We had our water main burst and Micah's Honest Plumbing lived up to the name. Not only did they do a good job, but Micah and Jenny kept us in the loop, shared what we needed to do, and were helpful in letting us know why the pipe burst. Jenny put my mind at ease and Micah was a solid plumber. They responded so quickly and got us buttoned up the same day. I know other plumbers have quoted next day service but Micah and Jenny made us a priority. I'll be sure to use them again in the future. Thanks Jenny and Micah for being high quality professionals! read more

This was the very best service experience I have ever received as a homeowner. I strongly suggest you us this plumber.

Micah and his wife Jennifer are helpful and honest. Prior to scheduling a visit, they make suggestions to resolve the problem on your own (if it's an easy fix), and if that doesn't work, then a visit is scheduled. They encourage you to purchase the item you need prior to the visit (with suggestions they provide). We've used Micah's for years and will continue to do so. read more

Extremely prompt! We are off to a really good start. The idea of a hot shower is exciting! Being able to wash dishes is another thing I'm looking forward to getting done. I know dishes. Didn't realize how important running HOT water was till I had to start camping inside my own house. I went 5 days without hot water and was having to boil water on the stove top. What a pain in the butt!I'm super stoked we got Michah's to replace the unit. He works a tag team operation, with his wife setting up the appointments. He's cheaper then the other 4 businesses we contacted for bids. He had the old unit drained, removed, and the new unit in, in 2 hours. That's skill. Michahs extremely transparent. That's awesome about a business. Ultimately, I have a great water heater, I can take hot showers and finally wash some dishes! He doesn't use business cards. He's all by word of mouth. Micah's really is built on honesty. I highly recommend this business. 2018/54 read more

On 8/9/2020 a pipe broke under a bathroom sink, flooding the room. We had moved to the area shortly before & hired Micah's based on a few local recommendations. Micah & his wife, Jennifer, came 8/10 & "repaired" the break. They were nice & we were relieved to have it fixed. On 8/27/20, that same plumbing "fix" failed again, drenching the cabinet underneath. I texted & left an urgent voicemail message asking them to come & fix it again. Jennifer said they were on an emergency call & couldn't come. I had outpatient surgery scheduled the next morning at 5:30am & their "repair" failed 2 weeks after their "fix". So I had surgery scheduled, standing water again in the bathroom, but she suggested I call another plumber to fix what they "repaired" 2 weeks before! Nice, caring, customer service- NOT! We mopped up the mess & my husband figured out a way to bypass the break. NO THANKS to Micah's! This is NOT a company I would recommend to anyone! I hesitated about posting a negative review for a local small business, but it is honest. Recent info- We had a clog in that same sink & contacted another local company, Auger Pros! I've used them several times since moving to Lucas & they are professional, caring and efficient. They actually said my husband's previous bypass was well done! Need a good plumbing company in our area- call Auger Pros! read more

After being recommended on my community's Facebook page, I called Micah's to request a visit to look at a faucet that wouldn't turn off (well, didn't like to turn off, but begrudgingly did). I received a call back from Jennifer, Micah's wife, who asked me to take a photo of the faucet so that the technician would know what part(s) to have on the truck when they visited. The next morning, I got a call back from Jill saying that she had received the picture, and that Micah believed that the repair could be done by myself! He discussed in detail what needed to be done (no tools, just manipulating the faucet handle) and assured me that there was no danger of the actual valve coming loose or the like ("you won't flood your house, don't worry"). He said that he felt that a service call for something like this was an unnecessary expense for such a simple repair. I went to the bathroom, followed his repair steps, and within 5 minutes, the faucet was working perfectly! Based on the repair tip that this company gave me FOR FREE over the phone, I was able to fix my issue. If ever there was a textbook definition for "honesty", this has to be it. Micah's Honest Plumbing will be my go-to plumber moving forward. Any company that will do something like this for a first time customer is a business that anyone should want to work with. Definitely give them a call if you're in the area and need plumbing work! read more

Micah did some work for me last night. The name of his business says it all. Some people, you don't know if you're getting a good deal. Micah is honest and a real professional. He fixed a leaking kitchen faucet, installed two shower heads, installed two toilet fixtures, tightened up a loose shower fixture, and taught me how to check the pump on my water heater. He didn't nickel and dime me. I paid a fair price and I'm very happy that I called him. The business is just Micah and his wife. He's in high demand, so if you get their answering machine, leave a message. You'll be glad you did. read more

Hey Jennifer, If any of what you say is true that sucks but it's not like they told us that on any of the number of times we tried to get help, but regardless it doesn't give them the right to treat customers poorly and just hope we understand something we aren't aware of. SMH! . We were just treated rudely with no explanation. Surely you can understand how that would be disappointing. But yeah blaming the unknowing customer is a great response and makes me stand by my original review that this business is one to avoid. They probably shouldn't let you address customer concerns as most would apologize and say this is why you were treated poorly instead of having a hostile reply to a customer concern. NICE! read more

Everything said in the previous reviews are true!! Micah and Jennifer are awesome! They were responsive, hard working and so down to earth, but I find their honesty in the way they conduct their business is what I appreciate the most. We are customers for life. read more

"Honest" in the name made me skeptical. My wife called them to get an appointment but I was the one to stay home for it. With my experience with people, I think the word "INTEGRITY" should be on the side of his truck. Micah was quick, efficient and thorough. He was also just the nicest guy. He walked me through the steps of a minor fix so I could do it on my own the next time. Wow, in a world where companies are trying to gouge others of every penny, he's helping others save. God bless them with a productive year and continue being a vessel for God. There still are good people oit there. Call him to work for you and you'll find out! read more

Honest plumbing could not be a more appropriate name for this business. Micah the owner gave ample notice to let us know that an emergency situation came up and he would be later than expected for our apt. When he arrived, he was friendly, courteous, and efficient. He fixed our bathroom plumbing in record time and was more than fair about pricing. Micah also took the time to answer a few questions for us regarding some cosmetic needs we had for our shower/tub. Our family will always reach out to Micah for our needs in the future. Thank you Sir! The Caldwell's read more

I needed a plumber to repair the leaking outdoor faucet of my home. I had a couple of bad experiences with a well known company you see around North Dallas but will not post their name here. I have to admit, the reviews for Micah's Honest Plumbing on Yelp were all favorable, which was pretty good. But my personal experience with companies that use words such as "reliable", "Honest", "Christian", or any other biblical references; turn out to be the opposite of what you would expect. So I was somewhat hesitant! I call and left a voice message, and received a return call within 10 minutes from Jennifer Cook. She was very polite, friendly, and was in not rush to get me off the phone. She was able to schedule my repair for the next day, which was 3 days sooner then any of the other plumbers I contacted. The guys arrived as scheduled and explained what they had planned to do. "This can be very simple, or somewhat complicated; depending on the pipes in your home". I was very lucky, because the repair was a basic replacement. My experience with Micah's was very simple, basic, good Ole school service. The kind of outstanding customer service you just don't see anymore !!! So check this out.........After payment was made, I mentioned a problem I was having in my bathroom. He understood that I had done a portion of the repair before, and offer tips on how to complete the repair myself. He did not try to sell me on more services..........and here's what was amazing. He went to his truck to show me what I needed from Home Depot or Lowes, and he said "Here...you can have this one, take it !!" I offered to pay for the new piece but he said...."No problem". Great Service, Great People, Great Company! If you have any plumbing need....call Jennifer, you will not be disappointed. read more

Super friendly and fast response. Micah's wife reached and was able to suggest some options I could do myself to fix the problem - which I did and it worked! This is wonderful service, putting people before profit. While her advice was free I plan to use Micah should I have a need arise that I can't do myself. Thank you and God Bless! read more

Micah came by and cleared up a blockage in our guest bathroom sinks today. He had to go through our attic to access the AC vent that was causing the backup so it wasn't particularly simple but he got it done without issue. He did a great job, worked efficiently and charged a very fair price. Another large company gave me a quote for almost 6 times as much for the same work (plus an extra trip charge) but luckily Micah's wife, Jennifer, got in touch with me before I committed to that job. I urge people to give Micah's Honest Plumbing a try when you're having plumbing problems! Thanks again! read more

Called these guys and scheduled an appointment based on their good reviews and they didn't bother to show up during the window they gave us or call us back. Very unprofessional. Update: Almost an hour after the window and less than ten minutes after I posted this review, I received a phone call from the business owner's wife letting me know that they were running late. When I told her that we scheduled someone else to come out she started getting very angry and told me that she is not perfect and she's not Jesus. I have never experienced anything this unprofessional and would not recommend this business to anyone. Perhaps Micah is great, but he should get someone else to handle his office and customer communication. read more

We have used Micah's Honest Plumbing several times. Last week the water heater went out and Micah was out the next day to fix it. We were given a quote over the phone but he gave us a discount because he didn't have to replace the water lines. Larger companies would not have done that. Highly recommend Micah's! read more

During the February 2021 freeze in Texas, it was almost impossible to get a plumber to repair a broken pipe and get my water back on. It took me 8 days without water and calls to at least 12 plumbers before I found Micah's. Even though they were working insanely long hours and were fully booked for days in advance, they came out late at night and got my water back on. They identified the cause of the leak as the result of some years earlier plumbing work that had been done incorrectly by the builder, so they did a temporary fix and promised to come back and reconfigure the pipeline and do the job right next week when things aren't so out-of-control in Texas. I am so grateful to have running water again, and be able to take a shower and flush toilets and wash dishes and clothes, etc.! I will be calling on Micah's for future plumbing work and highly recommend them. read more

Overall our experience was less than stellar. It began with Micah inspecting a home we were preparing to buy. He saw things that were in the initial inspection personally (I did not know this at the time because he was referred to us by our realtor, I didn't realize it was him who came to look at the plumbing bits) and later we called to have the issues serviced once we bought the home. When attempting to get this scheduled, there seemed to be no communication between he and Jenny (his wife). I spoke with her over the phone about the Items we needed repaired and they were in the inspection report. (After this, nearly every call by either myself or my wife was met with an answering machine) I emailed the report to her to which she said there were a few concerning issues that Micah would have to see personally. (This was was over the weekend) I asked if they were available that Monday and received a bit of unwarranted attitude. She said, "Monday's are the busiest days for us. If you could possibly convince our two customers without hot water since Friday to reschedule.Lol.... It would be later next week for sure." I ignored the passive aggressive tone and said I understand and asked when the soonest they would be available was, but later (once notified by my realtor) said that he already came and saw it personally. to which her reply was, "Awesome Then use that one." That was all she wrote. Again sensing some hostility I recapped, "OK, so that brings us back to the original topic. When can he come to perform the repairs?" We agreed on Friday at 10-12. My wife was the only one of the two of us available to unlock the new home and we currently live aprx 25 min away. And she is a stay at home mom with a 1 1/2 year old. She called to let Jenny know that she would be there about 10 min after 10am due to baby delay but left a message due to no answer. She waited for 30 min and called/emailed with no response. She left to go feed the baby and wait for a call letting her know he was on his way. At noon she called and Micah answered. He notified her that Jenny was ill and unable to attend the phone (which is acceptable). He also said he was attending a client who had an emergency (also very acceptable). My wife notified him that we live 25 min away and please call before getting there so she can unlock the door. At 3pm, Micah called to let her know that he had arrived at the house. She said she would be there in about 25 min, and he immediately disapproved of that answer and insisted we had to reschedule with Jenny. When my wife reminded him that she was sick and it will just go to voicemail, he responded with, "well I normally don't talk to the clients. She handles the clients and I do the work." She said she would call, and she also let him know she was very upset with how this day went. He said something along the lines of we should have moved in first before having repairs, which seems odd to us (he may have said this because he didn't want to wait 25 min for her). She reminded him that she asked him to call before he got there so she could drive over. He said, "I talk to 20 people a day and cant remember every conversation." He then suggested we take our business elsewhere. In a futile attempt, she called Jenny again to which it went to voicemail. So much for rescheduling. I will admit there are a few things that we do not fault them for. One being they could not have foreseen the emergency call or Jenny being sick. However the constant attitude from both Micah and Jenny along with the lack of communication between them was very off putting for a new customer. Also when confronted about the situation and unprofessionalism on their part, it seemed as if she was being blamed for living so far away and he was unapologetic. We don't want to play the, "customer is always right" card but we feel as if we were unjustly treated for events that we were not responsible for. read more

I found Micah's Honest Plumbing from a recommendation on my neighborhood Facebook page. I am so happy I made the call. Jenny, Micah's wife, answered my call and gave me more information than I could ask for. She was not only helpful but friendly. I felt like I was speaking to a good friend. Once Micah arrived, we talked through my issue and he fixed it quickly and replaced my kitchen faucet with a brand new one I had recently bought with no extra charges. Overall, I had a great experience with Micah's Honest Plumbing and will definitely recommend him to everyone in Collin County. Thank you Micah and Jenny! read more

Micah and his wife, Jenny are wonderful people who do amazing work (yes plumbing can be amazing!) The fact that Micah knows exactly what he is doing and does not cut corners is icing on the cake. I spoke with Jenny about a leaking faucet--after a description of the problem and a few quick pictures via text, she had figured out the problem and was ordering the part. Micah and his crew showed up on time, were polite and clean cut. He had to undo someone else's crappy attempt at fixing our faucet and then fix the leak. I could not be happier with the entire experience from my initial phone call to my fixed bath faucet. I will be using Micah's Honest Plumbing for all future needs. These guys are truly honest, hardworking people--very hard to find these days. read more

I needed a second opinion after trying another plumbing company who told me that I needed my living room jack hammered and my main sewer line repaired. They said roots had broken the pipes, that was Waterman Plumbing. Please do not use them. Use Micah's Honest Plumbing, they sent their camera man out and he went through a much more detailed process I found out there was absolutely nothing wrong with my pipes other than a normal clogged sink! There are zero roots, zero breaks in any part of my line. Not only that, I have NO pipes under my living room floor! So they would jackhammer my floor for nothing at Waterman!!! Thank GOD for Jennifer and Micah, they are truly honest and trustworthy. Bless them. read more

Micah made a service call for me on a Sunday! On a day when one of his kids was leaving for college. Phenomenal service, attitude & pricing. After diagnosing my issue as user error (ahem), he shows us how to fix it and then wouldn't accept payment. That's killer & unheard of. As a side note, I was a first-time customer, not a longtime client. We're about to remodel a bathroom & he's my go-to guy. I'm blown away & will not hesitate to recommend. read more

I would highly recommend Micah's Honest Plumbing for any plumbing work and would rate 6 stars if possible. They were prompt in returning phone calls and agreed to call before coming out so I could quickly come home from work vs waiting for a 4 hour window. I was unsure of the extent of the repairs needed but was provided a quick ballpark estimate after exchanging few text and picture messages (I had already opened up the wall). No other plumbing companies that were called before Micah's could come close to this level of service. I had a follow up issue a few weeks later that was completely unrelated to the first broken pipe. When Micah wasn't able to respond as quickly as initially thought due to a vehicle breakdown they came to my house after 8pm, long after others may have called it quits. He made quick work of the drain issue. Not only did he not try to charge after hours rates, he completed the quick repair at no charge because of the time we had to wait. Highly, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

This is an outstanding, family-owned plumbing business based in Allen. The owner/operator, Micah, is very customer oriented and clearly puts a priority on customer service at a fair price as exemplified by my recent experience. He responded promptly to our request for assistance with a plugged drain and quoted a fair price. He addressed the problem to our satisfaction. Later, we discovered another drain that was not flowing properly. After we called back to request additional help, he came that evening after hours and cleared what turned our to be a difficult blockage involving the other drain that we had not known about that day or explained to him. He refused our offer of additional payment for that extra service. What a refreshing experience in this era of over-priced, undependable home services! read more

If they had an option for 6 stars they would get it. We had shifty plumbing work done by J&K plumbing for a kitchen sink leak, after hearing from J&K that we broke the sink ourselves our warranty would not cover the repair. We finally called Micah's honest plumbing, Micah was in and out in no time and fixed the issue not only that he only charged us the amount we would have paid through our warranty. Now if that's not stand up service I don't know what is. Do yourself a favor and use Micah's honest plumbing for all your needs. read more

I rarely write reviews, but I am very happy to write this one. I had a shower issue where the hot water would no longer come on and I knew what part I needed, but knew I would need a plumber, I also had a toilet that was constantly running. I decided to try a local business since I saw all the great reviews. I was not disappointed. Micah was a little late for my appointment, but he was at a job that took a little longer than expected and it was actually no big deal to me, I was just worried I may have scheduled a different day by mistake. My problems all got fixed and I was very surprised that there was no charge, I will definitely use him again for all my plumbing needs and highly recommend them! read more

Micah truly helped us when we didn't know how bad our issue was. He came out on a Sunday afternoon and let us know how we needed to handle the situation until subcontractors could come out to do their part. He charged so much less than he could have, thank god, because who really expects to have a major leak, right? We are so grateful he was who we called. I can't recommend him highly enough. He was prompt, honest, and fair. read more

My story doesn't have a lot to do with plumbing, more with character. My truck broke down tonight on the side of the rode. A radiator hose busted and sprayed coolant all over the inside of my old freightliner truck. Micah stopped to help me. He took the time out of his day, likely on his way home to help me. Wouldn't take a dime from me. Just wanted to help me get back on the road. I wish the world was filled with Micah's. He's an honest, good dude. I'll turn to him and recommend him anytime without knowing a thing about his craftsmanship because guys like that are few and far between. read more

I recently had exemplary service from Micah's Honest Plumbing. I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service and -- most of all -- with the quality of the work. We had a slab leak and had already spoken with another plumber about options, but I wasn't confident I was being dealt with honestly. I left a msg for Micah late on a Friday afternoon, and his wife immediately called us back -- from the car -- while their family was traveling on vacation! She asked questions and relayed them to Micah while he was driving, requested photos and information to help them understand the extent of our issues here, and was able to reassure us that we'd be handled as soon as they returned. They then rented a camera to ensure that they were not bidding on this job without understanding the full scope of the issue, which is more than I can say for the other company we initially dealt with. They took care to share the camera views with us, drew diagrams to help us understand what work they would be performing, and they discussed the variables we were facing in great detail. They performed the work immediately, keeping us informed at every stage. Their excavators arrived the next day and were speedy and polite and so tidy! When they covered up the hole after the job was done they even spread fresh mulch so you couldn't even tell they had been there. I felt like Micah did exactly what was required at a fair and reasonable price, without "padding" his bill or his time with a bunch of fear-mongering extras the way the big franchise-owned plumbers often do. Truly I just felt like this small, family-owned business took excellent care of our plumbing, our property, and our budget. I can't recommend them highly enough, and they will be my first phone call the next time I need plumbing work of any kind. Contact them today -- you'll be glad you did! read more

The word "Honest" in the name of his company is just that, he was extremely honest in his assessment of our problem. I had a faucet in the kitchen that wasn't getting any water pressure. Micah came out and took it apart and found it was the cartridge. This type of honesty and customer service is refreshing! I will definitely use him again as well as recommend his services for anyone needing a plumber! Thank you! read more

I hate to be negative to a family man, but... he's good, nice, and competitively priced. However, if you need a plumber for a specific time/day, he can't always deliver. Since he's a one-man-band, he can't please the next customer waiting which isnt good if you're the one waiting... and waiting...and waiting... for a day or two. read more

Totally agree with the negative comments here regarding customer service. Expected great service from the positive reviews and company info appears to be exaggerated as well. First, you have to leave a message since they don't answer after many, many rings. But they did call back (hence 1 star) but I sensed a kinda disapproving tone. We just moved into a new house and had some plumbing issues so we figured a plumber would be a good way of taking care of a minor leak and at the same time get an overall assessment of the plumbing so we don't have any issues in the future. Phone call only made me feel like I'm wasting their time and mine because Micah is so busy and not worthy of my business because I was looking for affordability on a non-emergency situation. I was basically told that my inspectors and installers (which I had none, just my husband and I) should of been of better use. I wouldn't be seen for more than a week away if I still wanted service and then it would be $169/hour for Micah's time! Tell me who would say "Okay sure. I love that deal!?" They should have never called back or just tell me they can't come anytime soon. If I'm calling for your business it's because I suspect a plumber is needed, not to be convinced of the opposite. read more

We have worked with Micah and his wife for several years on various projects around our house. Recently, a relatively new water heater that he installed failed and began to leak from the top! We called after hours and Jenny dispatched Micah to come out immediately. Long story short, the heater's malfunction was a manufacturer's defect (still under warranty) but regardless, Micah came out and removed the unit, took it to the supply shop and had our new one installed next day. Oh, and they didn't even charge a service call or labor fee. We will always call Micah when in need and they keep getting our business because they stand by their work and get the job done right. Thanks for getting us back up and running Micah! read more

We used their services on a house we were putting on the market. Besides being extremely polite, they were honest in their assessment of our suddenly leaking and overflowing toilet. I have used Micah several times. He has been very reasonably priced, and has done excellent work. I live in NW Plano and had a hot water break below the slab. I wanted to find a plumbing company to fix the leak.
