We stopped here for a quick lunch while passing through the area and it was pretty good. We ordered the fried pickles as our starter. Something about them had a hint of sweetness to it, which we didn't care for. We ended up squeezing a lemon and adding some malt vinegar to them to get that sour/dill taste that we'd hoped for. Next up, we ordered the Dubliner and Fried Fish Tacos. We enjoyed both of them. The fish tacos were giant, very filling and crunchy. It was a little heavy on the breading (for me), but I enjoyed them. You can get the fish grilled or fried and I opted for fried. The Dubliner was pretty tasty and didn't skimp on heartiness. The sliced steak, mushrooms, cheese and gravy meshed very well on a open slice of brioche bread. Our server and service was pleasant. We drove in from Huntsville to eat here and it was a huge disappointment. The winner of the night was the soft pretzel that was perfectly soft & crispy. It went downhill from there. The ribeye came out completely grey on one side, unevenly cooked and was very thin. Like a pork chop. The wings were inedible, I ate one that actually made me gag when I took a bite. They were flavorless and possibly undercooked. Fries & Mac n cheese came out cold. Grilled cheese came out burnt on one side and not cooked on the other. 3/4 of us left hungry. read more

The food and service are always good here. I cannot figure out why it is never very crowded. I was surprised and a little unhappy that, after ordering wings and being asked what dipping sauce I wanted, I was charged .75 for it. At least one dipping sauce should come with wings. The food and service were great! We got a Philly cheesesteak with onion rings, wings, and fries. They have several wing flavors, and the menu is huge. Everything was tasty and hot, and the service by Hailey was great. She was knowledgeable about the menu items, pleasant, and seemed to really like being a server, which is always a plus. We came in on a Sunday afternoon early dinner. The drinks were good, but they forgot the fried pickles appetizer before the food came out. The kitchen told our server it would be at least 5-10 minutes after our dinner arrived, so we cancelled the appetizer. Overall, the food was good. read more

Service was great. Atmosphere was ok. Environment was clean. Food was tasteless. Had the wings, hot and at the very best it was mild. You could have let a child eat it and they wouldn't have had trouble. The wing size was acceptable. I prefer my wings more crispy and these were not. I've not been to the Jefferson's in Guntersville yet, but if it holds to the one in Jacksonville, go there instead. I would probably not choose to return to this restaurant. Staying at campground close by and saw this was open on Sunday evening. I ordered the cheesy, bacon chicken which was recommended by our server. It was great and had 1/2 left over for next day. Hubs had chopped sirloin with onions and gravy. He was very happy with it and NO leftovers! They have a huge menu to select from. Service was great with very friendly and attentive server.
