Wow!! If you come inside and check out this place and don't leave with a smile then you are on a diet, so don't come until you are on the cheat day. Crazy good cookies and baked goods. Amazing flavor combinations and what ever your favorite cookie is kicked up 2 notches. Friendly staff

Helpful service. Small but nice bake shop. The biscotti (lemon) is perfect. Tried the lemon bundt cake and it tasted wonderful as well. They also have a nice selection of cookies including some to take home and bake

I've had this place bookmarked for a while and the other day my husband sent me a Tik Tok of this place and I knew it was meant for me to go. First off, how freakin' adorable is this baking studio! I hate climbing stairs but it was so cute I didn't care at all! It's small in the front so I would be mindful of that. I knew what I wanted but as I stepped in I saw those Kesslerdoodle rice krispy treats and didn't mind if a diddly doo grabbed one! I also purchased a chocolate chip cookie for my niece, a peanut butter cookie for me, and a snickerdoodle for my husband. I got in the car and immediately opened the rice krispy. OMG okay the thing is huge. I mean you could eat off of it for 3 days. I did it in a few hours. It was so delicious. You can taste the love the owner pored into making that rice krispy. I wish I had bought two of them. I'm eating the peanut butter cookie as I'm writing this review and it is so good. You can taste the ingredients in her baked goods. It's not just sweet. I love that for us! I left this cookie out over night and it is still soft! I'm excited to try her other baked goods!

Hands down the best Bakery in the DFW if not the state of Texas! The owners are the best people you could ever meet. The presentation of the pastries is very nice. You can see the pride put into the bakery and their products. This place rivals with bakeries in Paris. Please go and patronize this establishment. It's wonderful!!! We'll definitely return for more! Often!

Bakery is near Methodist Dallas on Beckley Avenue. Parking available in the rear with curbside pickup parking for call in.

I can't believe we have been missing out! I rarely take Beckley from the Methodist Dallas Medical Center complex to my home after appointments. It seems like there's been construction for YEARS. But with that over, at least for now, I SAW you today. A sweets goods bakery! Amazing. First let me address the parking. Unless you bike or walk here; there's an alley parking lot or several well marked curbside spots for call in orders. Then you hike around the house to the front. Also, I didn't see a handicapped access. There is a back door; but it's not marked in any way for access and the front is all steep steps. They do deliver, however, and of course, there's curbside pickup. So Kessler Baking Studio has been there for 7 years! The Baker/owner was a 2020 James Beard semi-finalist nominee for Outstanding Baker. I won't go into everything he offers in all those incredible apothecary jars. There's a fabulous website for that! I do understand that on Saturdays, though, Baker Greenhouse offers Breakfast Sandwiches (on his homemade biscuits) along with cinnamon rolls and pop tarts and muffins and other assorted special items. Check it out. Huge cookies are $3. Enormous circular Blondies and Brownies are $6 - $9 depending on whether they have nuts (I think). There's biscotti and pecan shortbread in the shape of Texas and take home cookie dough. I have to confess that we ate parts of everything we purchased from this cornucopia of baker's confections, so there are no pics of those items. They were too tempting. We bought a giant Oatmeal Cream Pie for $5 - 2 oatmeal cookies with basically a vanilla buttercream frosting center. Rich! I had a terrific Lemon Snickerdoodle. My husband bought one of those soft super chocolatey Brownies and a White Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut Cookie. Gracious!! You have to pace yourself. Service was welcoming, helpful, informative and fun. We enjoyed our time in the store and although we don't live in the neighborhood, we will be back when we are.

Super cute shop! I discovered it when i downloaded the toogoodtogo app yesterday and got some discounted cookies! I got $18 worth of cookies (6) for $6 and i think they were maybe a day old? Im so excited to keep visiting this shop and cant believe i hadn't heard of them until yesterday. I asked if they had any gluten free goodies since my mom was flying in and they have 3 cookies and a rice krispy treat that are. I got my mom all three cookies and she has been really enjoying them! I tried the chocolate nutella one and it was super tasty!! Of the normal/day old cookies we tried the sprinkles one and the white chocolate macadamia one and they are both super tasty! Will definitely be back for more!!

Upscale, farm-to-table concept in the center of Bishop Arts!…read more My friend and I dined at Written and had a wonderful experience! The interior is modern with a rustic touch. Our server was very friendly and attentive! Drink: Spicy Hibiscus Margarita - Fruity and spicy all in one refreshing cocktail. 10/10! App: Butternut Squash Focaccia - So delicious! The focaccia was light and fluffy. The bits of balsamic soaked into the bread added just the right amount of tanginess. Mains: Kimchi Scallion Pancakes and Korean Glass Noodles - Both were packed with flavor and spice! I loved the chewiness of the pancakes and the savory kimchi. The noodles had a great bite and were perfectly coated in an umami sauce. Overall, everything was fantastic! Can't wait to come back, as they change their menu based on the seasons!

We dined at Written by the Seasons in Bishop Arts last night, and unfortunately the experience was…read moredisappointing. Things got off on the wrong foot when our server forgot my cocktail order and an appetizer which was the pork ribs. Minutes after ordering the cocktail, appetizer and a bottle of wine our server came back saying we needed to order every dish up front. At that moment we told them we do like to take our time and share dishes as they come out one by one and he honestly seemed happy to hear that. They then brought the wine but the cocktail was again completely forgotten. One of our other items showed up fist (kimchi pancakes), which I will say were great, but we then asked about the ribs and he confirmed he completely forgot about them. He said he put the ribs in as a rush and they would come out with one other dish. We said this would be fine, but not minutes after the ribs arrived all four other dishes showed up simultaneously. Our table was overcrowded, and it completely took away from the leisurely dining experience we were expecting. To make matters worse, two of the dishes--the baby carrots and the Korean glass noodles, were swimming in sauce, so much so we didn't want to eat them. While this may not be the case we felt rushed. We had received all of our food in less than an hour. The overall service made us feel like the restaurant was trying to turn the table as quickly as possible for the next reservation rather than provide a thoughtful dining experience. For a restaurant at this price point and pedigree, we expected much better pacing, attention to detail, and execution. Unfortunately, this visit fell well short of those expectations.

My…read morefavorites are the produce stands, the Mediterranean food, the yakitori stand, and the lady who sells bouquets. There are other vendors who come and go, but I frequently see beautiful handmade goods that make fantastic gifts. Another bonus is the food court indoors in the diagonally-adjacent block. Great place to meet friends and let everybody pick what they want to eat. On the last visit, I chose the pizza and was blown away by it. The Vietnamese place is a close second. The farmers market is hellishly hot midday in the summer, despite having a high shade structure. My biggest complaint, though, is the lack of parking. It continues to shrink yearly. Be prepared to spend some time looking for a parking space or possibly dropping a wad on a surface lot. I was shocked to pay $18.50 for a 2 1/2 hour visit. If you do use this expensive lot between the food hall and the restaurant, be prepared to utilize your phone to pay, and choose a short amount of time. You can always extend your visit with their app, but if you overestimate your length of stay, you can't get money back.

I had a…read moreterrible experience and honestly didn't feel a need to come back, but my mom wanted to come here for her birthday brunch yesterday so I thought why not give it a second chance. The other reviews are spot on in terms of lack of parking-- make sure you definitely give yourself enough time to park your car if you don't plan on using valet because Bishop Arts is honestly always busy no matter what day you go. This restaurant is a great photo op for the girlies! It's super beautiful and the decor just transports you to another place- you forget you're even in Dallas, it's so gorgeous. Our server only stopped by our table to take our food/ drink orders, but honestly, don't expect any great super over-the-top service here. It's nice and all, but no one seemed to be going above and beyond or even trying to provide a super memorable experience for their customers. I don't even remember our servers name. The food was good. We had ordered the Marinated Burrata ($18) with strawberry jelly/jam which was surprisingly a yummy combo. The sourdough was burnt though (lol) not "toasted" like described on the menu. For our mains, I got the Avocado Eggs Benedict ($19) and my mom got the Shrimp Salad ($24) and both were genuinely good! My mom's salad had a super refreshing vinaigrette ( perfect for a hot day outside! ) I was a little surprised to be honest, just based on my last experience. It was a nice time and the food was good. Restaurant and bathrooms seemed clean and organized. Service- don't expect much. Good place for a fun, cute, photo op brunch in Dallas.

The roads are very tight, and I ended up using valet, which is an added expense but probably the easiest option. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere transported you somewhere tropical. The décor is vibrant, colorful, and perfect for taking photos. While waiting for the rest of our party (our reservation was for 10 but we ended up with 8), the hostess kindly explained that we would be seated once everyone arrived and invited me to wait either at the outdoor high-top tables or inside at the bar. I chose outside so I could take pictures. While I was waiting, a manager (I believe his name was Gustavo) introduced himself and offered to make sure my mom received a complimentary birthday drink. That thoughtful gesture immediately stood out and set a welcoming tone for the evening. Once our full party arrived, we were seated promptly at our 6:30 reservation time. I'm very particular about cleanliness, so one thing immediately caught my attention. Although the table had been cleared, the seats still had food residue from the previous guests, and the floor beneath our table had not been swept. I asked our server, Chelsea, if it could be cleaned before we sat down. Unfortunately, the request seemed to be met with irritation rather than hospitality, and first impressions matter. The menu isn't large, but it offers enough variety without being overwhelming. Since it was our first visit, I asked for recommendations, but our server wasn't really able to guide us through the menu. As a kosher pescatarian, I ordered the Striped Sea Bass ($31) along with the Dreaming of Suze cocktail ($16). The cocktail was beautifully presented, although I requested light ice and received a full glass of ice instead. I also ordered tea, but it lacked flavor and tasted more like water. The sea bass itself left me wanting more. While there were two fillets, they were quite thin and served with the skin on. The highlight of the dish was actually the chickpea minestrone underneath the fish, which was flavorful and enjoyable. I don't mind paying premium prices for a meal, but I do expect the food to justify the cost, and this one simply didn't quite get there for me. Service also played a role in my overall rating. Our server was polite but fairly mediocre and lacked the warmth and personality that elevate a dining experience. With automatic gratuity added for larger parties, I couldn't help but feel that the service didn't reflect the required 20% tip. I always tip, but exceptional service should accompany exceptional gratuity. The reason this review is four stars instead of three is Gustavo. His attentiveness, kindness, and genuine care throughout the evening made a lasting impression. Before leaving, I made it a point to thank him personally because great hospitality deserves to be recognized. While Paradiso probably isn't a restaurant I'll return to because it doesn't align well with my dietary preferences, my mom thoroughly enjoyed celebrating her birthday there and said she would happily come back. If you're looking for a lively, tropical atmosphere with beautiful décor that's perfect for a girls' outing or celebration, Paradiso is certainly worth experiencing.

She identified herself as the manager and then physically stood in the restroom entryway, blocking access. Because of that refusal, the situation escalated unnecessarily. Instead of resolving it professionally, I was told to find another restroom, including being directed toward an alley. During this time, even paying customers who needed to use the restroom were unable to access it and appeared concerned about what was happening. Another staff member, who did not even understand the situation, then shouted "everybody get the fuck out" at us. I started calm, cooperative, and willing to pay, yet I was denied any reasonable solution and treated disrespectfully. This was handled poorly and completely unprofessionally. Management seriously needs to address how situations like this are handled and how customers are treated. Definitely didn't make it better considering I'm black
