Update: I just called hired Blue Star Plumbing for a second time and they were outstanding again!…read more They called me within 2 hours of submitting my request through my home warranty company. They were very accommodating to my schedule and we picked a good time. The technician arrived within the scheduled window and called 25 minutes ahead to let me know he's coming. The technician was very polite and courteous. I was extremely impressed with how quickly he completed the work. It took 15 minutes from the time he arrived to the time he left. He diagnosed the issue, turned off the water to the house, drained the lines, replaced an old worn out shut off valve behind the toilet, replaced a leaky fill valve inside the toilet, turned all the water back on, and checked everything. I was very amazing how he did all of this in just 15 minutes. He obviously knew what he was doing. Overall I'm extremely pleased with my both my calls to Blue Star Plumbing. I would highly recommend them!

Whole House Cast Iron Sewer Pipe Replacement/Reroute…read more If you have cast iron pipes, this is a frighteningly expensive job that all of us have to do, as they are all at the end of their lifespan. Not only is it expensive, but some companies do not use the correct parts, do not create the correct slope for drainage, destroy your irrigation or electrical wiring, do not pack the dirt back correctly, expect you to actually vacate your house for days on end, try to avoid city inspections....so many potential nightmares. I highly recommend Plumb E.R. in Forney. Jake is the nicest, most honest and helpful person, has a full-time digging team of 16 years, knows each city's requirements, and will pass inspection the first time, every time. They are incredibly fast to completion, always left us a useable bathroom and shower, and the entire process took less than a week with no need for us to leave. While replacing the sewer pipes, we also found yet another existing slab leak that had been going on for ages. Jake took it in stride, added an additional pex re-route through our attic (this was the only hot water that had not already been re-routed out of our slab), and very kindly fixed all the ancient 1976 leaky faucets and drains I had given up on so that we could actually use the master bathroom until we have it remodeled. What I thought would be a miserable experience was actually fast, correct the first time, well finished, and just a month later you can barely even tell anything was done in the yard at all. Jake's confidence and cheeriness kept us sane during the process, and it's amazing to have flawless drainage and peace of mind. Do yourself the favor of not requiring rework, and use Plumb E.R., you will not regret your choice.

Mark was very conscientious about his work and made sure that I understood the process. He worked hard and made sure that things were done right. The before and after was incredible. It was a big job, but they made it go as smooth as possible. I got three other quotes just to be sure that I understood what work had to be done and that I was getting a fair price. Although this job was expensive, this company definitely gave me a fair price for the work involved. They had the lowest quote and I was so happy that they were recommended to me.

Frank is the plumber we don't deserve!…read more We woke up on a Monday morning to discover our hot water heater leaking. I took the first part of the day off to try and fix it and was not able to after several trips to the hardware store for tools. It got late on me and I decided that I needed help. It was late though and I needed to go back to work from 4PM to 6PM. I reached out to Frank and he said he could come after 6PM. 6:15 rolls around and Frank calls to let me know he's waiting outside my house. It takes me 30 minutes to get home and there he was, waiting patiently. He finished up in about 20 minutes and was on his way. I am so happy with the Above and Beyond service I received. If you're in need of a plumber and, like me, are freaked out about finding the perfect person for the job, call Frank!

They made sure I had my water back on as soon as possible. That means a lot to me. They were respectful with my landscaping. They cleaned up everything and were very nice. No one wants to need plumbing work... so it comes with a bit of anxiety in general…read more I was referred to Koen by a good friend, and found them to be kind, efficient, and willing to explain any question I had. Originally needed them for tankless water heater descaling and valve repair. Then used them also for a leak in the slab that was a much bigger job. They kept the house clean, picked up after themselves, wore gloves (big deal IMO), and were there when they said they would, and did not tarry about. I've used various plumbers for remodels and would not hesitate to use Koen again based on the service I've recently received. I also found the pricing estimates given to be within reason and fair. Highly suggest to ask for Salvador, Mario or Angel when you call.

I can't speak exactly to the scheduling and pricing side of things because I worked with Randy…read moreStagg as more of a consult (another plumber brought him on on a complex issue he had not been able to figure out) than by hiring him directly. However, he was clearly extremely thoughtful in his troubleshooting approach and knowledgeable about not only plumbing but overall house construction. It's a powerful combination to have because he knows the end-to-end and understands how it all fits together, so he can advise even on things like how to lay a foundation optimally. He also walked around with me a little bit and commented on some other improvements that he would do if it were his house. These were things that he did not stand to make any money off of recommending to me but was simply advising as best practices, including some that would keep my kids safer, prevent water heater leaks, and give me a creative workaround to an issue I'm having with my shut off valve. So that guy is great and, since it's his company, I assume a solid reflection of the type of knowledge and experience he expects of and instills in the people he hires. I also see there are some reviews on here where people had issues with scheduling or other things, which obviously are important. But at the end of the day, I would rather have some scheduling issues but get a great person out than have somebody with less experience who is easier to schedule with. That's not to say that I think they have a habitual problem with this, just that I think it's important to prioritize what really counts. I think there are few people who are more knowledgeable than Stagg and would definitely recommend them, especially if you have something that's tougher to figure out.

Total cost of the job was $1000, which is high. Keep in mind, Randy is a master plumber and the dig crew did come back and put everything back the next day. They said the drain line was broken at the septic tank entrance, and recommended a complete septic line replacement at 4000.00. I gave them 50% (2000.00) to start to have the line dug up. I don't know if they were in a hurry or what but I hope it was not a sham. Such a simple thing to diagnose - check the tank 1st to see if it is full. I figured that out on my own, thank goodness! So what they convinced me to do was not needed at all - the septic tank was simply full and needed pumping. Cost me 2000.00 and tore up my yard for nothing. My yard was torn up and there remains a 6" high by 12 feet long mound that I guess I will have to level out on my own since you can't mow over it. I asked if there might some refund on my 2000.00, and the tech said he would check, but I never heard back from them. Unless I hear something ( it has been 6 months), I can't recommend this company.
