Since I love chicken fingers, this place was right down my alley. The fingers were nice and juicy and flavored very well. The fries were hot and cooked well and the sauce I tried was a perfect compliment to the chicken. The Mac and cheese was actually really good, which I wasn't expecting. There was a little wait time (actually a long wait now that I think about it) since everything was cooked to order and brought to the table. Minus a star for that because we were the only people inside beside another couple. Obviously they try to get the drive through out quicker than the people inside. Despite that...I returned two additional times to get take-out and each time was pretty consistent. Y'all have a good thing going Slim Chickens!

No problem, how about a milkshake? Alas they were out of strawberry. Hey it happens; how about two chocolate milkshakes? To my joy, they could do two chocolate shakes, yay! So I forked over the money and began to wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. I geddit, there were lots of cars in the drive through and I was inside. I guess someone laid out because it was the weekend. I am patient. So I waited. 25 minutes later -after making a dozen cardboard crowns (there were already five piles of them) one of the ladies made the milkshakes and plunked 'em on the counter. At last, chocolate milkshakes! Oh no. Because these are not milkshakes, they are a frozen vanilla mix, not ice cream, with a squirt of chocolate-ish syrup. Not chocolate-tasting syrup, and it wasn't even blended. Just sort of swirled. They tasted awful. I was hot and ready to enjoy a cold treat but this was like runny caulk that a stale chocolate bar happened to walk through on stilts. I could not stand more than one or two sips, then I put mine aside to dump in a trash can somewhere. By the time I got that crap out of the car it had melted and was no runnier than when it was frozen. Reader, that ain't ice cream and it wasn't a milkshake. Go, take a long book, place your order and hopefully enjoy a burger if you are brave. I dunno, I haven't the time left on Earth to see if they are any good. But unless you hate yourself and love to wait forever, avoid the milkshakes. Good luck.

It seems like the locals like this spot, as there were several people there eating, but I was definitely not impressed with the service orthe condition and lack of cleanliness. I was excited to share this with my wife, having nostalgia bringing me back to spring break, it did not disappoint! Burger tasted the same, YUM! I mentioned to my server that I haven't even seen a whataburger in 20 years and told her my story. This server was so very nice, went back and told the manager and she came up to speak to us and made the stop very memorable! I can't say enough on what a special manager they have running this particular chain store! Thank you for making this such a special stop on our trip to the area!
