We had a bit of phone tag but eventually confirmed an appointment about 3 business days from my call. He worked on a broken shower pipe, hard to turn knob, washer pipe unable to drain, and a stuck backyard hose. The drain did require him to go onto the roof and he was successful in clearing the drain. He was onsite for about 3 hours and the price was reasonable and as expected. His estimate to install a new water heater that I needed was far less than other estimates, and for a namebrand heater. He didn't increase his price once he got here or after he was done. Solid guy. I was unable when he came over so I had my brother work with Michael when he arrived. We had an issue with our shower fader and unable to unscrew a retainer for our stem value. This has been one of the worst service experiences I can ever recall. Please STAY AWAY!! from this guy. He charged us almost $200 bucks for wrongly diagnosing a leak in our Ceiling. I ended up spending another $200 because of his incorrect diagnosis. After almost four months we are still suffering with the Leak I would avoid this guy at all costs. I used Michael Harrison twice this year. And I will keep using him! It all started with a leak! When I noticed it, I called the home warranty people to come out and fix it. Not only did that plumber do a bad job, they made the leak worst after 2 days. I did not want them back in my house! So I went on Yelp and looked up plumbers in the Plano area. I read the good reviews on Michael Harrison Plumbing and gave him a call. When I called the secretary she told me Michael will be in touch with me soon. Not 10 minutes later my phone was ringing. He came out that day and looked at my sink and told me that the plumber that worked on my sink had stripped the pipe down and that is why it was leaking again. Michael's recommendation was that I buy a new faucet and he did not charge me for that initial visit to come out and inspect my sink. He came back later on that day and installed it. My bathroom sink worked again without leaking. He was a life saver. A few months later my hot water heater leaked. (the joys of buying a house!) The home warranty company sent a 2 star yelp rated company out to my house. They listed all these upgrades I need to do for my hot water heater and I simply picked up the phone and called Michael. He came out again that day and told me that he has to go check the warehouse to see if he had a new hot water heater. After he left I thought I was going to have to go on with no hot water. But he called a few hours later and told me he has a hot water heater and he could put it in the same day. LIFE SAVER! A house without hot water makes for an interesting time. I called on a Saturday and left a message with the answering service. Mike called me right back. I asked him if he could provide an estimate for the freshwater line repipe of our house using pex since we have water leaks based on our post leak test after our foundation repair. Mike said he used to do repipe installs but not anymore. However, he took the time to guide and explain to me about the plumbing codes for City of Plano. Mike also went over the installation of the shower pan which is done by plumbers not tile installers for our bathrooms that has to meet the code requirements. Very knowledgeable and honest.
