I walked into the Van Nuys Lexus dealership thinking I would get a great car! I spent my time looking around and couldn't find anything I like. Than Eddie Yadegar your sales manager approached me and started to show me cars he thought I would like and I actually ended up liking the 2015 Lexus GS 350, but we hasn't giving me a good deal when this car already had damaged acid stain rims from previous owner. He started promising me if I would purchase this car for the total amount of $37,000 he will fix the rims for me but unfortunately, we did not come to an agreement with the monthly payment, I personally thought it was too high and I walked away. As I was leaving the Lexus Dealership , literally inside my car with my wife another employee by the name of Shahin Bimori lexus Product Specialist didn't want to let me leave without making a deal with him. I decided I would hear what he has to say , so my wife and I parked our car again at the lot and enter the dealership again. He try to immediately make a better offer with the monthly payment which he did, and my concern as well was to tell him I really like this car but the rims are sprayed with acid by a previous owner and that's one of my concerns I would like fixed which he agreed to help me with. Then i told him i would like to do a trade in, which was a BMW 750 Active Hybrid year of 2011 which we came into an agreement he will give me $10,000 for the worth of my BMW. On top of this agreement i offered to give him on the spot $10,000 all in cash.So, the total amount LEXUS received from me on the date of 7/3/18 was $20,000. Again, $10,000 for my BMW worth, another $10,000 all cash. So we finally made the deal! For the Rims issue he told me to come after the long weekend of fourth of july to figure out the issue of my rims because it will be a long weekend which i agreed on. when i came the day he told me, he was not there at the dealership and it turns out he was on vacation for 3 days. so I decide to come back when the was going to be there and he looked at my rims and he told me he doesn't know what to do with them so he just sent them to the back for a rim clean up. The results ended up the same because they were not dirty they were stained, he immediately went inside to talk to his supervisor and then his supervisor by the name of Paul Motylyev Lexus Sales Manager starts to approach me and started telling me that they can't do anything and that if i wanted them fix i would have to pay 15,000 out of my pocket and then i told him that Shahin Bimori promised me he would be the one to fix my rims and then Paul started offering me a newer car and he wanted me to pay him an additional $5,000 and he wanted it in cash, to reach my monthly payment. i started to tell him i can't afford it, and he started to get mad and started kicking me out the dealership and started telling me i can't go inside the dealership if he doesn't invite me. i wanted to go up stairs and speak to the person who did my contract and he did not allow me to go. we was very rude to me, and didn't want to help me. he treated me extremely bad and he even had the odyssey to laugh in front of me with his salesman. i felt disrespected , and discriminated. in the future if you want to succeed please make sure you know who you hire and make sure the they promise what they say. i didn't appreicate how they treated me, nor the way they handled this situation. I can't say enough good things about the Service Department at Keyes Lexus!! First they handle my vehicle with the utmost care -- they put coverings on the floor, seat and even one over the steering wheel. The entire staff is professional and organized -- they make sure you are seen by your advisor right away and process your vehicle/info for service so you can quickly go on with the rest of your day. Their customer lounge is the best I've ever seen -- you'd think you're in a five star resort. I've worked with the service manager, Allan, in the past and he is extremely professional, honest, friendly, and doesn't give you the kind of bull like other dealerships do. AVOID this Lexus dealer. They use ALL the sleazy "used car salesmen" tricks in the book. They have HORRIBLY overpriced "add-ons" ($3000+ for chromed wheels? You mean stock wheels I can get chromed for $300?) They also have a tricky finance department. MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING. DO NOT TAKE THEIR WORD FOR IT. They will pressure you to sign papers, don't do it unless EVERYTHING is the way you want it. Their sales staff are snakes. I dreamed of owning a Lexus for awhile and since I live half a mile away from this dealership went there first. Did appraisal on my potential trade in prior to coming, I also worked with my credit union on my potential loan. And did a research on the cars I wanted and an average cost, was looking for a used certified vehicle. Was greeted by one salesman who looked at me and apparently decided he was too good to assist me so he shoveled me to some Arabic elderly salesman. Hm... ok. I on purpose dress up poorly so they don't think they can get as much $$$ out of me as possible. I am a single female in early 30s. We get to the office and start talking about what I am looking for and how much I was willing to pay. The dude started repeating "not bad, not bad" and offered me NOTHING close to what I was looking for and for a higher price. I had to stop him at least 5 times... at this time their appraiser was working on my car. He comes back with the report the salesman looks at it and starts with his "oh, not bad, not bad". I asked how much they are willing to give me... and here it goes $3000 for the car that was appraised for $8500... at this point I just walked out. Ridiculous at its best. Later my friend told me they had experience with the dealership and it was the worst they ever had. No wonder, I would suggest to avoid them at all cost. read more

Recently my girlfriend's Lexus RX was stolen from her church parking lot. The thief broke the window, found her valet key in the glove box, then drove off with the car. The vehicle was recovered and due to damage was towed to our Denver auto body repair shop. The valet key was never recovered. The valet key or spare key is a flat key that oftentimes is mistakenly left in the cover of the Owner's Manual. It will start the car and open the doors just like your regular key. After completing the repairs on this particular vehicle, sent the car to the Lexus dealer to have the vehicle rekeyed. Rekeying a car means having ALL the locks and keys changed and the car reprogrammed which renders the old keys useless. Keep in mind the thief may still be in possession of the valet key and could steal the car again or the contents if the vehicle is not rekeyed. And in this particular case, the chances are high that this person might go back to the same church and try it again. Unfortunately, the insurance company declined to pay to rekey the vehicle! She is now faced with two options, paying their $1,000.00 deductible and over $800.00 to have the vehicle rekeyed or live with the knowledge that someone else out there may still have the key to her car. We called several people at the insurance company to get them to re-consider their position to no avail. This is the first time we have ever had an insurance company decline such a necessary repair. Recently we spoke with two insurance adjusters from other insurance companies who indicated that rekeying the vehicle would have been covered in this situation. We also found getting an answer from other Insurance companies on how they would handle the same situation was not so easy either. Many policies don't directly address the question of coverage in this situation. It seems like it is up to internal policies within the insurance company. After reviewing my personal auto policy with Amica Mutual Insurance Company, it clearly spells out, "We will pay for lock replacement on your covered auto without a deductible if your keys are lost or stolen." So, to prevent your car from being stolen make sure you do not have any spare keys in your car. Keep your valet key on your keychain if you need it for valet parking purposes. In general I just love LEXUS! read more

Came to Keyes Lexus to return my current lease and waited over an hour as I watched customers looking at or buying cars getting helped left and right. Once I was helped the entire turn in process took just 5 minutes. Why did I wait over an hour for someone to read my odometer and print out one page for me to sign? After I waited over an hour to turn in my vehicle Keyes Lexus wouldn't even call me a Lyft to get home? Probably would have leased another Lexus had their service been better. Good and bad. Keyes Lexus had the used car I'd been looking for listed online. Called to confirm it would be there and they enthusiastically said it was. The salesman, Q, was just fine - I knew what I wanted and was able to talk the price down a little bit. I had my loan already secured and neither Q or the finance guy tried to push me on into one of their own (it was a great deal - check your local credit union!). Everything about buying the car was relatively simple. Everything since hasn't been great. After I got it home, I noticed a few scratches on the door. I also realized that the center console was missing a tray. Called Q a few times, finally got the car into the dealership on a scheduled appointment. After 3 hours, they were able to take a few of the paint scratches with a solvent, but they didn't buff out anything. Didn't make much of a difference. And I didn't get my tray, but I was tired of waiting so I left. Called Q a week later, who told me he could get the tray, but I'd have to pay $40 for it. I just dropped a lot of money on a car, but I'd have to pay $40 for a tray that should've been there in the first place. Fine, whatever. He said he'd call me back when they got it. A month later, I'm still waiting on him to call me back with the part. But the dealership is nice. They have free cookies. You eat those cookies. read more

Came here with my man- so this is just an observation as a guest, not costumer. I hate dealerships, and I am a sales person. With that said... This place was ok. The showroom was magnificent, and filled with big red bows for the holidays! (I've always wanted one of the bows, a car would be nice too.) There is a fancy "bar" area with state of the art coffee machines, and fridges full of water, redbull, etc. John Kim was my bf's sales agent. He wasn't pushy- but my bf had gone through truecar.com to get his approved/agreed price. (Truecar.com is an amazing service btw, great company!) John knew enough to talk about the car, but not enough to answer more specific, detailed questions pertaining to the performance and the technology of the car. Love love love! Great experience from the first phone call through financing and drive away! I waited until the absolute last minute to return my CT200h and I had one day to find a new car lease. Sunday! When several of the dealerships were closed. I live in Marina Del Rey so my go to Lexus dealership is in Santa Monica, but they quoted me such a high price that I called Beverly Hills. They were $40 lower. Finally, I went online and sent out a request to several dealerships for a quote on a UX250h F Sport lease. Shaw Namini called me within minutes. He was immediately straight forward, professional and affable. He gave me a quote over the phone that was $80 lower than Beverly Hills. He did not pressure me at all. And he turned a stressful situation into a very pleasant one. Of Course Beverly Hills got competitive and cut their price by $100. They are much closer to me than Van Nuys, but it was Shaw that got me to go there. He wasn't trying to see what he could get away with charging. He just wanted me to have a good experience getting me in the car I wanted. He was extremely knowledgeable. Not only about the car, but about what kind of inventory was out there within a 500 mile radius. I traveled the extra 20 miles to go to Keyes, not just because Shaw gave me a great price, but because I trusted him. I know that car sales people get a bad wrap. Often for good reason. I have certainly dealt with my share of pushy, greedy dealers who try to manipulate and pressure me into a sale. But Shaw (and his manager Sam) are not like that. They just seem like good people with good intentions who want you to have a good experience. And as a last COVID related note...they had the car ready and disinfected when we got there. Everyone in the office was wearing masks. Shaw and Sam kept their distance. We test drove the car on our own. And they got us in and out very fast. Thank you Shaw! Update: my mirrors got repainted. Thanks to Lexus HQ if not for them Keyes service would definitely not admit their mistakes. FYI - i had my Lexus rx 330 for 8 long years now none of these peeled clearcoat paint would have happen if they just took care of each vehicle that was serviced. Now they are saying that the bamboo pearl paint is prone to discoloration. WoW what a fraud Keyes service dept...i spoke to Lexus HQ rep & they have no evidence of that kind of paint to peel off unless it was pressure washed. You will end up paying far more than you negotiate. When we recently renewed on a new lease, we agreed to an "as is" lease return which we had done in the past. I kept reiterating the lease return was to be "as is" to Shaw, the salesman. He confirmed over and over this would be the case. He took our keys for a vehicle inspection. I was reassured the lease return was "as is" with no issues. A month after we purchased the lease, we got a bill for $1800 from Lexus. No overage miles. The "as is" return wasn't honored. Being in the business myself and a General Sales Manager myself of one the largest Nissan dealerships in the world, I have never seen a General Manager like David Kohan going around greeting every customer...at 9pm!! I got here late after going to a BMW dealership, and the Infiniti dealership down the street. I wasn't even thinking Lexus, until the last minute before getting back on the freeway to head back home. I went by Keyes Lexus literally just to "look" at the RX350 for my wife. Haid the salesperson is such an awesome guy! I was chatting it up with him like we weren't even talking business! Mr. Matt Zanjani the sales manager came out and greeted me and we just talked about movies and cars! Lol. I was seriously thinking the BMW X6 because I've owned one before, however because of Said, Matt Zanjani and Mr. David Kohan's service, I called the wife and told her she's getting a Lexus. I can honestly say because of these 3 gentlemen I purchased the Lexus. I can truly say I learned a little more about customer service last night. If it weren't for the 3 gentleman I mentioned, I would've probably just picked up another BMW. I personally have owned 7 BMW's and currently drive an i8. I noticed the base price on the 2019's were 40k, and the base price on the 2016's were 36k. I mentioned to the sales person that it's amazing your cars only depreciate 4k in 3 years (sarcasm). He told me he could knock a few thousand off the 2016 (of course). I then showed him kbb had that 2016 car's "fair price" (certified dealer value) as 26k. This place's way of doing business is very shady. I had bought my Certified Used Lexus from them, and it had been a nightmare from the beginning. When I inspected the vehicle, I found that it had a large scratch on the hood, and I brought it to their attention. They said they will fix it and sent it to the cheapest paint place they could find. The paint is now fading and looks really dull and ugly compared to the original paint of the car's body. They also had the rims of the car painted to trick you into thinking the car is well taken care of and the paint started to peel off months later. Although I had bought the car from their "Certified Used" Lexus, when I came back to the dealership, their service manager said that they have no record of my purchase ever being made there even though I had to bring the car back for recall services. You would think that you will get a peace of mind getting a "Certified Used" Lexus, but that is where they will get you. Your initial trust in those 2 words. Please be careful when buying cars from these guys, they will find ways to cheat you out of your money. Also please read the contract thoroughly and be very careful about signing it. It is about time for me to get another car and for sure it will not be from Keyes Lexus. read more
