I have been seeing Dr. Kerr for 18 years now. She is like going to see a wonderful country/farm doctor. The front office is nice but, you don't spend long there as she is always running on time (no waiting 45 minutes like other doctors). She sits down and listens to you. She asks all the right questions to help her understand. She then walks you through the options along with pros/cons (ranging from homeopathic to surgery) and helps you to decide on the right course for your situation. She also does bio-identical hormones and is a big believer in homeopathy, which I love. A couple of years ago, I moved from Ahwatukee out North but, I have kept Dr. Kerr as my primary care doctor as I couldn't imagine going to anyone else. She has such a calm wonderful manner and spends the time to truly understand your needs. In all the years that I have been seeing her, I have never had a bad experience with her. I went through the same thing Donna did and it was very frustrating. Dr. Kerr was friendly, but I felt she took no time at all to hear me out or address my concerns. I had to go back a 2nd time because the first time I mentioned some dry patches to them that they said just to put lotion on, well of course I was already doing that. So after they looked that over we talked about why else I was there. So the second time around I had to go back for my skin because it was getting worse and of course I waited there and waited to be seen my students which I did not prefer. Finally Dr. Kerr came in and barely listened to me and rushed me out. This has been about 5 months ago now, but I felt I had to write this review. She misdiagnosed me and my skin hasn't gotten any better. I am frustrated that I even had to pay for this pointless visit and will never go back. read more

Can I give a negative star instead? Absolutely horrible!!! I was going to be a new patient. On the day of the appointment (today) I was called by her office that she was ill and they needed to cancel my appointment. First, this should have been done with more than 3 hours notice and have an immediate follow up of next available option. This was not the case! I answered sounds like you just lost a new patient. And take a guess of the professional response I got from the lady? "Thats ok" click...she hung up on me. I never ever want to be treated like this by any business. Dr Kerr has been my family's Dr for 15 years. I would like to comment to Donna regarding the Med Students. 10 years ago, I took my son to approximately 7 Dr's and it was a Med Student Dr. Kerr had meet with us that figured out my son had Celiac Disease, long before anyone knew what Gluten free meant. My son had failure to thrive and was the smallest kid in his class in Middle School, she referred us to an amazing Gastroenterologist and Endocrinologist and my son is now 6' 1". Dr. Kerr is someone who always listens and her care has enabled me to find 2 cancers in early stage to the point where only surgery was required. Every specialist she has referred me to has also treated me with the same compassionate care. read more

Well the issue does not lie with Jill. I think Jill is a wonderful doctor and person, and her bedside manner seems very good. I can tell you the issue is in her front office. They are very unfriendly and actually down right rude. No information to help with accounts or refills and their overall office manager is rude as hell! They are not quick on refills and they do not know what is going on with your account. If you contact the office manager she just tells you to leave a message for the Rx people or billing people. So, she has no idea what is going on, might as well hire someone that is at least cordial and maybe even friendly to represent your office! You know someone with a smile that knows how to actually show their teeth! I will be finding a new doctor not because, of the issues with the doctor but because they are rude in the front office mad slow on response time. After reading some of the reviews, I'm in shock. I really like Dr. Kerr. Yes, she is not the friendliest or talkative person, but she's a good doctor. I don't mind seeng her student, because I know Dr. Kerr will talk to me after. I'm pretty sure the students will not make decisions without consulting with Dr. Kerr. The office staff greets you, they're friendly and don't have you wait in the lobby for a long time. If Dr. Kerr is behind they let you know, the girl in the front asked me if I wanted water. I was in the office 2 weeks ago. A polite young lady helped me. I went in 3 times the same day. Due to lack of information for my referrals. She was very patient with me and helped me with my referrals. Normally Joanne has me waiting, not for a long time. But maybe she's not experienced medically. But this time this young lady was able to help me. She gave me all the paper work. Not even an hour later I received a call from the cardiologist for my appointment. My first impression of Dr Kerr was she was friendly and easy to talk to, but that was just for the first establishing appointment. It went downhill after that. You are pushed to see a medical student and then they take forever to get your history, then they go out and relay everything you just said to Dr Kerr who then comes into the room with the med student and stands with her back against the door with her hand on the door knob. I kid you not! She listens while the student gives you the diagnosis or plan and interjects only if you ask and she is out the door before the student is done talking so you don't have a chance to ask her any questions. The first time this happened I thought well she must be really busy, but it has happened at EVERY appointment. I then learned that I had to say "WAIT I have a question" before she could escape the room. It is awful When you do that her answers are short and she answers with the door open so you feel rushed. You feel like you are wasting her time. It is very poor professionalism and I expect more from a doctor. Her office staff is horribly unorganized. I had asked several times for my prescription refills to be sent to my mail order pharmacy, but they never made it. Even after calling and going in to the office. I have been to this office 2 times and each time has been a joke. Most recent visit I went in with a UTI and severe back pain. Your visit primarily revolves around a medical student who asks you questions. Dr. Kerr eventually comes in hands you papers and walks out. Not only do you never actually get seen by the dr for an exam but she is rude and does not seem to care about her patients. I have multiple allergies to medications and had relayed that information to the student. I'm handed a prescription for sulfa which I am highly allergic to. My next concern are the medications safe for breastfeeding. I got a rude answer of you can stop breastfeeding or not take the antibiotics. That's not only unprofessional but rude. No one took the time to do a physical examination or even look at my back. Appointments are impossible to get here they are either closed or booked full though their clinic always seems relatively empty when I've gone. This primary care dr is a joke. If you want to be seen and not just shoved to a room asked a few questions and then rushed out the door. Go elsewhere. I have not been impressed at all. First I made an appointment as a new Patient and never seen her, only a student. I needed 2 referrals as I explained to the student I left and they never set up the referrals then I called and left 2 messages never got a call back. I made yet another apt and paid my co pay this time Dr. Kerr was on vacation so another Dr. seen me and I was able to get my re feral. Its been 3 weeks and 5 calls to the office to get my results. Finally made another apt to get the results and again paid pay my co pay. I am changing Dr's.. The front office is just as bad on 2 of the phone calls I was placed on hold and then hung up on as I was on hold, never even talking to a live person. Forget placing apt on line with them, they only call you to change it since that system doesn't work. read more

I've been going to Jill for years and well it's time to find another doctor. I thought it was me but after reading all these reviews I see she is the same with all her patients. Very sad. When I first started going to her she was great and then something changed over time. Maybe a lost passion for something she once loved? Medical students have taken over the office. My visit before last I gave him all of my information and nothing was relayed to the doctor. I had to quickly repeat myself when she came in for a split second. They are students. They are still learning. She should take the information given to her from them and then come in and talk to me - check me out herself to make sure their diagnosis is correct. But she doesn't follow-up with you at all. She goes off what they say, walks in to give you a prescription and she's gone. Yesterday when I told the medical student I'd prefer talking to her instead of him, he came back and said Jill wants me to ask you questions. I was very upset but complied only for her once again to come in with a prescription and leave. I had to go out and meet her to ask her questions. Both Me and My Wife Had Jill Kerr as Our Primary Doctor about 8 Years ago and Just Loved Her as Our Doctor and then Jill Kerr Moved to Florida , We were Looking for a New Doctor a Few months ago and Found out Jill Kerr Was Back in Phoenix . Both Me And My Wife Were Happy and Transferred all Medical Records over and signed up as New Patients. On The First Visit I thought it was Strange to See Medical Assistant and then another Med Student asking all kind of Questions and Going over Medical History and Then the Med Student Leaves and Jill Kerr Comes in for about 2 minutes With the Same Med Student hands Me a Bunch of Lab Work tests and walks out ....On The Second appointment , I thought I would Be Seeing Jill Kerr To go over Lab Test Results" WRONG " who I saw were another Couple of Med Students that in My Opinion did not have a Clue .....and Then Jill Kerr Came in The Room for about 1 Minute and that was My Final Straw ...Both Me and My Wife Could Not Wait to Find another Doctor ...Just in The Short 2 Appointments that I made They Managed to get Billing Errors...I Think They Should Tell You up Front that You See Numerous amount of Med Students instead of Seeing Who You Signed Up For Dr Jill Kerr and Avoiding the hassle of transferring over all medical records , Both Me And My Wife Were Extremely Disappointed in Jill Kerr The Second Time Around read more
