Associate confirmed the order and assured it was dark meat only. 25 min later - upon scheduled time for pickup - was made to drive up / with the explanation that they "just got the order in the screen". This used to be a nice dining area. It was a fifties themed restaurant. Now the place feels it hasn't been taken care of since the fifties. The chairs badly need refinishing or replaced. The booths' vinyl seats are taped together to keep the stuffing in. The workers are continually apologizing for keeping customers waiting. The fried chicken was overcooked. Instead of eleven herbs and spices, I tasted mainly salt. For the most part, the place appears clean, just rundown. It needs a serious remodeling or rebuild. I updating the equipment could help the staff too. I give it two stars because it's clean and the staff is doing the best they can with what they have to work with. read more

Incredibly slow 30 minutes blocked in drive through 15 minutes at the window. Horrible! 9 years ago this was the best place to stop and pick up "tail gate" food for the concerts but sadly things have changed. Since my drive through experience I have given it one more chance with an inside visit. Service was average wait time wasn't ideal but the restaurant smelled like a sour mop. read more

My grandson and I had KFC tonight around 530. It was extremely busy and got even busier as we stood in line. The lady that waited on us, Veronica, was just fantastic. She stayed calm and helped us decide what we wanted. The service was great, the food was fresh and hot, and the other employees were working as a team. The dining room was clean. Worst experience for me and my girlfriend we had kfc the other night and woke up at 4:00am vomiting so hard our chest was hurting. We were puking all the way up until 9:30 but it didn't stop there. I ending up calming down around 10 but my girlfriend was puking all the up till 8 at NIGHTTTT and ended up having to go to the hospital for dehydration from throwing up for more than 15 hours straight. We both lost money that day cause we could not go into work and when you mess with a family's money that is 100% not acceptable. Great place to drop by! Ordered chicken wings and asked them for all flats and they gave it with a smile! :) It's bigger than the usual kfc and they even have Cheese curds which looks good but I didn't try it out. They even have a buffet when I dropped by in the evening but I'm not sure about the price or varieties. Call them and ask. Huge parking and meijer fuel pump and meijer 24 hours right beside. One of the best KFC's I have been to. Great Buffet, well stocked and hot and fresh foods. Specials like $10 Bucket of Chicken is a nice touch as well. The staff is always fast, courteous and friendly. The restaurant is always clean and well kept. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked also. I would highly recommend anyone who likes Fried Chicken to try this KFC out. One of the few KFC's in the area that have a buffet format. This restaurant always meets or beats my expectations. I even do takeout catering for my clients from this location. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the catering is fantastic. When I say "catering" I mean they make LARGE amounts of chicken with all the fixings and put them in large, heavy duty foil pans and I deliver it to my clients. NEVER a complaint of ANY type. Fast food places in Anderson leave something to be desired. However, this is the one exception. Everyone is super friendly and polite every time I go. Food is always correct, fresh and hot. It may take a few minutes longer than McDonald's but it takes much less time considering you don't have to go back and get your order fixed every time. I only wish they were open later. read more

Decided to try A&W KFC near Meijer tonight and the experience all around was one of the worst fast food experiences I have had. Waited patiently with one other person in the lobby for the food for nearly 15 minutes When the food was received the order was only a partial order. I advised the individual that the bag did not contain all of the food. Also, requested condiments be added to the bag. The women then has another employee prepare the rest of the order. While the employee was filing the rest of the order, the other employee decided to check her monitor to see if we DID actually have more to our order, after she reviewed the screen she noticed we were correct. So she brought the food to us, and since she spent time checking to see if I was lying about having the extra food she forgot condiments. At this point, we decided to stop asking for things, and left. Upon getting home I found that we were missing yet another part of the order. Called into the location and asked for a manager. Advised the manager I would like a refund on the order since we waited for a very extended period and the order was no where close to being fulfilled. The manager refused and told me to bring the half eaten food back. I asked the manager for the corporate contact number, and the number for the District Manager or Franchisee and she hung the phone up. Obviously very frustrated at this point I called back and asked for her name, only to be hung up on again. Called back yet a third time, advised her I was recording the call, and she finally gave the Franchisee name of Mike West. I asked when he would be in, and she said he does not work. I asked a number to contact him at, and she said the one I called. I questioned her one when to call since she just said he does not work. She said tomorrow periodically. Asked for a set time, and she refused. I asked her again, and she gave no response. I sat on the phone for nearly two minutes without a response from her. I attempted to call back only to find the phone was off the hook. It took five minutes of trying to call back, and when I did finally reach her again she refused her name. After my miniature novel about my experience, I will obviously not be going back, so save yourself the time and stress and go to another place. read more

We Stopped at the Anderson KFC/A&W and we loved it. First thing we noticed was how clean it was. We decided we wanted KFC and had the buffet. It was delicious. They kept it full and even cane to the table and asked if we needed anything. We happen to be there when the owner was there and he was in the dinning area talking to everyone. He offered the kids free ice cream and was very nice. I live in Northern Indiana but will stop there every time I am going to New Castle. I want to try A&W next time but it's hard because nothing beats KFC read more
