The best top 10? The top 100? Well, maybe the last, definitely not the first two. But they're decent enough, and when they arrive, they're still hot. Same goes for the fries. The Texas Toast has some strange magic to it. Over the years it's gotten smaller, and the flavor seems to have shrunk right along with it. Still, I enjoy it. And credit where due: they always provide enough sauce to make it through the chicken strips. The food is well packaged. The DoorDash delivery is always fast. It fills me up. And, as I said, it arrives hot. So, hmmmm, how about those four stars? Two words: Dilly Bar. The Dilly Bar brings back so much of the childhood joy of a DQ hand-dipped cone. The first person I met who was cleaning was pleasant an kind when I was getting an order made from a different person she spoke arrogantly an down to me . She was rude an disrespectful. She made me fix my grammar and was very rude. Now I love dairy queen so does my whole family but when I asked the person her name she snidely said I ain't got to provide that to the likes of you. No name tag. She continued disrespect an I asked for her manager. She said good luck my manager ain't here. She than continued being condescending an glaring. She asked is there anything else u want. I decided actually no we no longer want food from here. We have never been treated so hostile and we will not be returning until changes are made. I asked her managers name she refused to give it. I think this location is trying very hard to go out of business. On several occasions in the last 6 months, we have shown up during late afternoon only to find the location closed. Yesterday proved to me how much they don't want to have customers by closing the drive thru and putting a sign on the locked door that they were closing at 4:20? Owner sanctioned team building? I understand that finding enough employees in this time can be tough and accidents happen. The line was pretty slow but the low amount of employees can explain that. However I specifically asked if an item I ordered was in the bag I was given and was told it was. But when I got home it seems that I was lied to. Terrible customer service at drive thru. We laughed at how awful the attendant was. "What do you want?" was how we were greeted. All she kept say was, "What else." She sounded disgusted with us as we ordered two drinks and a fry. When we got to the window, the young boy opens the window and says the price. Nothing else. Then hands back our card. When he delivers the food, saying absolutely nothing. A woman in the background is joking and laughing with someone. That was our transaction. Sat in the drive through for 25 mins, finally got to the window and they told me it would be a min and I would get to order. I listened to every conversation of the person taking orders of everyone inside the store while I got drenched with my window down waiting for my order to be taken. I heard her say "people are getting mad and backing up" as people behind me were leaving. She then told me she was going to shut down the drive through and told me she wasn't going to take my order! I had to plead with her to take my order as I saw many people who were behind me going inside to get their food. I have eaten here several times but never ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. Well I ordered one at the Redmond Dairy Queen the other day and it was fantastic!!! The same can't be said about Bend! It was like eating cardboard. There was absolutely no flavor. The chicken was dry. The heaped iceberg lettuce on it like I was looking for a lettuce sandwich. It was gross. I am already not a fan of lettuce on a hot sandwich and the lettuce was ten times thicker than the meat. The only saving grace was the fries and fry sauce. They were as good as Redmond. It's the only reason they get two stars. I would give them three but they serve gross Pepsi and not coke like Redmond. Why are Dairy Queen's so different? The best management decision for this location would be to shut it down until they could get a manager that could keep the dining room open. It's got to cost more to be open that what they are making serving one order at a time at the slowest drive up window in the country. Of all of the Bend DQs, this one is my favorite and really the only one I'll go to. It's reasonably clean, relatively quiet, and the employees are generally helpful and friendly. I've had an issue or two with an ordered filled incorrectly and with a menu discrepancy, and each time, the management has been responsive and friendly. They've even indulged in some off menu (reasonable) requests. (It pays to have had siblings who were previous DQ employees.) Bathrooms are hit and miss. There have been times where I would have rather cleaned fish guts than endure the smell coming out of the urinals, but today, my umpteenth visit of all days, they were clean and pleasant smelling. Like fry sauce? Other area DQs offer it, but only this location's tastes any good. It has a nice smooth, somewhat bold flavor. (I think they may add pickle juice to the mayo and ketchup.) Try it. I wish I could give -0 stars. Tonight my Dairy Queen experience was so awful. It's not like I make a killing at my minimum wage job and to spend 17 bucks to treat 2 others and I to a cheap dinner left me going to bed hungry. I guess im butthurt and very disappointed but I couldn't even eat my cheeseburger. My husband whose a garbage disposal couldn't even eat it. My advice, don't feed me a burger that tasted like it sat for over an hour before it was sold, cold meat, stale bun, WAY TOO MUCH MAYO AND KETCHUP and I swear I seen white mold on my bun. It wasn't just me, both my mother and I had flat nasty burgers. Never again Dairy Queen.....NEVER AGAIN! Customer service is terrible. Went to the south location. Went inside because the drive thru line was super long. Waited 10 minutes in line behind one other person. Not a single staff member acknowledged us. Staff members were walking by the front counter laughing and talking to each other. Not a single employee looked at us or said, "sorry for the wait", "or "someone will be with you soon". A lady that somehow was able to order said she was waiting 20 minutes already for her food. Left and drove to the north location and got in the drive thru line. One car was at the speaker ordering. I was the next car. As I drove up to the speaker employees shut off the lights to the drive through. I asked if they were still open or if they literally shut down the drive thru as I pulled up to order. No answer over the speaker. I pulled up and asked the person at the window if they really just shut down the drive thru with two cars in line. The person replied, "what?" I've had long waits at both locations before but I go back for my kid who loves Blizzards. Never again. I'll go anywhere else in town before DQ. It's not a " short staffed" issue. The only word that can come out of my mouth are disgusted. Watched the register worker take our order and handle cash with no gloves. Then we proceed to wait for our cones. Just simple small dipped cones. They get sat down behind the counter and are melting and looked very lop sided. When you're craving a blizzard and drive halfway across town because they are supposed to be open... and you pull into the drive and they tell you "I'm sorry but we are closed for the night"... WTF?! Blizzards are my go-to treats, but the treatment we received by one of the staff members today will keep us from going to this shop anymore, which is super unfortunate because it is so close to us! We had a reward for a free any size blizzard and asked to use it on the larger blizzard, and the gal taking our payment rolled her eyes and said it would go towards the smaller one. I asked if we could do two different transactions since there was no line and it wasn't busy, and again we were met with attitude.
