This is the first review I've ever left for anyone on Yelp, so here goes. I was having trouble with a high-end front door lock, and had several locksmiths work on it to no avail. I saw the reviews of Key One (Gordon) on Yelp, and decided to give him a try. He was incredibly prompt, polite, professional, and he permanently fixed a problem that other locksmith's couldn't. Oh, I almost forgot to mention, he's also very reasonably priced - especially for the quality and professionalism of his work. Most importantly, he's a very nice guy. Ho hype, no gimmicks, just a very competent, polite person doing a great job. I will use him again in a heartbeat. read more

Same day service. I got a new front door and the lock that was put into it did not match my other locks, so I was hoping to get it rekeyed and only have to use one lock for the whole house. He got some info from me on the phone and told me the two brands were not compatible, so I asked him to replace the new one with the correct brand. He came out on time, and worked on it for a while. There were some issues with the new door that made it so the new lock would not fit. He even went to the store to get some parts to try to make it work, and came back and worked some more. He could not do it, and would not accept any payment for all his hard work since he could not fix it for me. I tried to pay him and told him he should take it for his time but he would not. Amazing guy! I have used him a few times over the years and have always found his service to be great. I can't recommend him highly enough. read more

I had an issue with a dead bolt at the old homestead and needed to get it fixed. I'm a handy guy, so I took it apart and went in search of parts to fix the 40+ year old deadbolt. After a trip to Lowes and Ace Hardware, I started to hit up the Web to find a locksmith. I called 4 company's close to me and NO ONE answered the phone! Then a call to Key One. I didn't get the guys name that answered, but I proceeded to tell him my story about wanting to fix the deadbolt rather than replace it (and make and redistribute 25+ keys to friends and family, re-key the whole house, etc.) He said it was unfortunate that he works moblie and was in northwest Tucson at the time, but gave me options who to call or stop by close to me. This guy then offered to give me a good used deadbolt cylinder if I couldn't find one and he would meet me somewhere mid town if that would help. I was astounded by THAT kind of customer service! After a moment to understand just what happened, I thanked him, told him I would keep his number in MY phone and if EVER I needed a locksmith,or I could send him a customer I would pass on his number. Really, in this day and age where do you find any business that is willing to go out of their way to help someone like that, and for free!!! Not often do I need a locksmith but when someone mentions to me that they need one, this is my go to guy. I had to post for the first time because of how happy I am with the service, and price, I received from Gordon at Key One. The deadbolt on my door lock broke and was stuck in the the locked position, so I could not get in or out of the door. I had friends try to fix it, but none had any luck and all told me I needed a locksmith. I was concerned about finding someone who would get the job done quickly for a fair price. Luckily a friend recommended Gordon, who was indeed quick, fair and professional.
