    Cold sarrarchi soup, very tasty

Our first visit to Fernando's grill found it doing a job search certainly a very interesting menu to say the least. After speaking with Gabrielle for a little while about the menu items and getting her take on things we were ready to place our order my wife had the broiled stuffed shrimp, which was jumbo butterfly shrimp stuffed with lump crab meat stuffing with Sherry wine lemon juice and butter served with Yukon gold mashed potatoes which we passed on and doubled up on the vegetable medley. And I ordered the seafood fra Diablo, A mix of shrimp mussels and salmon in a spicy fried Diablo sauce. Both dishes came with a choice salad or soup it was a hot soup and a cold soup so we decided to try one of each the hot soup had a mushroom foundation to it and the cold soup was more of a Suraci soup which had a really nice kick to it. Be sure to see your photos the platings are beautiful

Fernando's continuously delivers outstanding food and service. Whether dining-in, take-out or outdoor dining due to the Pandemic, the food at Fernando's has been a consistent pleasure. Our latest venture here was for Valentine's Day and as in the past, food is top notch.   Some of my favorites here are the Pan Seared Salmon, Chicken Francaise, and Chicken Marsala. All simply delicious. The salads accompanying the meal are plentiful and larger than what you would expect for a side salad.  The warm bread and butter served prior to the meal is complimentary. Save room for dessert, because the Chocolate Mousse is too die for.   The portions are large, so I usually have leftovers to take home. We also love their 3-course early bird special, which is offered until 5:30 pm and includes soup or salad, an entree and dessert.

Our drinks (pear-licious martini and appletini) were good but filled so full that there was spillage on the bottom of the glass when they were served. I had the goat cheese poppers which were delicious, as was the apple salad that accompanied them. I also had a side - apples Brussels sprouts, butternut squash & celery root - a fabulous combination that I thoroughly enjoyed. The others in my party had a burger (too well done but ok) and rare seared tuna (yummy) with the same veggie side. For dessert, we tried 3: warm chocolate chip cookies (very good), baklava (ok), and espresso creme brûlée (good). We had espresso and coffee as well - which were both accompanied by biscotti which went home for a morning snack. Our reservation was 7p on a Thursday near Christmas. The place was packed with lots of larger parties and what appeared to be a holiday party. So it was LOUD and hard to hear each other speak. As the crowd thinned out, it got much better.

The omelette was a bit dry, and it wasn't really my favorite. The sausage was nice and snappy though. One of my friends got the eggs Benedict which she thought was alright. Desserts were shared around the table: carrot cake, cannolis and blueberry pie. The taste was a bit artificial and each dessert was very dry. Despite having a large party, the dessert was not finished. I like how there's plenty of parking in the back. I believe this diner has been open for quite some time. I'm not sure if it's bc when we came here it was a holiday weekend and it was super busy, but everything to me just was a bit subpar.

The food here is insanely fresh as was our daily interpretation involving copious use of root vegetables. In a Woodstock mood, I went for a mushroom motif inclusive of a mushroom onion soup and mushroom infused homemade cavatelli. You won't get points for atmosphere as the location is main street central and directly across from an Irish pub that is still serving the same slab of corned beef that they first boiled in 1991. If you're a foodie or even a fraudie, 12 Farms offers infinite pleasures and is richly deserving of a resounding five stars. Speaking of rich bring lots of cash as plastic is not accepted.

The soup sampling consisted of three very tiny cups that were sort of like an espresso size cup. The salad was a very small portion. They said that the portion sizes were not smaller because of the $65 price fix option. If you ordered the salads à la carte they arranged from $19-$22 I believe. Had I did the à la cart and received that portion for that much money I would be disappointed to say the least; my wife and I often share a salad before entrées and generally speaking they are big enough to share but their portion wasn't enough for me alone. Presentation was beautiful and service was great, as well as the ambience, and we have been there several times. We are raying a 3 because of the positives, but I did consider making it a 2. I hope the restaurant takes note and addresses the piints I made. Note that the entrée portions were good.

Absolutely incredible wings here, they're the 1%er of wings. It's not a debate. I see a few complaining about small wings lol. 1. If you're just hungry for chicken go do that, small wings are a way to maximize flavor and that's what Anthony's accomplishes in these perfectly cooked, crisp, flavor packed hot and extra hot (my personal reco but not for faint of heart) wing 2. They have jumbo wings for you non wing knowing hungry eaters that don't get it, so order that before complaining, you're just getting an inferior wing but can enjoy their incredible sauces that way Sorry, I'm a wing snob and I'm riled up at poor reviews from non wing knowers, who are the reason why we as a country are losing ground on good Buffalo wings. They're going extinct because of viewpoints like some of what I see on here. Go to KFC if you're gonna hate, don't bring a good business down (also please note I'm being jestful in tone if you can't parse through, but I'm also serious). Second - really great other options including Buffalo tenders, cheesesteaks are great, some fish options (Buffalo shrimp of course!). But again, for true wing enthusiasts, this is my WING OF THE YEAR for 2023 and beyond. Also very friendly customer service there, clearly good people. Comfortable vibe inside, kind of diner type feel, the right feel for a true wing spot. Clean bathrooms. I ate these wings 4 hours ago and now writing about it and all I want to do is drive the 50 minutes back to get more. *****

There is all your usual stuff that you'd expect to find at any diner. From your sandwiches, omelettes, crepes, typical deserts such as cake and pie, to just about anything else you'd expect to find on a menu for a diner. The service was overall fine but nothing super special but it still is a decent diner to go to for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is better to go around dinner time because then they give you complimentary garlic knots which are delicious. And the televisions they have around the diner are also nice to watch too so you don't feel bored. The only major criticisms I have is that there are times when there are tables that are still very dirty rather its from dirty dishes or too much dust lying around the diner. Another criticism is that the deserts maybe dry from sitting in the fridge too long which is disappointing because they look delicious. The final criticism is that it can be noisy too inside when its always busy. But that is expected as that happens anywhere. In the end, its a solid diner to go to. But it's not the best diner out there as there are plenty other better options for food and to hang out.

The service is overall good and ambiance is fine as it's in a quiet and safe suburban neighborhood. There is plenty of seating and the prices overall aren't bad at all. When it comes to complaints though they're really only minor complaints. The mashed potatoes and gravy could be a bit better as they're mixed together automatically rather than being separated. The main issue isn't them being together but more just the flavor as they're kind of bland and so is the gravy. The coleslaw is average but needs more flavor too. Finally, the rolls are below average as they aren't freshly baked. They're more like a discount version of Hawaiian sweet rolls. Even warmed up or toasted, they have a slightly weird after taste and aren't as good as freshly baked biscuits. In the end, I would still go to Chicken Holiday for a quick bite or a decent catering meal. They give good portions and have a good selection of food to choose from. Check them out whenever you're in or near East Windsor.
