I had a great time at this restaurant. It started to rain and there was no problem moving my group inside! Plus our serve was incredibly attentive. I got the French Dip and the baked chips that came with were sooo good!

The Roost offers fairly standard fare in a bar restaurant type atmosphere. We met friends here for dinner on Friday night, since there was a band playing that we were interested in seeing. Beware, that when there is a band, it is very loud throughout the entire restaurant. There is outdoor seating though. We ordered a pizza and Chicken Francese. Both were acceptable. The pizza was a bit burned around the edges, but I wasn't expecting much. Our server, however, was the star. She was super personable, efficient and constantly had a smile on her face. Something you don't always see with wait staff. As a side note, I had made a reservation, which they could not find. It didn't impact us, because we still received the booth furthest away from the band, as I had requested.

Love this place!!! The steak bites, pretzels and spinach/artichoke dip are my favorite appetizers. Awesome happy hour deals and game day specials. Great selection of weekly food specials and items on their standard menu. From tacos to burgers, wraps, soups and salads; it's all really tasty! Live music on the weekends although I've never been for this; we usually go for lunch or Sunday funday! Friendly, attentive staff, great food and service plus a very chill atmosphere. What more can you ask for?!!! And the decorations are THE BEST!!! Mary, one of their staff and bartenders is so creative and keeps the place decorated to the nines!!! If you haven't, you must try!!!

amazing food! the menu is consistently changing with new, different and interesting dishes! each time i have gone here, i have not been let down. everything i have ordered has been a 10/10. portions are large and are amazing in quality. the ambiance of the outside patio makes for a great lunch or early dinner! frequently playing live music at night, i look forward to every meal here.

The Roost was recommended to us by some good friends and we decided to make the 25 minute drive to meet them there for dinner on a weeknight. The restaurant is located on a golf course and is open to the public. They have a fairly large indoor space with a bar and also an outdoor patio situated right on the edge of the green. We chose to eat out on the patio although it was a bit chilly. They did have outdoor heaters which made it comfortable enough for us to enjoy the pleasant setting while dining. The menu has a lot of great variety of options for just about every taste including salads, appetizers, entrees and sandwiches. I was also impressed with the decent selection of local NJ and PA craft beers on draft and a pretty adequate selection of wines and specialty cocktails. They also boasted daily special themed weekly specials such as $5 margaritas on Tuesdays and half price wine bottles and specialty pizzas on Wednesday as well as live music on the weekends. First we started by ordering a few appetizers. We selected Cajun steak bites, bang-bang shrimp, spinach and artichoke dip, and Thai chili wings. I would probably skip the shrimp as they were just crispy breaded shrimp and not the traditional bang-bang sauce we were expecting. The others apps were all equally delicious. As we happened to be there on Wednesday so decided to order a pizza. They had some odd choices such as mac and cheese pizza, cheeseburger pizza, and others. We chose the vodka rigatoni pizza. We also ordered a flounder sandwich and our friends ordered the fish tacos which they thoroughly enjoyed as well as open faced turkey reuben but requested it made closed which they accommodated. The flounder sandwich was delicious but the PIZZA stole the show. The pizza was much bigger than I expected and could easily feed 3-4 people. It was cooked to perfection with a NY style crispy thin crust, perfect amount of delectable sauce, and delicious toppings. We even brought half the pie home and it was just as good reheated the next day. All I can say is that the Roost was a pleasant surprise and a hidden gem especially if you love great pizza, appetizers, and craft beer. I can't wait to come back and try some more menu items.

The food here is insanely fresh as was our daily interpretation involving copious use of root vegetables. In a Woodstock mood, I went for a mushroom motif inclusive of a mushroom onion soup and mushroom infused homemade cavatelli. You won't get points for atmosphere as the location is main street central and directly across from an Irish pub that is still serving the same slab of corned beef that they first boiled in 1991. If you're a foodie or even a fraudie, 12 Farms offers infinite pleasures and is richly deserving of a resounding five stars. Speaking of rich bring lots of cash as plastic is not accepted.

The soup sampling consisted of three very tiny cups that were sort of like an espresso size cup. The salad was a very small portion. They said that the portion sizes were not smaller because of the $65 price fix option. If you ordered the salads à la carte they arranged from $19-$22 I believe. Had I did the à la cart and received that portion for that much money I would be disappointed to say the least; my wife and I often share a salad before entrées and generally speaking they are big enough to share but their portion wasn't enough for me alone. Presentation was beautiful and service was great, as well as the ambience, and we have been there several times. We are raying a 3 because of the positives, but I did consider making it a 2. I hope the restaurant takes note and addresses the piints I made. Note that the entrée portions were good.

My family and I were visiting the nearby farm for our Christmas tree and we were all pretty hungry and there was no food to be had and then I found Woody's. What an amazing find this place is! I only wish that they were closer to me so I could come here a few times a week ! The coffee is really good, the breakfast I had was fantastic, a western omelette with the most amazing home fries I have ever had, and I do not say that like lightly at all, these were wedges that were well seasoned, and then cut in such a way that they had Spaces that flavoring and texture would creep into making each bite slightly crispy and dense, but flavorful and overall pretty light in the mouth, considering that their potato wedges I could not get enough of these and I'm a diabetic. I really chose my carbs well at this meal they were totally worth it. I am absolutely coming back. This place is fantastic and my waitress gosh I wish I remembered her name. She was wonderful. Our drinks (pear-licious martini and appletini) were good but filled so full that there was spillage on the bottom of the glass when they were served. I had the goat cheese poppers which were delicious, as was the apple salad that accompanied them. I also had a side - apples Brussels sprouts, butternut squash & celery root - a fabulous combination that I thoroughly enjoyed. The others in my party had a burger (too well done but ok) and rare seared tuna (yummy) with the same veggie side. For dessert, we tried 3: warm chocolate chip cookies (very good), baklava (ok), and espresso creme brûlée (good). We had espresso and coffee as well - which were both accompanied by biscotti which went home for a morning snack. Our reservation was 7p on a Thursday near Christmas. The place was packed with lots of larger parties and what appeared to be a holiday party. So it was LOUD and hard to hear each other speak. As the crowd thinned out, it got much better.

Despite having a large party, the dessert was not finished. I like how there's plenty of parking in the back. I believe this diner has been open for quite some time. We started off with appetizers- which are really great for sharing- perogies for the Hubby and I had the liver dumpling soup- both were fantastic. Hubby had the German mixed salad with his meal, the special was sausage with both chicken and pork Schnitzel and potatoes, I had the sauerbraten with potatoes and we both had a side of the sauerkraut. We took a To-Go of the stuffed chicken breast with mozzarella and spinach and soup, with broccoli and an order of perogies. 2 Root beers, and he had the apple strudel and I ordered the Bienenstich. Our server was Karen- I want to give a huge thank you to her, she was an absolute delight, sweet, friendly and made sure our dinner was perfect, she is wonderful and next time we come for dinner, we hope she is our waitress. Food was incredible, I have not had "family" style German food in probably 13 years if not longer- I used to eat all the time at Alpine Village in Torrance Ca and at Phoenix Club in Brea Ca- both I was a long time foodie at, and never had a bad meal! It is so great to know that Sebastian's is our new place for delicious German food. Dinner for the 3 was roughly $180.00, but before you say "that's a lot", the food is delicious, the wait staff is amazing and both my husband and I gladly pay good money for fantastic food, like what we had here at Sebastian's.

CASH ONLY CASH ONLY…read moreCASH ONLY CASH ONLY Did I mention CASH ONLY So we are thinking about getting Christmas Eve dinner catered from here, so we tried it out yesterday. There was a decent amount of confusion and dialect disconnect, but I believe they have most of their regular menu available. We also ordered a bunch of different items to taste test and we were extremely happy! Let me get into my issue... At no point until I walked into the restaurant, did they mention cash only, oh and check! They take checks! But they never list if on ther website, or any social media sites. They do not mention it over the phone either... so I walk in expecting to pay with card and wham. CASH ONLY... They do have an ATM on site, but to use it, you need an ATM card or a pin on your CC, which I did not have. My FiL had to meet me half way back with cash so I could pay. I really wish they post it online or somewhere people can see before walking in.... I had half a mind to cancel lol! Well that's my gripe! Ordering food, there was a slight language barrier as well. But all in all, it went OK. The lot needs better lighting and or a sign that points to the main entrance. We walked the wrong way and ended up at tables and chairs in storage.... It is very very very homey inside. Very homey. It feels like Oma's living room. With Hummel and biersteins everywhere, and it mean everywhere! Do not bring young kids here lol! It does look nice though! Must but nightmare to dust... Service is unique, the owner was trying to make small talk, and this is after my cash issue, I was kind of zoned out... also had 2 kids that were surprisingly behaving! I got super lucky with that lol! I was able to pay cash and he threw in a few items for free, he gave me a potato soup and a Rahm sauce. Brought the food home and feasted! I got the triple schnitzel combo with Veal, pork, chicken. All were delicious, I like the brown gravy (which had a nice tang) as well as the Rahm sauce with it. By itself it was good, I think they do it more Italian style with only breadcrumbs and no flour, but it was still good. The Veal was the best, but small! The other 2 were very good! I subbed mash for home fries which had sautéed onions and were a great touch, but it needed salt. The sauce helped! I also got a side or spaetzle, which were good but needed sauce and or salt, and did not have much seasoning. But that is German food... I'm not saying its bland, but its sauce heavy! Perogies were absolutely killer! I want a tray lol! Great filling, super soft, great taste! Wife and FiL had the chicken cordon blue, and they were huge!!! They were delicious, but even better with the Rahm sauce. I need a gallon of it lol! Wife liked the Red cabbage, I enjoyed it as well, great flavor. I personally like it sweeter. FiL had the mash and like it. I also got Linzer Tarts which disappeared very quickly lol! Everyone enjoyed them! All in all a great meal, I wish they'd let you know cash only... we look forward to getting catering on Christmas Eve!

She brought the drinks out quickly but it did take about 20 more minutes for her to come back and take our food order. We waited about another 20 minutes for the appetizers to come out. When they did, they were cold. The buffalo wings were literally cold to the touch. The flavor was good, but the sauce on top was no longer moist, it was dry as if the wings had been sitting out for a while. The mozzarella sticks had good flavor, but again, they were cold. We waited another 20 minutes for our entrees to come out. I ordered the Plumsted burger with sweet potato fries. The only thing that was hot was the burger itself. The bread was also cold to the touch, and the fries had completely cooled down as well. The description of the burger stated "fried onions". I thought this meant it would include something similar to an onion ring. Instead, the burger had sautéed onions on it, which I do not like, at all. We also ordered the chicken parm sandwich. The sauce tasted straight out of a can. The temperature was warm, not hot. It was closer to being cool. Fries that it came with were mediocre. Overall, the common issue was the temperature of the food. Nothing was hot. I don't know if it's because it was sitting out in the back for too long. Our waitress never came over to check on us/ask if we needed anything. We waited too long for each dish and even trying to pay took forever. I think everyone was very overwhelmed. This place might be better on a weekday when it isn't as busy. But as for my experience on this particular day, I wouldn't return. They had the bartenders serving the high top tables as well and I think this was the downfall. The bar was completely packed and it was just too much to handle. They need to let the bartenders focus on the people at the bar and get more servers for the floor. Also overheard one waitress saying "these customers think they could do whatever the f*** they want". Very unprofessional. Would not recommend this place.
