Very cool looking place, the ratings were good but it wasn't great for us. Staff was friendly. We got chicken and waffles, Blondie salad, and the B side hash and eggs. None of it was stellar. My hash while good flavor was very chewy. The chicken for the chicken and waffles were poor quality with lots of tendon pieces and fatty. We had a solid experience at B-Side Grill. We were looking for a place to get burgers and they have a pretty extensive menu. I got the hotel California burger and my husband got the cheeseburger. My burger had a bit too much of the mayo so was heavy and the beef could have had more flavor but it served its purpose! read more

Let's start with the food, honestly, the food was not that good but not terrible, some of my others friends had better dishes then me, I got the nachos and they were not very good. Next, the service, is one of the worst service I had ever received, we were together and paying separately, the lady took our orders and after she put the orders in, she told us that we had to pay altogether and she couldn't split it. We had to figure out a way to get all of the money into one bill, they also put many other extra expenses onto our bill. Also she threw the menus onto the table. The ambiance was a retro throughback to the late 60's to early 80's. Vinyl records and cassette on the walls and ceiling, record jackets, posters and other memorabilia throughout the restaurant. I started college in New Paltz in 2024. B-Side grill was the first place I ever sat down and had a meal. When you first walk in, you are met with the smell of delicious food and sound of great rock and roll hits playing above. There are records all across the ceiling, and the walls are decorated with posters, cds, more records, and paintings/pictures of musicians. The menu has a wide range of options from sandwiches to grilled cheese to burgers to breakfast for dinner. There is an entire page of vegan options. There are a variety of ice cream flavors, with the option to have a cone, milkshake, sundae, or more. The owner, Lou, puts in a ton of work here so that he can keep the prices low for the locals and the college students. In the back of the store you will find the gift shop with records, guitars, a vintage pac man machine to play, store merch, and more. All of the food I have eaten here is great. The service is amazing, and Lou makes the space a fun environment to be in. It's like dining in a local hard rock cafe! We stumbled upon this hip-looking local eatery after finishing a car repair project. Since we were doing "guy stuff" we passed on having healthy food and opted for the cardiac specials. I has two chili dogs with kraut and a side of fries. My friend has their take on a Philly cheese steak. The dogs were pretty good ... tasty but not as good as good my baseline dog, Nathan's. My friends cheese steak was rated really good and so huge that he took half home with him. The fries came pre salted. In my opinion, they had way too much NACL for my taste. I didn't finish mine - that almost never happens. My friend agreed but ate his. I liked this cool, hip little spot. While we ate, the placed filled up with lots of locals ... young and old alike. A friend who is a local was going to try to join us for lunch but was delayed. We arrived prior to opening and had a bit of a wait but it was so worth it!! We ordered the hash and eggs, all meat Benedict and the the meat jagger. ALL food was fabulous. The eggs on the Benedict were on point. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly for our taste. The home fried potatoes were cooked great (some saltier pieces than others) and seasoned as we like!!! Coffee was hot and refilled as we needed. This restaurant was packed today as the "competition" across the street was closed. The staff was able to keep on top of the crowd.
