I had been using AC Works for regular HVAC maintenance for the past couple of years. Unfortunately,…read moremy most recent experience has made me seriously question the service and, more importantly, the explanation I was given afterward. Within just a few hours of a scheduled maintenance visit, I noticed that my home was getting unusually hot. I went into the attic to check and found that one of my HVAC units was no longer working and that water was dripping in an area where it shouldn't have been. I immediately contacted AC Works. They returned, inspected the unit, and told me that the motor had failed. When I asked what could have caused it, I was told that a power surge had blown the motor. Fortunately, I have a Ting electrical monitoring device that continuously monitors electrical activity in my home. I checked the history for the period following the technician's visit, and there was no recorded power surge. Naturally, I questioned the explanation. The unit stopped working only hours after routine maintenance, and the stated reason did not appear consistent with the information available from my electrical monitoring system. I wanted to understand what actually happened. My intention in asking questions was not simply to assign blame. If something went wrong with the system, I need to understand the actual cause so that I can prevent the same failure from happening again. If the cause really was electrical, I would want to address that. If it was mechanical or related to something else, I would want to address that instead. Giving a homeowner an accurate explanation matters because it affects what corrective action should be taken. What disappointed me most was the response when I questioned the power-surge explanation. Instead of addressing my concern with a clear technical explanation, the conversation became defensive, and I was told that I was being rude. Equipment can fail, and mistakes can happen. I can accept that. What I find much harder to accept is an explanation that doesn't appear to match the available evidence, followed by defensiveness when a customer asks reasonable questions about it. After being a customer for a couple of years, I expected transparency and a professional explanation of what actually happened. I am still interested in understanding the true cause--not only because of what happened this time, but because I want to make sure it does not happen again.

We've used Legacy Plumbing before, and this job is a good example of why we keep going back…read more As part of a larger renovation we needed to relocate an existing natural gas valve at our fireplace and rebuild the under-sink piping to accommodate a new sink and a moved garbage disposal. Craig was our contact, with Nick assisting. During the quote, Craig laid out the options and told me honestly where each one would and wouldn't get me. He never talked down to me, and he also didn't just nod along to whatever I proposed in order to write a bigger invoice. He was clear that a gas line relocation is partly unknown until you open the wall, and rather than hiding that, he pointed to the exact line on the quote where a change would appear. While he was there for the estimate he also fixed a toilet issue in our master bath that had nothing to do with the job and had been annoying us for months. He arrived right in the middle of the scheduled window on work day. Once he could see inside how the wall was actually framed, he helped us change the target slightly so we got the outcome we wanted with less demolition and less money. When he realized he was missing a less common part for the sink rebuild, he found the part nearby, left, and came back quickly. The work is high quality. No leaks anywhere. Everything was left clean. He took the time to show us how to operate and adjust what he installed, especially the new gas valve. The final invoice had zero surprises and was adjusted fairly as the project changed, exactly as he'd described up front.

If you need your ducts cleaned, Dandy Duct Cleaning is the company you need!…read more After I went online and requested an appointment, Addison got in touch with me and came out to give me an estimate. He was professional and courteous while explaining the process, what he recommended, and what the next steps were. I appreciate his thoroughness and taking the time to hear my concerns. After approving the estimate, we scheduled the appointment. Carlos and Juan showed up early, which we really appreciated. They did a thorough job and finished the job on a large house well within the estimated 4~5 hours to complete the job. During the job, Derek showed up to check on the team and to inspect the HVAC for any potential problems. In our case, there is some additional work that should be done. I was happy to see an estimate come in quickly with pictures, recommendations, and an explanation of why the work was needed. This is a first class company and worth every penny! We considered other companies like Zerorez, which were certainly cheaper. Ultimately, we decided on Dandy Duct Cleaning because of their professionalism and commitment to a job well done.

Joshua was our plumber and he went above and beyond what we brought him out to the house to fix. We had a blocked drain and a slow drain in two bathrooms. Joshua, before running any water, told me what was wrong with the drains. He fixed both in a matter of minutes. While clearing the drain in our master bathroom, he noticed that the sinks water pressure was low. He took it upon himself to restore the water pressure to what it was supposed to be. While at the house, I thought I'd ask him about some other plumbing issues like a slow flushing toilet and weak water pressure in our shower. It took him maybe 15 minutes to fix both issues. Doing all of these things, the total repair cost was still less than what we were quoted by other plumbers just to fix the two sinks. I would confidently recommend Ingram Plumbing to anyone who has plumbing needs!!

Not only did they do a great job taking care of us at a very reasonable fee, they also gave us guidance on how to reduce costs (like purchase filters online and have them ready for the 6 month service calls). They have been outstanding in their ability to handle emergencies like the heat going out in the winter or the cooling failing in the summer. I have been very impressed with their reaction time and service. When we finally got to the point when we needed a new unit, they got us taken care of. We wanted to convert to gas for emergency heat. They did a great job of determining exactly what we needed and the replacement. We just finished the replacement of our other unit and it was more of the same - quotes lower than I expected, with very high quality service. The new system was installed just a couple of days after we accepted the quote - they made it happen even though it was raining and our gas line had to be extended. We have been doing business with them at least since 2019 as I found an invoice that old. I am grateful to Imperial Heating and Air Conditioning as I just don't have to worry about my heating and air conditioning - I know their number... Very highly recommended, high quality service at a very reasonable price - just a great value.
