We came here for a birthday and we really liked it. The ambiance was nice and classy. The service was very good, we had a birthday cake with us and we asked for a knife to cut it with and our server got one for us. The food was really good. I got the loaded fries as an appetizer and it was pretty good. I got the tortellini pasta and it was fine, it definitely could've use some seasoning on it. We were told about JD's, so decided to try them out while in town. We went on a Saturday around lunch time and we must have gotten there at a great time because it wasn't packed. We were immediately greeted and sat at a booth. Our waitress then came and took our orders, Both the waitress and the hostess were very nice and welcoming. As I was walking to our booth, I noticed another customer with an entrée that I wanted to try. After asking our waitress, I tried the Cajun Tilapia dish with Shrimp. This dish was actually pretty tasty. I wasn't expecting it to be that well seasoned, but it was very delicious. It also came with rice and corn, so it was very filling. We also tried the Spicy Risotto balls, which were also surprisingly delicious. The only dish I felt needed to be a little more refined was the Lobster bisque. It wasn't bad. It was creamy, but it needed more seasoning and wasn't as "fresh" tasting. Nonetheless, great visit to JD's and definitely would come back. read more

I, along with two others, had lunch here. We were not disappointed. I got the spaghetti and really it was some of the best I have ever had. The noodles were just right (slightly al dente). The homemade sauce had a good consistency and was very tasty. Excellent and a nice portion size, too! I also got the crab bisque and it too was very good! The others got a stuffed baked potato and the country fried steak. They liked both of their dishes. The server did a good job. The ambiance is not the best (a little run down), but the food and service are top notch. read more

We were visiting in town and looking for place our party of four could all enjoy. When we entered there was relaxed ambience, not obvious from outside, that made us very comfortable. The fried mushrooms won out as an appetizer and very good. For entrees we ended up ordering three rib eyes and a New York strip for dinner. All were cooked exactly as ordered and delicious. I had the sautéed vegetables and a baked potato for sides and I recommend them both. Got a look at other diners' pasta dishes and I would like to try those when we are back in town. Service was great with the right amount of attention and the pacing of the meal delivery was great. I would recommend giving JD's a try. read more

My wife and I tried JD's for the first time. This was obviously a Chinese restaurant at one time so the atmosphere was just ok. She had the southwest egg rolls and I had a cheeseburger. We also had corn nuggets as an appetizer. I was pleasantly surprised how good the food was. Probably one of the best burgers I've had. Service was a little slow but we were there at 1:45 on a Saturday. I would have given 5 stars but for "bar and grill" I like a better atmosphere. Thought I would give this place a third shot. First time ok. Second time not so great. Well it continues to get worse. I go with my wife. Sit down took awhile for some service. We order two waters and a beer. Water tasted like soap. We got the fried cheese. Not bad. Probably best thing we had. My wife ordered some wine. Took awhile to get to the table. Waitress didnt really check on us much. Was gonna get another beer, but after awhile figured it would take too long For dinner we tried the burgers. Ordered mine medium. Burger came, bread was soggy. Instead of medium I got a hockey puck. Took one bite and was done. Never complained. Just didnt eat it. Waitress comes as we just starting eating, looked at us and said you ready for this and had our check in her hand Terrible food. Worse service. Last time we go. Been here three times, food isnt fresh. Service is awful. Plenty of places to check out instead of JD's. read more

Our first time there was on a Friday night. We were seated near the bar and it was very loud. There were many other seats open so why we got that seating I will never know. I had the New York strip with baked potato and green beans. My wife had the ribeye with veggies and onion rings. My steak was not the best. The potato was over cooked and dry and the green beans were warm at best. My wife faired better with a good steak and veggies but the onion rings were greasy and under cooked. Service was good but we did wait a long time to get our meal. We might go back on a weekday lunchtime and see if it is any better. read more

We are new to the area from the Washington DC suburbs. Husband and I tried this place out about month ago. and I have to say it was really good. He had the pasta special. I had tortellini. Portion sides were big. Services was friendly and attentive. I came back to get a lunch order. Chicken Parm subs. One recommendation for the own. You need a much bigger sign. We almost missed the turn finding the place. Like I would move the flam logo to the left of the JD's Grill and make the wording much bigger. Just saying. read more

Just a wonderful little restaurant hidden in plain sight. I was looking for a new eatery close to home and stumbled across this place. The staff is really helpful and friendly. Food was delicious and came out piping hot! My husband ordered the Chicken Parmesan and the portion size was quite large. I ordered the Soup of the Day, which was Jalapeño Crab Bisque, along with the Black & Blue Salad. The bisque was not spicy hot, but pleasantly flavored and very enjoyable. Took my wife here for dinner tonight for date night. First of all we had to wait 10 minutes when there were plenty of empty tables. When we got a table we were served cold rolls with our drinks. Ordered and the food was cold, and it was okay. The waitress never came by and checked on us except for once and my wife asked for more tea wine her cup was empty. We were handed the check, didn't give us an option to even get dessert if we wanted. The service was not worth the price we paid and neither was the food. We will never go here again. read more

We tried JD's for the first time last night. Very good experience. My wife had the Cajun Tilapia with Shrimp, which was very good, and I had the Italian Chicken with Spinach, Cheese, and Bacon. I really couldn't detect any bacon, and the spinach was still a little crunchy, but overall very tasty and a good portion. The Malibu Barbie drink was also nice, and glad to have a local draft from Main Channel. We'll definitely come back to try out more meals. read more

If you're not paying attention you will miss it. My wife and I came here for lunch after a track meet with our daughter and I'm glad we did. The food is great and so was the service.
