I understand it's not to everyone's liking, but WOW! The only disadvantage to this place is they don't carry a lot of the toppings that other sub places have. I like banana peppers, jalapeños, green peppers, and spinach. None of those are an option. You can add to a peppers to a Philly, but they seem to be very basic with topping options. The service is ok, it always takes time to make a sub, and it took longer than normal as it was an online order that I came in to pick up, but I wasn't in a hurry so it didn't effect me or the review stars. The ambiance is nice like a typical sub shop. I don't get anything else besides the Big Kahuna sun on rosemary so nothing else to review. Give them a try and be patient, subs take time. You don't get a mini sub like Jimmy John's! It's way bigger!

One piece of advice, is avoid the baked beans. They're a bit overly sweet. And to me baked beans should have some bacon in them or something like that. These disappointed a bit. And to be honest, the thing that really stole the show was at noon they play the national anthem and everybody stands to face the flag, I love the patriotic atmosphere and you can tell that this place is run by people who care. This is the best BBQ pork that I've eaten at a restaurant, succulent, delicate, smokey, flavorful, esthetically appealing, and it makes me wish that we had something like this in the Atlanta area. I love fried okra, when it's cooked properly, and with that comes critical feedback; their version reminds me of how my grandmother made her fried okra (and that's the standard I use to measure all others by.) The mixed greens had a slight hint of smoky ham hock, probably could have benefitted from a little more salt, but I understand that some people have to watch their sodium intake so I bet the restaurant leaves that up to the customer. Our server was a delight, very smiley and cheery, welcoming, etc. Inside, it feels like they have preserved history and married it to classy modernity. The next time I visit Albertville, this will be on the to-do list. Keep up the good work, folks!

Something about them had a hint of sweetness to it, which we didn't care for. We ended up squeezing a lemon and adding some malt vinegar to them to get that sour/dill taste that we'd hoped for. Next up, we ordered the Dubliner and Fried Fish Tacos. We enjoyed both of them. The fish tacos were giant, very filling and crunchy. It was a little heavy on the breading (for me), but I enjoyed them. You can get the fish grilled or fried and I opted for fried. The Dubliner was pretty tasty and didn't skimp on heartiness. The sliced steak, mushrooms, cheese and gravy meshed very well on a open slice of brioche bread. Our server and service was pleasant. She suggested the zucchini instead of the broccoli with the Dubliner, and they were pretty good.

Crazily enough, I had driven by s few if their locations and always said that I would stop by by never had so I was kind of psyched that today was finally the day. This particular location appears to be extremely popular as we pulled up a bit after eleven o'clock in the morning and a crowd was building up already. We were seated and given our menus and our drink orders were taken. Everyone else at the table ordered either the filet mignon or the salmon, so I figured those were the two good choices, so I went with the filet mignon with a loaded baked potato and I had ranch dressing on my salad. We also got the sausage appetizer and the boom boom shrimp appetizer for the table to share. Both appetizers came and both were good. My salad came next and it was also good and they put on enough salad dressing (few places put what I deem an appropriate amount of salad dressing). My filet mignon and loaded bake potato were good, especially for the price point. I would definitely recommend a visit here.

The folks working were pleasant and attentive and our food was made quickly. My dad ordered a Reuben sandwich with chips and my mom and I both got the Frito chili pie. The chili wasn't spicy at all but had satisfying umami flavor. The Fritos stayed nicely crunchy and the jalapeños were a great touch. My dad liked his Reuben too, though it didn't quite stack up to the heights of his GOAT Reuben, haha. The side of chips was impressive and very generous.
