Dairy Queen - Bend, Oregon (DoorDash Delivery) So, exactly how does a Dairy Queen get four stars? I guess that's what this review is all about. Are their chicken strips the best in Bend? The best top 10? The top 100? Well, maybe the last, definitely not the first two. But they're decent enough, and when they arrive, they're still hot. Same goes for the fries. The Texas Toast has some strange magic to it. Over the years it's gotten smaller, and the flavor seems to have shrunk right along with it. Still, I enjoy it. And credit where due: they always provide enough sauce to make it through the chicken strips. The food is well packaged. The DoorDash delivery is always fast. It fills me up. And, as I said, it arrives hot. So, hmmmm, how about those four stars? Two words: Dilly Bar. The Dilly Bar brings back so much of the childhood joy of a DQ hand-dipped cone. It was one of my absolute favorite treats growing up. Maybe my four stars for DQ are a little dubious. But how many stars does recreating a moment of childhood happiness deserve? read more

Excellent service! Very respectful and I got my order fast. I also enjoyed my snicker blizzard read more

I came in with my neurodivergent son ready to enjoy some dairy queen. The first person I met who was cleaning was pleasant an kind when I was getting an order made from a different person she spoke arrogantly an down to me . She was rude an disrespectful. She made me fix my grammar and was very rude. Now I love dairy queen so does my whole family but when I asked the person her name she snidely said I ain't got to provide that to the likes of you. No name tag. She continued disrespect an I asked for her manager. She said good luck my manager ain't here. She than continued being condescending an glaring. She asked is there anything else u want. I decided actually no we no longer want food from here. We have never been treated so hostile and we will not be returning until changes are made. I asked her managers name she refused to give it. We left and went to dairy queen on the north side where we were treated with incredible service, hospitality an delicious fresh food. read more

Service was awful, women answering phone while taking orders, gloves and sanitary items not used. Place a mobile order just for them to tell me they wouldn't give it to me or refund me, and than refused to get manager. Floors were dirty and so we're tables, nothing good about this dq. read more

Worst experience with customer service and the App. An order was placed but the app changed the time. I tried to move the order up and they refused to make it "because it wasn't on their screen." They refused to give a refund or let anyone talk to management. Cashier also took a phone call while taking orders despite a long line. Do better Bend DQ!! read more

First off there nothing like pulling up to the window and seeing two teenage kids fondling each other then messed up my order after I already paid then wanted me to pay for what I already ordered they missed. Then after waiting for 10 min with my burgers and chicken was super cold like it was just taken out of the fridge. This is trash. Very unprofessional and just an embarrassment to the DQ franchise. read more

If I could zero stars I would. Stopped going here years ago because I felt it was dirty returned today and it is DISGUSTING. FOOD AND TRASH ALL OVER THE FLOORS. Where they were repairing the food was dirty dirty. We Watched how they never wiped down or cleaned anything in between. The machines were covered in food and ice cream debris. We ordered at 801pm and got two mini blizzards at 8:25 after we asked for our money back. Gentleman in front ordered a sundae at 741. Received it at 824pm. UNACCEPTABLE! read more

Stood at the counter for 20 minutes and was ignored I even made eye contact with multiple of the workers and they continued to ignore me and never took my order read more

I think this location is trying very hard to go out of business. On several occasions in the last 6 months, we have shown up during late afternoon only to find the location closed. Yesterday proved to me how much they don't want to have customers by closing the drive thru and putting a sign on the locked door that they were closing at 4:20? Owner sanctioned team building? Ice cream and a little vaping? Who knows. But also lame and sort of funny. read more

I understand that finding enough employees in this time can be tough and accidents happen. The line was pretty slow but the low amount of employees can explain that. However I specifically asked if an item I ordered was in the bag I was given and was told it was. But when I got home it seems that I was lied to. The item that I PAID FOR was not in there and I found no use in going back because with the line being so slow why bother. read more

This place should just close down...it's either closed...no one is working...wait in drive thru for nothing. Just call it. We gave this place try after try...not worth it. read more

Terrible customer service at drive thru. We laughed at how awful the attendant was. "What do you want?" was how we were greeted. All she kept say was, "What else." She sounded disgusted with us as we ordered two drinks and a fry. When we got to the window, the young boy opens the window and says the price. Nothing else. Then hands back our card. When he delivers the food, saying absolutely nothing. A woman in the background is joking and laughing with someone. That was our transaction. After years of not patronizing this business we had decided to give it another go but I can honestly tell you, this business should not be functioning based on the staff and quality of product. Zero stars would be appropriate. read more

Still pretty run down, but it seems like the management is getting better. Food is of decent enough quality.

I own a business a tossed the street... this place makes you never want to come back. Terrible customer service!! The manager came up to tell me she would not sell me a cup of lettuce. If I didn't buy the 2.99 side salad then I couldn't get any lettuce. -- In my 31 years of living I've never been turned down at a fast food joint for LETTUCE! Sat in the drive through for 25 mins, finally got to the window and they told me it would be a min and I would get to order. I listened to every conversation of the person taking orders of everyone inside the store while I got drenched with my window down waiting for my order to be taken. I heard her say "people are getting mad and backing up" as people behind me were leaving. She then told me she was going to shut down the drive through and told me she wasn't going to take my order! I had to plead with her to take my order as I saw many people who were behind me going inside to get their food. This location never seems to have enough people working and I feel awful for the workers because I'm sure it's not there fault. It took over 50 min for me to actually get food. Won't be coming back. read more

I would give this location a zero if I could. Person in the drive thru was rude, very rude. I could tell she wasn't listening to my order, when I repeated myself she cut me off and guess what? My order was wrong when we got to the window. We waited for our correct item only to get home and find the salad dressing wasn't included in our order. DO NOT GO to this location. I work in food service and have a lot of empathy, but this was BAD. Find another location. read more

the service isn't great the store closes pretty much whenever they want. wouldn't recommend.

Taste very bad and looks disgusting, I ordered 2 7 dollar meals and they never gave us our sundaes and dipping sauce. I went inside to tell them and when they were getting the sundaes I saw a fly crawling around in and outside of it's ice cream mix box. The spoons they gave me for the sundaes were dirty and disgusting it looked like they went in the trash and picked them back up to re use, I will never be combing back and will be telling everyone about my experience. I give it 1 star not even that I would give it 0 I do not recommend! read more

Stopped by to place and order the drive through was completely back up so I went inside. Waited patiently for someone to acknowledge I was there and I was told they were to busy to take anymore orders. Approximately 10 people waiting for their orders inside too. I have eaten here several times but never ordered the crispy chicken sandwich. Well I ordered one at the Redmond Dairy Queen the other day and it was fantastic!!! The same can't be said about Bend! It was like eating cardboard. There was absolutely no flavor. The chicken was dry. The heaped iceberg lettuce on it like I was looking for a lettuce sandwich. It was gross. I am already not a fan of lettuce on a hot sandwich and the lettuce was ten times thicker than the meat. The only saving grace was the fries and fry sauce. They were as good as Redmond. It's the only reason they get two stars. I would give them three but they serve gross Pepsi and not coke like Redmond. Why are Dairy Queen's so different? Great food in one...mediocre food in another. read more

Probably the most disgusting, unclean establishment I have ever stepped foot into. Even ordering just ice cream I was repulsed.

ordered 2 blizzards and they messed both of them up, and proceeded to give the wrong size, they mess something up at this location every time i go, will not be going back to this location, they were both simple already on the menu blizzards how do you mess that up? read more

My blizzard was completely melted and the place looked disgusting and workers were just swearing. Awful experience

Of all of the Bend DQs, this one is my favorite and really the only one I'll go to. It's reasonably clean, relatively quiet, and the employees are generally helpful and friendly. I've had an issue or two with an ordered filled incorrectly and with a menu discrepancy, and each time, the management has been responsive and friendly. They've even indulged in some off menu (reasonable) requests. (It pays to have had siblings who were previous DQ employees.) Bathrooms are hit and miss. There have been times where I would have rather cleaned fish guts than endure the smell coming out of the urinals, but today, my umpteenth visit of all days, they were clean and pleasant smelling. Like fry sauce? Other area DQs offer it, but only this location's tastes any good. It has a nice smooth, somewhat bold flavor. (I think they may add pickle juice to the mayo and ketchup.) Try it. You'll love it. read more

if you want to be horribly dissapoinyed then look no further than this dairy queen. i have never had a good experience here. the service is the worst ive ever seen they are always incredibly slow, they never get orders right, blizzards have hardly anything in them after about 2 bites its just plain ice cream and today i waited at the counter to order for 20 minutes with no help. i will never give my business to this location again read more

The best management decision for this location would be to shut it down until they could get a manager that could keep the dining room open. It's got to cost more to be open that what they are making serving one order at a time at the slowest drive up window in the country. We sat in line for 45 minutes to get a couple cones and eventually drove off disappointed and went to the Wendy's a block away. read more

I wish I could give -0 stars. Tonight my Dairy Queen experience was so awful. It's not like I make a killing at my minimum wage job and to spend 17 bucks to treat 2 others and I to a cheap dinner left me going to bed hungry. I guess im butthurt and very disappointed but I couldn't even eat my cheeseburger. My husband whose a garbage disposal couldn't even eat it. My advice, don't feed me a burger that tasted like it sat for over an hour before it was sold, cold meat, stale bun, WAY TOO MUCH MAYO AND KETCHUP and I swear I seen white mold on my bun. It wasn't just me, both my mother and I had flat nasty burgers. Never again Dairy Queen.....NEVER AGAIN! One piece of advice to the owner: have your employees feed customers fresh burgers made the way you'd want to eat them yourself. I created a yelp account just to leave this review. Customer service is terrible. Went to the south location. Went inside because the drive thru line was super long. Waited 10 minutes in line behind one other person. Not a single staff member acknowledged us. Staff members were walking by the front counter laughing and talking to each other. Not a single employee looked at us or said, "sorry for the wait", "or "someone will be with you soon". A lady that somehow was able to order said she was waiting 20 minutes already for her food. Left and drove to the north location and got in the drive thru line. One car was at the speaker ordering. I was the next car. As I drove up to the speaker employees shut off the lights to the drive through. I asked if they were still open or if they literally shut down the drive thru as I pulled up to order. No answer over the speaker. I pulled up and asked the person at the window if they really just shut down the drive thru with two cars in line. The person replied, "what?" I've had long waits at both locations before but I go back for my kid who loves Blizzards. Never again. I'll go anywhere else in town before DQ. It's not a " short staffed" issue. It's a terrible customer service issue. Not sure who trains the people who work at DQ but they have no idea how to treat customers. read more

The only word that can come out of my mouth are disgusted. Watched the register worker take our order and handle cash with no gloves. Then we proceed to wait for our cones. Just simple small dipped cones. They get sat down behind the counter and are melting and looked very lop sided. I wanted over 10 min for my melted cones before that same register worker handed me my cones after filling his fingers though his hair, touching money, and then grabbing my food with still no hand washing or gloves. I asked him to remake it with gloves on this time and he gave me the worst attitude ever. Might call this into DHS due to the uncleanliness in this establishment. read more

I love Dairy Queen and always have BUT this particular location closes before closing all. The. Time. When you're craving a blizzard and drive halfway across town because they are supposed to be open... and you pull into the drive and they tell you "I'm sorry but we are closed for the night"... WTF?! This has happened two nights in a row at 9 PM and 9:30 pm when their hours are clearly posted and haven't changed in years. This has happened more often than not over the past 5+ years and every time, their lights and signs are on. I just don't understand why a business doesn't stay open for the posted hours when it has posted hours?! read more

Blizzards are my go-to treats, but the treatment we received by one of the staff members today will keep us from going to this shop anymore, which is super unfortunate because it is so close to us! We had a reward for a free any size blizzard and asked to use it on the larger blizzard, and the gal taking our payment rolled her eyes and said it would go towards the smaller one. I asked if we could do two different transactions since there was no line and it wasn't busy, and again we were met with attitude. When she passed us out order she said literally nothing then closed the window, and the lid to the sauce was not put on and there was sauce alllll over the bag. We love this spot as our treat out, but will definitely not be returning because of her. read more
