Been with Dr Chan for many years! I like how his practice is more integrative health and focus on the whole person and they are open to using alternative treatments of the patient wants. He helped my understand and get a handle on my hormone levels. Great staff overall! I can usually get in pretty quickly and the office staff and other practitioners are all great! I have been going to Dr Kevin Chan, now Pineapple Health, for over 10 years. The first 4-5 years I couldn't be happier with this office. The last 5 years I have been passed off to PAs and haven't seen Dr Chan at all. 2 years ago I went in for an issue I was having. Long story short, they have not addressed the original issue, yet continue to have me come in for blood tests for various other reasons and not address the original reason I came in. Can't even get Dr or PA to call to discuss what they didn't cover. I have to make an appointment to talk to them, wouldn't want to waste an opportunity to bill the insurance for an office visit. First off the front desk help is HORRIBLE! they need serious customer service training!! Evidently the complaints I have given the office manager haven't helped since I continue to get the same rude service from the front desk when I call in. Secondly...how many times does one have to go get blood drawn to get the results needed! I am so angry with this office that they sent my blood work out with someone elses info and now I have to go again and I do not recommend this office to anyone! They are horrible with getting back to you with results and they provide bad customer service. I have witnessed bad service as I waited for my own appointment with other patients checking in...you don't get a good morning or how are you today...just sign the paper give me your money now have a seat....HORRIBLE!!! I stand by my original review, but also want to add that if anyone questions the ethics of this practice just go to the bottom and read the yelp reviews that are not recommended. The practitioners at this practice wrote their own reviews (posed as patients) but were not clever enough to change their names. They will probably delete them soon enough, but come on Pineapple health really? Why don't you try and clean up your act instead of posting fake reviews? Gross! At first I was surprised to see the low ratings here. Boy, do I get it now. I too followed the providers from Forever Family Healthcare. I'll first say, the USED to have such a friendly staff. From getting appts same day or next, to check in, to the nurses. All great making me feel welcome and IMPORTANT to them, and never waiting long before I saw the lpn. Well, last two appointments, I noticed they were all gone. I asked weeks ago for my records, specifically asking for all records including those from Forever Family. I paid at that time. A couple weeks later, I was called in to discuss Brain MRI. I couldn't get into see Jennifer, for over a week, and my symptoms which led to the MRI and 4 others scared me, plus the fact that the front office girl made it sound I needed to get in sooner, scared me more. I went to see Kerri lpn (not Fedorick). First I had to pay the 80.00 I did question it, but accepted the "office" policy. When I met with Kerri, she showed me the MRI, I read, moderate chronic ischemic disease She explained it using heart artery blockage analogy. I asked her to clarify, and was talked to like a child. I asked about trigeminal nuerolgia which Jennifer thought was causing my extreme headaches (it's called the suicide desease for a reason) she didn't know, or know how hard it was to even shower which triggered another whole headpain. she tried to hand me a "how to lower cholesterol" pamplet. I tried to explain I have already lost 150lbs unitentially, had the best blood work in years, couldn't eat the foods suggested due to colitis (actually can't eat much at all) and I was told before to add salt to my diet, because my blood pressure constantly drops. She said, well she wants you to see a neurologist. I must have said something about cost of all this, because she said, "yeah Jennifer told me you didn't have insurance". Really?!? That's the important thing here? I try so hard not to cry, not to advocate too much, because I do have a mental disorder which I know can create a bias. I knew how long getting into a specialist is her answer "tell them your doctor said to get you in soon. Sure that works, no offer to help me get in. I did ask for a small amount of pain meds just until I got in. Nope, they don't treat cronic pain patients. I know that, I was med compliant with them for 2 years, weaned myself off too quickly (according to research based facts) dealt with the withdrawals. Would not go to PM. They don't like mental patients either, and have dealt with the pain just surviving praying someone would just care enough. I could not hold back tears. Then "take a walk, you'll feel better". I should have, let my dizziness, unsteadiness lead to another fall. I left stopping up front to find out about my records, there was nothing about the request or that I did pay. The girl upfront seemed new, said she'd check and get them. I just said thanks. After telling my mother's nurse she said you need to complain, get your money back. Asking if she even suggested anything (suppliment, baby aspirin) nope nothing. I just didn't want to be labeled "difficult" Then, I call about other MRIs was not asked to come in, just see a spine specialist, and an ortho, and I'll send you the copies. Okay, why the change in "policy"? I knew, heaven forbid I cried, I was labeled. Why am I sharing all this? Because I called to speak to office manager, I was asked why, I should have just said no, but I didn't, I tried to explain. The rudness, argumentative attitude I got! I have proof, off that call and my response. I could feel their desire to dump me (abandoment) I was told this office manager would return my call, she was on another line. No call. I had to drop by to get my records yesterday, again no proof I paid, I told her I had the receipt at home, could I just send a copy please? I guess she believed me then I looked at the tiny packet, asked her where the rest of them?. Oh, if you want records from your time with forever family their in storage. OMG...those were specifically what I needed. I've had to apply for disability, if the records they got sent are what I looked at, no wonder I got denied. Misinformation, no notes, wrong meds, and Just to add a bit of more salt to my wounds, a diagnosis of mental disorder I had to look up. Basically some lpn decided my grief over losing my dad after a 6 month agonizing death, was too much! I didn't realize you had a licensed psychatrist there. How dare you assume the appropriate amount of grief? I'm sharing all this in hopes to grab Dr. Chan's attention that I recognize what your trying to do and know all procedures you must take to not get an abandoment complaint. I know of cognitive bias and I know you promise to do no harm, includes mental torture too. read more

Had been a patient of this practice since Dr. Mark Hansen & Jennifer Austin were here. Went downhill since the focus on concierge care. Multiple emails a day about hormone replacement therapy and other goofy fad items. I just want a regular family practice for my one or twice a year visits when I'm sick. Final straw was finding out the NP I had been seeing was hired here after being fired from her last position and sanctioned by the AZ nursing board. Go elsewhere. read more

Doesn't seem like the doctors care about their patients. Especially Monica Jeffers. Wouldn't recommend this place, seems like doctors here have a stick up their butt, walk around so arrogant, and give you a fake smile. None the less, dont even help. They are on that stupid computer trying to get your information in, more than they are actually consulting you. Go somewhere else. I have being seeing Jonn'e Housh NP for 10 years and love her! Unfortunately, she moved to this new practice (Pineapple Health) about 2 years ago and things went downhill rapidly. She recommended hormone pellet therapy on 2/17/17 at the cost of $350 which Blue Cross did not pay for because it is considered experimental. She needed to check the hormone levels with a lab draw. This practice does not send you to a local lab but uses their own in office lab draw and sends the specimen to a out of state lab in Missouri. The reasoning is they think this out of state lab gives more accurate results. What they do not tell you is that 6 labs tests will cost you $1200. They did not tell me that I would be responsible for $1200 of lab tests, if I had known that, I would have refused. Not only did they test hormone levels, but about 5 other things that could have been done at a local lab. I was told by the office staff to "just ignore the bill because this lab does not have a collection department and they won't collect." After getting multiple bills and phone calls, the hospital lab assures me they do have a collections department. In my opinion, this office uses deception and misleading information to get their needs met and does not inform the patient of upfront costs of using their in office lab. The office staff just keep telling me to "not pay" the lab bill. My insurance won't pick up the cost either since the hormone therapy is considered experimental. RUN from this practice! It seems they care more about money than the patient! My husband has seen Jonn'e for 5 years and my 2 adult children have seen providers at this practice and now we are all looking for a new HONEST medical practice. This place used to be very well run and managed before they made some changes in the last several months. Rudest office staff, very long hold times on the phone just to try and make an appointment (or do anything for that matter). Never call you back when they say they will. Monica Jeffers was EXTREMELY rude and had the worst bedside manner. I've been a patient there for several years and have decided that no longer will I ever come back. My recent office visit was @ 2pm, I waited until 2:45 to be taken back to the room, and another 40 mins before the doctor ever came into the room. That is UNACCEPTABLE! read more

Like other reviewers here, I have been seeing Jonne Housh NP for years. I have had so much respect and appreciation for her because she listens and was always a true partner in my quest for good health, respecting my views and decisions. Since moving to Pineapple Health this partnership has changed significantly. It is clear this practice's priority is bio-identical hormones and other non-medical services. I am sure the management insists their practitioners support what seems to be their new core business, not their patients' wishes. I went in a couple of years ago on short notice because I had bronchitis, so I had to see Virginia Green for this condition...nothing else. She proceeded to spend most of MY appointment time pushing bio-identical hormones rather than discussing why I was actually there. I almost left the practice then. Fortunately, Jonne did not seem to be as affected by the sales environment and seemed to still care about our long standing relationship. For several years I have been doing regular blood work to manage my low thyroid every 6 months. I would schedule an appointment for my annual exam and at 6 months would do my regular blood work without having to waste my time and money on an office visit. I was told today that I have to come in every six months for follow up appointments for a thyroid condition we have been following successfully for years. The only reason for this "policy" is to collect money for an unnecessary office visit. I, like many of you, am an extremely busy person and don't have time to add extraneous appointments to my life. I am also conscious of minimizing how much I use my insurance. I am very disappointed and angry that this sales office wants to dictate my healthcare decisions. So unless an exception is made to their "office policy" I will sadly look for another PA who I hope has the same passion for patients Jonne had. read more
