I literally went to the back of the store towards because it felt like the right area to go. No luck with that train of thought because there was nothing in this area. Surprisingly the area I needed to look in was exactly right inside the entrance to this store. After finally figuring this out, I stood in front of the items and tried to figure out which item would fit the model of iPad I had. It didn't help that they had the items in bulky theft deterring cases. I know why they had to put them in these, but it made it hard to figure out if each one of them would fit my iPad. It was quite the ordeal to pick up each one, attempt to read the backs of each and then switch up. It didn't help that I had a bag with me with items in it and I didn't want to put it down. What made matters worse here was the noise level. It was so loud that it was hard to concentrate. It was like I was in a frat house during a party. The music was so loud in here that you could hardly hear a thing. In fact, when I was asked if I needed help, I declined instead of having to yell my answers/questions to the store employee. When you thought the music was finally being turned down, the volume shot back up. I had enough of this and decided to leave. I ended up picking up my item elsewhere. A place that I wasn't in the middle of the rave.

    Our 17 year old washing machine needed to be replaced. We went to our small, local appliance repair…read moreand sales shop. They did not have what we were looking for so we reluctantly headed for Home Depot. On our way I realized we were practically going to pass Best Buy and on our last visit there I saw they had a fairly good size home appliance department. We stopped in and they didn't have a huge selection but they did have what we were looking for. Only small glitch during the buying experience was that we waited awhile and no sales person appeared. We asked at the help counter and they said they would send someone over. We waited some more still no salesperson so we were walking out the door when an employee ran over and said there was someone of the way. When our saleslady came we showed her two machines that we were interested in. She pointed out one had features we didn't need and was more expensive than the other model. Great, we had our washer picked out. As we were checking out our salesperson told us they could deliver it in two days. Wow. She also said they would initially give us a delivery time frame of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. but they would narrow it down before delivery day. Shortly after arriving home we received an email from our delivery "coordinator" saying our delivery time was 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. We noticed on the email was also a tracking button. When we checked it the delivery day there was a map with our home marked and a little truck showing where they were and a delivery time of 1:31. I got fascinated with this tracking feature and kept checking as the time would change as they got closer to us. Just as the tracker said they were 10 minutes away our phone rang and it was the delivery man confirming their arrival. They arrived just as promised and within 15 minutes had hauled the old washer out and set up the new washing machine. I have never had such a great experience with an appliance delivery before. I will definitely consider going back to Best Buy when I need to replace another appliance.

While I fully understand and respect the importance…read moreof loss prevention, being closely monitored by a police officer while shopping and having my receipt aggressively checked at the exit, when not all customers appeared to receive the same treatment, left me feeling uncomfortable and singled out rather than welcomed. A customer's skin color should not determine how they are treated. I made a legitimate purchase of Apple AirPods, yet the experience made me feel unfairly scrutinized. As a result, the product is being returned, and I will not be spending any more money at this location. To make matters worse, after escalating my concerns to Best Buy's executive team, I received a follow-up call that felt dismissive and failed to meaningfully address the issue. Customer service at this location has clearly declined. If this behavior continues, it is not surprising that customers will take their business elsewhere. Treatment like this does not belong in Silver Spring or anywhere else.
