I have scored their burgers at the Gadsden, AL location, and it is always great. I got their Triple Burger with cheese, and my wife got their Fried Chicken Wrap, and both were great. The food is always hot and fresh. The workers really care about how they make their food for the customers . I have had experiences where upon occasion that I have had to order their burgers in a special way and have never had a problem . Great spot for a quick lunch. Found myself in this area and saw the sign, I was hungry so pulled right in, and found it to be a pretty nice operation with a solid menu of recognizable buger/fries/ice cream type stuff, a clean and tidy space, and good prices. The food itself was simple and well prepared. The fries were crispy and hot and the burger was quite tasty and just the right size. It's advertised as a smash burger, but not as smashed as some that you might find...but that's ok. I'd order it again for sure. Overall this seems like a predictable spot with a familiar menu and they did a great job of keeping the line moving during a busy lunch rush. Friendly people, clean space, good food and great value. Came through and grabbed a quick dinner at the tail end of a long drive home. This is a locally-owned burger joint! They have a drive-through if you're in an extra big hurry but I figured I'd come inside and unwind a bit before finishing the last leg of my journey. It was clean inside, with a decent amount of indoor seating and a large outdoor patio too. I was a bit miffed to realize I'd stumbled in right behind a very large group of 10-12 people, but to my pleasant surprise, the staff got their orders in quickly and I didn't have to wait long. Everyone's food was out fast, too -- in total, I was waiting maybe 5-7 minutes. Not bad at all. The staff was more friendly than I'd expect for a quick-service burger place, way nicer than your average Wendy's or McDonald's. They were super helpful and patient and seemed to be working hard. The burgers are smash burgers -- think like Steak n Shake or Freddy's. That means if you're really hungry, you'd probably do better with a double! I wasn't famished or anything, so I just got a single patty hamburger combo. The price was right -- wanna say something like $8, but can't remember exactly. Less than $10 for sure. I can't remember what the standard burger has on it, but I got mine with lettuce, ketchup, and their special/comeback sauce, which to my tastes is your standard (albeit yummy) slightly vinegary, pale orange mayo/ketchup fusion. My burger was cooked nicely and the bun was soft, if a little greasy. My fries were standard but also cooked nicely and I found ketchup to dip them in easily. They make milkshakes if you want dessert, but I was eager to get back on the road. Bathrooms appear to be for one person at a time, and whoever went in ahead of me was taking way too long for my patience, so can't comment on that, lol. I can't promise your mind will be blown with the best burger and fries you've ever had, but if you're looking for locally owned, very clean, friendly service and tasty food on a budget and short timeframe, this place fits the bill exactly. read more

I haven't found a lot of good local fast food places, but I really like this one! I pop in when I'm working in Gadsden, and their burgers and fries are really tasty! I find that if a place has a good burger, the fries are usually so-so. But not these guys, very good crisp on the fries, and make sure to order the BBQ sauce! Tastes home made! New place, seems to be doing pretty good out of the gate. Nothing is easy about Covid and opening a restaurant during these times can't be easy. They really seemed to have it together as far as keeping people social distanced and staff wearing masks. They were pretty busy when we came in here, I'm guessing everyone is just happy to have a new option .... hopefully they will last, nothing seems to stay in this building very long. Staff was friendly and answered our questions about menu items and took our orders. Food prep took about 10 minutes, not too bad considering how many people had ordered a head of us. They call out names (or maybe #'s) when the food is ready, we grabbed our and were pleased to see that the orders were correct the first time (any of you that have eaten with me know I rarely order something the way it's called out on the menu) .... food was fresh and burger had good flavor. Definitely a step above the other traditional fast food burger joints we all know. That being said I will agree with some of the other reviews - the burger is the only thing warm on the bun - everything else was cold (well bacon was warm too). So if you're looking for melted cheese and things like that, not happening here - but, I actually don't mind my burger that way so no deduct on stars from me. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend this place (and have) to others. read more

I went through the drive-thru, and ordered a single burger combo, add cheese, with fries and a vanilla milkshake! Everything was hot and fresh, the fries were crispy, and the milkshakes taste like they're made fresh with ice cream. The cheese was melted on my burger, which is a must for me. The young lady working the drive thru was wearing a mask correctly, which was really pleasing to see! Sadly the only recyclable item is the plastic lid on the cup and the brown paper bag. Actually, my wife and I decided to check this place out yesterday and have been wanting to ever since it took over the Hot Heads building. We were not able to go in but given a choice I think we'll dine in next time. We had heard the service was slow because the burgers are made to order so it was not unexpected that we waited in "drive thru" for over 10 minutes. Now for the burgers...Worth the wait! We ordered the combos (burger, drink & fries) and while the fries were a bit salty and not anything special, the burgers were fantastic! Be warned... the standard combos start out as doubles and go up from there but you can special order single combos. I order the double bacon cheeseburger combo and my wife ordered the double cheeseburger combo. They use a special sauce that tastes like a cross between Guthrie's sauce and Jack's comeback sauce... Fantastic! I didn't realize until it was too late but you can substitute Sweet Potato Tots for the fries. Will definitely try that next time! May have to go back today! read more

After a long appointment elsewhere, I wanted to come here today to give this place a try. I never visited when it was briefly "Hot Head Burritos" some time ago, so this was my first time in the building itself. There was around as many people in the drive-thru as there were people in the restaurant itself, and my grandfather and I chose to dine in. The staff, who did well with keeping their masks on, kept things moving at a decent pace. For my meal, I ordered a single cheeseburger with everything on it (meat, cheese, tomatoes, pickles, and restaurant-style sauce), and I got a 3-piece chicken finger combo with fries. I got a cup of buffalo sauce and ranch dressing to dip my chicken in. I had a Coca-Cola as my drink which was fresh. Almost instantly after receiving our order (around 10 minutes after placing it), my grandfather had to go back to the counter twice to get bacon put on his burger as he ordered. Everything in my order was prepared properly, though I wasn't impressed by the food itself. Everything on my burger was cold except for the meat. I feel like I've had that same kind of burger at other restaurants before, and to put it simply... nothing stood out with it. As for the chicken and fries, I did like them, but they also weren't outstanding. The chicken was very crispy, but almost a bit too done; many hard bits of the skin. The fries were thinly cut and decently seasoned. Both the fries and chicken were reminiscent of what I've had at Hardee's in the past. If you come here for a meal, choosing the chicken and fries while skipping the burger would be my recommendation. I got a small cookie dough milkshake as a dessert, and I didn't like it. It was the thinnest milkshake I've ever consumed, like someone threw cookie dough bits into a glass of milk. I watched her prepare it, so maybe it's just something wrong with their machine? The milkshakes and ice cream are from the Blue Bunny brand. As for the restaurant itself, the inside is decorated with various wall art dedicated to Gadsden and it's handful or attractions. There were a few flies, some of which were near the ice cream counter. One of them obstructed the news playing on the ceiling-mounted televisions; I thought the news station was having a glitch with their weather SkyCam, but nope... it was just a fly on our end. There were multiple unclean tables and booths. The bathrooms were mostly clean, no complaints there. The atmosphere and design of the inside reminds me a lot of the "Cook Out" chain, though Burger 101 is about half its size. The outside dining area is a suitable size for larger crowds. Other than my overall dissatisfaction with this restaurant, I do understand that it is a new establishment and has some things to be worked on. The staff were decent, so I wish them the best with keeping this new burger joint up. For the moment, Burger 101 may need to retake the class. read more

Went here the other day with the hubby and was waited on by the nicest people. I ordered the double cheeseburger and fries and he ordered the chicken finger and fries. Everything was excellent from the service, to the wait time, to the foot itself. The price was good as well. The burger was off the chain. We will definitely be back for sure! read more

This burger place is AMAZING. I was craving a burger in my dorm lol, and decided to try this place out. It does take some time for it to be made because they make the burgers to order but the wait was fine because my burger was fresh and SO yummy. The fries were absolutely delicious to me as well, if you like crispy fries then this is your place. Sauce is a big factor for me as well and I got ranch and they're ranch is literally one of my favorites now. This place is a must and super cute aesthetic too!! 10/10 read more
