I thought some of these reviews sounded too good to be true but I took a chance and hired Gordon. Be wary of some of the other guys. I called around to get a few phone estimates and found one guy was putting down some of the other locksmiths and then learned that he had several locksmith businesses under different names (I found several websites that were identical except for the business name). This seemed shady to me which is one of the reasons I went with Gordon. I like the fact that the guy you get on the phone is not only the owner but the same guy who does the job. On the phone, Gordon clearly stated his prices and scheduled an appointment. It was important that all of my locks be changed quickly due to firing a household employee. Gordon was on time and was very quick. He even explained to me about the pros and cons of the locks I had. One of the locks he re-keyed was sticky when I tested it and he quickly fixed the issue. He was in and out and re-keyed 6 locks in less than 30 minutes. His prices were very reasonable. read more

Quick response, quality work, and reasonable price. Key One will be my first call for any locksmith services. My tenant called me this morning to tell me that they had recently lost a key and today they had an intruder. I called Key One at 12:30 PM, explained the situation, and asked how soon they could rekey the house. They were there an hour later and the job was done an hour after that. Fast and reasonably priced. Highly recommend! I needed to have rental house re-keyed after tenants moved out; they did not return all keys and kept reentering the house. I called Key One and the very next day, Gordon met me on my lunch hour and they re-keyed a large house with multiple regular and security doors, totaling 9 lock cylinders in an hour! They went above and beyond, helping me secure four bedroom windows with security bars which require quick release mechanism for emergency egress. Will never consider anyone but Key one. Gordon was there at 8 am sharp. My deadbolt lock was a non pick deadbolt. Gordon informed me that it would have to be destroyed in order to get in and then I would have to replace the lock. I was bummed at the possible cost. He worked the lock and was able to get in! Unbelievable and I was extremely pleased at how quick he did everything. Total cost $70 and he saved the deadbolt and re keyed it. Honest and thorough. read more

Our two toddlers figured out how to unlock our front door. My assumption was that I needed a new, higher deadbolt installed, but wasn't sure. I called & spoke with Gordon. He took the time and arranged for me to text him pictures of our door. He then recommended a solution, a flip lock. I had no idea at the time what this was. But it cost us $3 or so at Ace Hardware and I was able to install myself in 10 minutes. Like Gordon pointed out, it was a good solution since it did not involve altering our door, it attached only to the door frame. I was very impressed with Gordon and his honesty. He is to be commended, says a lot about him and his company! Recommending the flip lock was obviously of no financial benefit to him! After reading all the reviews i called Gordon and asked him to provide service to one of my Commercial costumers. I explained him that he will be charging me since he can not charge the costumer directly. I told him i would provide my credit card no matter what the bill will come out to. He rejected my service request and asked me :" what kind of a joke is it? I will only deal and charge the costumer itself ". I explained again that my customer is a nation wide company and all locksmith /Security work will go true me and he refused again this time being rood and hang up the phone. I am a service company myself in a different state and usually I will not write down a bad review on another company just because they mes up the first time. How ever in this case he was rood to begin with, and his costumer service is lousy. I do not understand what all the good reviews for when he is acting out and talks un-respectfully to costumers. Gordon - if u read those lines its your lost sins my costumer wants to spend money on new locks and keypads - its a big health insurance business. beside the initial installation he would need a locksmith to change his locks every now and then -so u just lost another commercial costumer.
