We had dinner tonight at the Greek restaurant and we have eaten here before tonight's meal was excellent. We love the beet salad that they have and my husband had a grinder which was excellent and excellent fries with it. I had the spanakopita love the light flaky phyllo dough along with a spinach feta the service was excellent And we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They have excellent food and I would highly recommend to go to this place. As for the ambience, it's definitely a family restaurant. The noise level is high other than that. Was visiting from out of Town and my wife suggested Greek food for dinner. Arrived around 6pm and was seated immediately in an almost full dining room. Our waitress, Gizem, brought us water quickly and introduced herself. As the menu has authentic dishes I had some questions which Gizen answered before ordering. My wife ordered her usual gyro sandwich which came pretty good size. She was surprised the meat did not appear to come from a usual lamb/beef spit. I ordered a dish named patichio which is layered crumbled beef, penne noodle and a custard topping and then baked. I did not enjoy my meal. I wish there would have been a little more beef and less custard topping. Our service was good, atmosphere was nice, staff are friendly. Upon entry there are displays of Greek oils, sauces and such for sale as well as a nice display of desserts. We grabbed a couple desserts to take back to our hotel and a gallon of imported olive oil for home. There is sufficient on-site parking. If in area again this could be another stop. read more

It was a lucky coincidence that we discovered Kephi right across from our hotel because it was the best Greek food we've ever had! Lots of dishes that I had never tried before since most of the Greek restaurants near me are more the street food type, so I wanted to try the Kephi Tria with their meatballs, sausage, and spanakopita and they were all fantastic! My gyro fillings were generous and perfectly made (and proportioned, an important aspect in my opinion), and we also had the pasticchio which surprised me since I thought it would be more like lasagna with bechamel instead of tomato sauce from the description but it was much more flavorful and savory. The desserts were all delicious as well, my favorite being the orange cake which was incredibly moist with a fantastic orange flavor but the galaktoboureko and kataifi were both delicious as well in their own different ways, the galaktoboureko creamy and subtle and the kataifi sweet and nutty with a light and crispy texture. Kephi was a delicious spot to eat! We came on a Friday for lunch, and there were plenty of parking spaces and tables available. We had the melitzanosalata (eggplant dip) to start and it was fantastic! I'd recommend asking for additional pita, because we went through them pretty quick. It was so tasty, I wish it could be packaged in a tub and sold. For our entrees, we had the hot Dolmades and Kotopoulo Ladolemono. The chicken dish definitely felt like more a meal, since it came with potatoes and a side salad, however the dolmades were still delicious! The ground beef inside was still very hot once it came to the table. We planned on getting dessert after seeing the display case when we walked in, but were stuffed by the end of the meal! There were cakes sold by the slice, and lots of biscotti and pastries that were homemade. On my next visit, I'll be sure to get a piece of coconut cake! I wish there was a lunch menu. I dined at Kephi today for the first time, and it was outstanding! My neighbors have been raving about the restaurant for some time, and now I see why. I enjoyed the Kotopoulo Laddlemono, which comprises two lemon and herb chicken breasts accompanied by lemon and olive oil potatoes and chopped salad containing lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. The food was so good. Since I went for lunch, I brought home one of the two chicken breasts. My friends ordered the stuffed grape leaves, gyros, Greek salads, and soup. Everyone was quiet, as they were savoring every bite! For those who have room for dessert, Kephi offers a wide selection of tempting desserts in a glass refrigerated display case that spans several feet. The interior of the restaurant is comfortable with cool blues and greens and unique lighting fixtures. Seating also is comfortable. Service is friendly and courteous. As I was with friends, they provided separate checks and left the gratuity up to us to determine. I look forward to returning and bringing some more friends. With the Aberdeen Barn being packed, we took a chance on the Kephi Greek Kitchen. We were quite disappointed. The gyro meat was sopping with grease and the lamb shank was fatty, served with spaghetti noodles that had to have to come from a box at the grocery store. It was awful. First things first...it's in a good location - very accessible. The ambiance is nice/pleasant inside - and clean. The staff is friendly and tries to please. Now for the food...I had the grilled octopus which was very tasty. I am not a fan of arugula or the bean paste they served with it so I didn't touch that. Moussaka: the bechamel layer was not good at all - like a mouthful of flour. The eggplant had breading on it - I mentioned that and the server argued it didn't. But I scraped it off the pieces and there was hardly any real eggplant there. I hardly had meat filling that I could taste. More than 1/2 of this piece of moussaka was some type of carb - bread, bechamel floury something - definitely not a sauce - more of a paste - and last of all the potatoes. I wasn't loving it. The desserts look good, but I don't eat desserts, strictly speaking. Maybe I'll try it again with a different entree. read more

My wife and I dined at Kephi during our annual trip to Williamsburg. She is Greek, and this place is truly authentic. Our waiter, Gazim, was extremely friendly and professional.
