KFC via DoorDash Delivery Review For most of my life, I've loved KFC. So there, I admitted it. But I also remember when the butter was butter and the honey was honey. I'm not entirely sure what they are now. KFC has always made a big deal out of their secret 11 herbs and spices. Unfortunately, they seem to have stopped using them. I still order from KFC often via DoorDash, usually when they run a good deal. And they do have good deals. The latest, on 11/26/2025, was a 2 for 1 on a 2-piece meal. Considering today's delivery costs, that was a lot of food for $19.41 (inc DashPass discount, service fee and driver tip). So they have that going for them. But back to the seasonings. I meant it. They really seem to have stopped using them because the chicken is now just bland with almost no flavor. And yes, it is still greasy, but that was always part of the charm. They've recently brought back the wedge fries, and I prefer these to the regular fries they promoted over the last few years. And then there is the ever-shrinking biscuit. For the last 10 years, maybe longer, the biscuits have just mysteriously gotten smaller and smaller and smaller. Someday they will become a black hole and lead to the disintegration of planet Earth. Most of this review has focused on KFC in general. This particular store consistently delivers on the above. The food is generally warm to hot when it arrives. It is well packaged. They always include a plethora of the fake butter and fake honey and plenty of napkins. I haven't noticed any sporks recently though. I do not know if these have disappeared from the KFC experience. Each time I've ordered from here, at least 10 times, the DoorDash delivery has been quick. This is KFC as KFC is today. In my opinion, it has simply reduced in flavor, quality, and portion size from yesteryear. This particular KFC delivers this exact experience. But in the parts they control (packaging, speed, consistency) they actually do a pretty good job. All I can say is omg...I ordered a 4 piece chicken strip meal for $11,99 and what I got were mummy strips . They were left cooking in the fryer so long they were burnt. My biscuit was a large crouton. It crumbled into dust upon biting into it. If it hadn't been for the root beer I would have left without anything. I went through the drive through last night. When I placed my order, I was told they were out of chicken, but still had tenders, so I ordered the tenders meal, only to be informed they were out of corn, cole slaw and all other vegetables, and only had mashed potatoes. It was obvious I was disgusted when I told them to forget it, and I wouldn't be ordering anything. There were people in line behind me, so I had to continue through the drive through. The workers made the person in front of me wait 15 minutes at the window, then told them they couldn't fill their order. When I drove past the window there were three scruffy teenage boys glaring at me and making rude comments. Great job Bend, Oregon KFC. Of the three experiences I've had there, none have failed to disappoint or frustrate. I will never go there again. My recommendation to anyone wanting KFC meals: Go to the Redmond store. read more

OK I feel completely weird actually writing a review for Kentucky fried chicken but here goes. When I was growing up as a child Kentucky fried chicken was my dad's favorite fast food so I kind of grew up eating it. I realize it's A fast food establishment and can't expect much but this place is horrible and it's gotten crazy expensive. I was driving by the other night and for old times sake decided to swing in there and have some chicken. The place was completely empty with about five very young employees standing around talking while one girl was sweeping the floor in the dining area. I ordered a three piece chicken meal. It didn't come with coleslaw so I ordered a small coleslaw. A three piece meal with a side of coleslaw cost $18! Crazy. I took the employees three tries to get my order right. They literally had to put three pieces of chicken one biscuit and a small side of potato in a box and it took them three tries to get it right which I am completely confused by. The girl that was out in the dining area sweeping, even though the entire dining room was literally empty except for myself sitting at the table, seemed to be compelled to sweep within 2 feet of me and under my table while I was trying to eat. I actually had to ask her if she wouldn't mind going somewhere else until I finished my meal. The chicken is greasy salty and just kinda gross and old tasting. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong but I feel like it used to be way better. The chicken felt like it had been sitting there all afternoon (and was somehow dry yet still greasy) which wouldn't surprise me since the place was completely empty at 6 o'clock in the afternoon. Oh, and the small side of mashed potatoes don't come with a Cpl tablespoons of gravy. You have to buy an entire side of gravy to go with about 1/3 cup of potatoes, which I think remember being almost 4.00 !! COME ON! REALLY?? Sadly the childhood memories of my family I eating in Kentucky fried chicken are probably a thing of the past. Hopefully they'll bring a Popeyes to Central Oregon soon. read more

While visiting my niece in Bend, I was lucky enough to discover they have a KFC in town. So I dropped in and picked up a big bucket of their extra crispy fried chicken and two large containers of cole slaw, an order of mashed potato, some gravy, and of course those wonderful biscuits. Was so fun eating my fav food with my niece and her wonderful family.. This store was actually one of the cleanest I have ever been in. And the staff members were all so friendly. They close at 8:00. Drive through only. Signage is poor, doors are locked. I recognize that's it's to go orders only, but customers can't walk inside to place their orders. Potato wedges were superior to their current fries. "Nashville hot" chicken seems like a misrepresentation. Barely competitive with local drive through fast food eateries. read more

Ordered three meals and waited for 20 minutes at the window while the workers stood around talking to each other. Had to remind the cashier about my drinks two times and ask for sauces three times. Once getting our food and pulling out of the drive thru, we opened the meals to check everything, we had no sides with our meals, chicken only. Called and told them what happened and said I would park in front if they can bring my sides, they said they would. 30 minutes later---still no sides and the phone is now off the hook, lobby is closed and the line is 10 cars long. Worst customer service. I always have issues here..always have to remind them about sauces and drinks, but this is even worse. Update: went up to the lobby window to get someones attention, the two 16 year olds inside proceeded to laugh and tell me to go through the line. The line was not moving at all, it was at least 10 cars long. When I asked for them to open the door so I could explain what happened, they started laughing. eventually one of them came to the door. I explained that I had been waiting out there for 30 mins for my food because I was told someone would come out. The young man told me no one talked to me on the phone. I confirmed the number and when I saw I wasn't getting anywhere just asked that he bring the food out to my car so I could go home, he responded by telling me, "it doesn't work like that" and when I said I can show him the food boxes with no sides he ignored me, I said I have my receipt and he said, "you could have picked that up off the ground for all we know". At this point it was no longer worth it. I paid for my food, but I am not arguing with a child about customer service. It was so degrading to be treated this way when I just wanted to bring food home to my husband who just worked a 14 hour day. I will never go to this KFC again. read more

What's with the incredibly low staffing at this location? It's the only location in town, so it's popular. But the line moves so slow! The chicken, biscuits and the cole slaw are about the only items that are any good. The potatoes are like the box flakes. The gravy is ok. Would be better if they offered baked potatoes like Wendy's. The mac n cheese is average at best. The corn is usually overcooked. But the most disappointment I had was in the honey bbq wings. They basically take the normal breaded wings and add a mediocre amount of sauce to it, not even enough to cover all six wings. Being honey bbq, I thought it would be more on the sweet side, but no, it was more spicy and didn't taste very good. I ended up throwing most of them away. Dominoes makes killer bbq wings. Last night we ordered 10 PC Family Feast for pick-up. The menu states that this includes: 10 pieces of our freshly prepared World Famous Chicken, 2 large mashed potatoes, a gravy, large coleslaw, 4 biscuits, 4 chocolate chip cookies and a beverage bucket. After sitting for over 30 minutes in the drive-thru to pick-up our order, we were informed that there are no longer "10 pc" meals, that they had to give us "8 pc". Between the wait and info, we were aggravated and didn't immediately check the contents of the oversized bag. Once home we realized all the oversize bag contained was 8 PC of Chicken (that PS was cold and soggy by the time we got it) 4 Biscuits and 2 Drinks. We called the restaurant several times to get this resolved, because we understand mistakes do happen, but there was NO answer. Our order # was 1525882 KFC. read more

Interesting to this former Kentuckian, (and to my spouse from the deep south), how in our childhood KFC was the reigning king, (not just because it was the only game in town - lots of folks took the time to fry chicken back then at home and in commercial establishments), but because it was the best - and the price was fair. For the last several times I've gone to KFC looking for a FC fix, I've come away with unimpressively small chicken pieces, tired food and a far lighter wallet than I would expect for a chicken dinner, (typical spend is $50 bucks for a family of four)! For that price I'd expect a nice sit down environment with table service where someone else does the dishes - not a drive through FF restaurant. Horrendous to spend so much and not to be impressed with something so cheap to buy and easy to mass produce as fried chicken. Next time it'll be Safeway chicken, where last time I got 12 pcs (chicken only mind you) with two extra pc thrown in ("...cause their small, honey!"), for LESS than $10 bucks, AND I got to pick the pieces (i.e: no wings). A bit more expensive but much better is the Crispy Crunchy at the GAS STATION on N 97 near BK. Then there is Cascade West, (that's right). Yumm! Service is just ok cause they serve beer primarily, but if you smile and tip heavily they will reluctantly acknowledge you and your take out order, if they have time. Finally the broasted chicken in La Pine at Wickiup Station is pretty hard to beat. Later KFC. Sad to say but you're not the cock of the walk anymore. Get it together and quit living off your reputation, or die and come back as something of value and quality. KFC. More like killing freaking children. KFC used to be good. Now, i go there, and the employee asks, "do you want some chicken with your oil?" This is not what actually happens. I just don't want to use five containers of dish soap just to get the grease off of my fingers. Just looking at your restaurant gives me diabetes. The chicken is not dry. It cannot be dry. Not with the amount of oil shoved in the chicken. There is so much oil in KFC's chicken that even America would be jealous. The biscuits are yummy. That's about it. Eating the mashed potatoes feels like spooning up mouthfuls of the beach. They're grainy, soupy, and the amount of gravy you guys put on those things could kill God. The mashed potatoes feel like sandpaper. The broccoli is harder than the crust of the earth. The corn is colder than my heart, and literally comes in the form of soup. Please drain the corn. I don't like eating water. If I wanted soup, I would ask for it. I did not ask for soup. It was just assumed. The mac and cheese is pretty decent, but it tastes faker than Kim Kardashian. How do you even overcook mac and cheese. Its sogginess even rivals the corn. Also, the employees. Your employees are all depressed. Seriously, just go back to the old KFC. They steal your money!!!! Your order is absolutely NEVER right! Every single time I go here, something is missing from my order. It is absolutely on purpose that they short your order. We've complained to management, written letters, and notified corporate that this location does this all the time. Do not go here. I promise you; you will not notice until you get home, that your drive-thru order was wrong. If you dine in, it will be a hassle to keep getting up to go get what's missing. Additionally, I think they use quail because the chicken couldn't be any smaller! And the mac and cheese is either runny or stale. Lived here 39 years and this place is an absolute MISS every time! Entered the drive thru (no inside seating) at 4:27pm to order a simple chicken sandwich and nothing else. There was a large passenger van in front of me placing an order. After 15 minutes I could hear them changing the order and adding more items (ended up a $90 order. All this time the sun is blaring in thru my window. There is no bypass lane to drive around and couldn't back up due to 3 cars behind me. I asked the shouted at the speaker box if they could hurry things along and that I have been waiting for 20 minutes to place a simple order. The sound kid said he would take my order in just a minute. 5 minutes later the van pulled forward and the voice on the box said it would be just a minute. 10 minutes later the van is still at the window where they are handing his items one every 30-40 seconds including sauces. Once again I spoke up and asked if I could place my order and this time an older woman came onto the speaker and told me to wait my turn6-7 minutes later she said she could take my order now and I asked for the chicken sandwich to which she replied they were all out of buns and the chicken to make it. So far I had been sitting in the sun for about 40 minutes. When the van finally pulled away I asked the young man at the window that I. would like the managers name and phone number to call to which he replied "that's not our policy and I can't give you that info". I spoke some choice words to him and drove off. Nothing to eat and sat in the sun for 50+ minutes. The only reason I gave them a 1 star is that I couldn't them them a negative number. read more

I called and spoke with the manager (who happened to be the one who answered the phone) He apologized and said to come back. Super super fast. So bizarre! Had food within 30 seconds, no joke. And how can you hate KFC's famous bowl... it's amazing.

I'm a delivery driver and this place is horrible! I Just left the restaurant and the entire dining room is full of people waiting to get their order (no social distancing at all as the room is FULL) One guy waited for a famous bowl and two pot pies for over a half hour and then was told that it would be another 12 (or more) minute wait on TWO POT PIES. the staff is absolutely oblivious to customer service in any way and have no idea how to handle more than three customers. They're out of a lot of food items every time I come to this location including the actual bags for their food! The staff doesn't pay any attention to the deliveries and they confirm the order being ready before it actually is every single time. Don't waste your time here as it will most likely take up most of your night waiting for your order and the service you get from the people behind the counter is definitely enough to make me want to avoid this place as much as possible read more
