandwiches, omelettes, crepes, typical deserts such as cake and pie, to just about anything else you'd expect to find on a menu for a diner. The service was overall fine but nothing super special but it still is a decent diner to go to for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is better to go around dinner time because then they give you complimentary garlic knots which are delicious. And the televisions they have around the diner are also nice to watch too so you don't feel bored. The only major criticisms I have is that there are times when there are tables that are still very dirty rather its from dirty dishes or too much dust lying around the diner. Another criticism is that the deserts maybe dry from sitting in the fridge too long which is disappointing because they look delicious. The final criticism is that it can be noisy too inside when its always busy. But that is expected as that happens anywhere. In the end, its a solid diner to go to. But it's not the best diner out there as there are plenty other better options for food and to hang out.

When it comes to complaints though they're really only minor complaints. The mashed potatoes and gravy could be a bit better as they're mixed together automatically rather than being separated. The main issue isn't them being together but more just the flavor as they're kind of bland and so is the gravy. The coleslaw is average but needs more flavor too. Finally, the rolls are below average as they aren't freshly baked. They're more like a discount version of Hawaiian sweet rolls. Even warmed up or toasted, they have a slightly weird after taste and aren't as good as freshly baked biscuits.
