Of course, it's the beer and its truly cool space (great outdoor seating, as well as a cozy bar inside) that make Rough Cut so special. There are always a good choice of IPAs. Here and there a beer might be a little kooky for my taste, but servers, always friendly and polite, by the way, give little samples, so you don't commit to a big beer outside your preference. However, to be honest, I've pretty loved all the beers I ever had there. Thank you, Rough Cut, for bringing life to Kerhonkson! Where would we be without you?

My one complaint is don't order the Korean Bbq. In no way is that Korean bbq. They toss it in a tomato base I'm like where is the gochujang? Where's the sesame oil? The gluten free soy sauce? Yeah it wasn't the flavor they called it but the wings over all were good so I still have them 5 stars! I recommend the Thai wings, they are fantastic!

We started with Drinks. I had the Martini Special for the 4th of July and my husband had a Apple Spritzer made with Champagne. We went out to dinner today for my birthday. We started with the crispy brussel sprouts appetizer. It is sooo good. We had the Pan Seared Chicken which came with Fresh sautéed Green Beans and Polenta. The polenta was served in a square. I liked it that way and it made it easy to dunk in the Mushroom Gravy that came with the Chicken. My Mom had the Pan Seated Chicken too but they accommodated her by making a separate gravy minus the butter and hers was served with Salad & French Fries. We also had the Steak Tacos and a Watermelon Salad which was also delicious. We ended with dessert which was a Rubard Lemon tart and Black Raspberry Ice Cream wth whipped cream and a cherry. We totally enjoyed ourselves. My Moms have been coming to this restaurant for years. They also have a outdoor area behind the main restaurant called The Hill whete they have live music. The Restaurant is very clean, there is stonework throught out. It has a very warm relaxing vibe to it. As walk through the doors you are Always Welcomed with a Smile. Our food came out and we asked for more drinks (soft drinks) and condiments and she never came back until we hunted her down for the check. Don't think we will be coming back.
