Larry Reed was the sales guy who welcomed us and told us if we needed any more info to snap a picture of the unit # and he could provide more info. We had a couple of questions but answers came with no sales hustle. We have a larger camper but think we would enjoy a small, light camper for quick weekends or for extended trips through national parks where smaller is an advantage. Considering but not ready. Kennedale camper is a really good place to buy a camper. We purchased a 2018 Coachmen and were well pleased. The campers are all kept unlocked and make for an easy time to go from camper to camper without asking for permission to take a look. The prices are right on the front and make for a simple straightforward deal. The problem with Kennedale Camper is that they are very local and as such are very manual. Keep in mind to look at their website before you go because the organizing of the campers is based on memory with the staff. The paperwork process is also manual and can be a little tedious. The staff is friendly and the service to get our RV was very professional. Overall, I was very impressed with Kennedale campers and would buy from them again. If you are looking for a local down home place, I definitely recommend and you will have a 5 star experience. In searching we found Kennedale Camper Sales' a 2019 Motor Home the advertisement promised a laundry unit. We arrived and met Kody he toured us, we met our first disappointment: there was not a laundry unit in that 2019 motor home. Fret not however, we were told pay up $2200 plus $500 labors and tax to install the unit into the RV. We then gave Kody our credit card information to install a laundry unit. But, Kody informed us after few days waiting, unfortunately the installation was not possible, as there was no water nor electricity reserved. Mileage and wear are all things people consider when buying used vehicles, and so we did initially also consider purchasing a 2021 RV from another dealer as it still with a four-year warranty. At the same time, something about Kody really spoke to us: Despite the blazing summer sun when we met him, he worked hard to walked us through 5-6 motor home's functionality. We felt he had earned his sale. We were really touched when Kody talked to us about his daughter and talked with his daughter on phone in front of us, and how his ex-wife also spokes our language. We related to his hard work as a father and hoped that we could help him earn his commission, what else do we work for as parents if not for our children? We decided to purchase a 2016 Motor Home through Kody, adding on a three-year warranty with the dealer contributing $2000, we paid $2265 for the warranty. Before wired, we confirmed a few things with Kody: "If the RV broke down on road, would you still take care of the issues?" Kody said if we were close to the dealership and if it was normal wear and use, they would certainly help if it falls not more than a three-month period from the purchase date. He reiterated our trust and said that Kennedale Camper has been in business more than forty years since1974 with very positive client testimonials. On July18, we wired $92, 458.91 to Kennedale Camper Sales. However, once the funds were deposited, Kody's attitude immediately took a different turn. On the day of the test drive we drove for two blocks in Kennedale town before he stopped us and said that we were not allow to drive the RV onto the highway and he demanded turn back right away! In the test operating, they accused us of damaging the RV bracket system, exclaimed that the bracket system was now broken because the parking lot surface was not even. I wondered why they did not alert me to this before I operated it? They should be familiar with the parking lot of their dealership. They informed me that it costed their $500 to fix the damaged. I felt uneasy as I drove the RV out of the dealership. When we were not to 200 miles away and as we were departing to Portland, I noticed that the entry power step broken. When we detached our vehicle behind the RV, the power plug was not power. When we want to use the appliances, the gas oven was not works when we need to use the laundry, it was stop without finish the cycle, the electrical in the passenger seat with not power, and the electrical line in the RV did not work at all. We contacted Kody, Kody sent over a business card of United RV Center. The RV had barely been driven 200 miles in less than a month and was full of issues. Kody said the issues arose after I went to United RV Center where he told us to go. He then gave me the warranty company's contact and ignored anything else we said. We contacted the manager Jennifer at the dealership, but they were all ignored. We contacted the Better Business Bureau to get their advice and assistance. Kennedale Camper Sales finally responded and said that the issues arose because of our English. Everything had been explained to us yet they had to pay $500 to repair the RV bracket. We am not sure what we have purchased from Kennedale Camper Sales at this point. We trusted Kody wand purchased from him. Yet it broke down less than 200 miles in less than a month. We was effectively not considered clients of Kennedale as soon as they pocketed the money? Once we returned to Portland, we proceeded to work on filing our vehicle titles. The DMV officer advised us that the documents provided by Kennedale Camper Sales were incomplete, as a result title of the RV could not be transferred over. We called Jennifer's phone number in DMV office, A lady responded and revealed that the RV was obtained through auction at low price and that is their business confidential, I told her that we were not interested in knowing the sale price of the RV, we were simply need the title transfer and legally registered. I asked her transfer the documents over to DMV directly so that the title transfer can be done, Other than phone call, we text message to Kody's and Jennifer's phones requiring the title transfer documents including the DMV's envelope and officer's handwriting document list. Got me a super big lemon here, but paid top dollar. Pass this place over. It was a mistake to trust this place. Rv is unusable and will cost a lot to fix. I didn't ask you to buy it back, I asked to trade it in. If a non working ac unit, hole in the roof with rotted wood, broken rear bumper welds pass inspection. Than I stand by my pass this place over comment. I contacted you within a month of purchasing this trailer. Considering it has just now been a year since I purchased it and this review was written 8 months ago. The ac I was able to replace for $800 dollars. The bumper, I got welded for free. The holes were patched and the rotted wood was left for now cost of about $100. So you can strike the unusable and decide on the cost a lot to fix. read more

I bought my pre-owned pop up earlier this year. It's a great pop up, the techs make sure everything is working before it rolls off the lot. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. We have had a few snafu's and hiccups since owning it, the majority have been owner ignorance. But every time we have brought it in or called, Shane (one of the techs) has looked at it and/or returned our phone calls and solved our problems. About a year ago I bought a older, used RV from these folks for about 20k after taxes, etc. my issues are pretty simple: 1.) I was displeased to have to almost beg to get sales service of any kind. No one could answer questions about the unit as it was 'recently brought in' and they didn't know much about it. the attitude was basically that of 'you aren't buying new, eff you!' That being said, they charged me TOP dollar for this unit and did ALOT of belly aching about how much money they are losing, etc. on and on with this whining about losing so much cash already and this is the price, etc. I noticed steering was a little loose and I asked about it. they said they do me a special favor and have the mechanic next door 'look at it' but this was uncommon for them to do this and it was a favor to me. they assured me that he did and that it 'checked it out'. In truth, it was not ok at all. A few weeks and about 2k later I learned the truth and had to have the rebuilt steering box rebuilt and re installed so the thing will drive a relatively straight line now. No worries, I bought a used, as is camper and used things have issues even though they claimed they had it looked at. now that I know a thing of 2 about this coach, I can tell you that they never had it checked or their 'checked it out' person is the worst mechanic ever. 2.) They lied about everything. when I got the RV I looked in drawers and cabinets and found massive documentation from the previous owners. I called them and had a nice chat about 'Bertha' as they called it. it turns out bertha was traded in for approximately 4k and that person bought new. I paid about 20k when all was out the door and they were acting like I was taking food off of their table. this came from the TOP DOWN from the owner/management level to sales team to the check out guy. When I found safety things to correct (lights not working, etc.) it was like I was the jerk for pointing out that the coach was missing critical parking lights, etc. and while it was fixed, the hassle and sheer inconvenience that it appeared to put them through seem excruciating to the staff. I prefer my sales and support folks to act like grown up people, not make the customer feel like a jerk who has the audacity to ask for a nav/running light bulb to work before taking the thing on the open road. 3.) the FINAL STRAW which has me NEVER using this place again. At the lot I asked about the sensor indicator showing full but I was given multiple assurances that all new and used RV sales do not cover sensors because they all misread. I've learned that this is true if you're nasty and don't flush your tanks whereas if you keep up with it, they work great. Regardless, that was what they told me. Sadly in this case the sensors were working perfectly. it was the 50 gallons of FECES that was throwing the sensor off. Upon getting home I was saddened to discover the COMPLETELY FULL BLACK TANK! I never thought to look down into the tank via the toilet!!! If I had I would have noticed the plethora of FECES that awaited me and had it addressed! I feel that it was the final straw for me starting with a crappy sales, delivery and post delivery experience. to find 50 gallons of feces only confirmed what I was feeling of being a terrible mistake to do business with these folks. I feel that RV business in general is this way but this particular business seems to have zero issue making your hard earned green money is dirty and that you aren't good enough for the 'full service' experience because you aren't buying new and the 'We aint makin any money on this thing' attitude which repeated over and over again from sales to delivery. Anyway, its taken me almost a year to be able to write due to work taking priority but I'm glad to complete it and I hope it helps someone avoid being treated as 'second class' due to their choice to purchase used. read more

This is my second time to purchase from K.C. and Jennifer and Andy are nothing short of amazing,.. The first time I bought was in 2013, and purchased a 29 foot bumper pull "ToyBox" it was and is a good unit, BUT we outgrew it, at first I was looking used, and it just wouldn't work. Andy through this was very patient, and Jennifer is very good at what she does and zero B.S. we decided on a 2019 replacement and went to a 5th wheel. we are stoked to be getting it in just a couple days. I will say this, Andy spent a LOT of time w/ us and NO pressure, and Jennifer said here is what we can do. I will admit I went to a Johnny on the spot place to "Look" before we decided on new, and we were Lied to more times than I have fingers on one hand, Don't ever go to a place before checking them out or at least go to someone you have done business with in the past. we were told monthly, on this new unit and it was on point, go take time and see a shop owned like a mom and pop shop. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever witnessed. First off, when a customer has driven close to 2 hours to visit your location and new at looking at campers you don't just send them off into your lot to go "look" at your campers. The sales rep had no concept of trailers on their lot that would fit our need of sleeping 10 people. Literally said to go look around until you find one. Secondly when it's cold and wet, you don't send your customers off while you go park your behind in your warm office building and say you will come check on us. Lastly, when you do come check on your customers it needs to be because you care about wanting to sell them a camper not because your pitiful owner is ready to close shop an hour early because it's cold and wet, which by the way happened. The rep came and chased us down in his golf cart and said we had to leave because the owner wanted to close shop. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! It was a great teaching moment for my 13 year old on how not to run a business. Your customers should ALWAYS come first. Just pitiful. read more

Terry Bird assisted me in my decision making by asking a number of questions, like when do you plan to do the majority of your camping, do you have specific parts of the country you want to travel to, what type of tow vechile do you plan to pull your trailer with. During my entire experience with Kennedale, not once was Terry trying to "sell" me a trailer, he was there to educate me, to honestly answer my questions and allow me to buy the trailer I wanted - with no pressure. I tried looking at "for sale by owner" trailers and the hassle was not worth the effort, I tried other dealers and they would never listen to what I was saying, only what they wanted to push onto me. I finally did a little research and found two dealers I wanted to do business with, I visited the first and left, I then went to Kennedale where I bought my trailer. These Guys are Awesome. I just bought 2017 32 Foot Trailer and Ken Bent was my salesman and he answered every question we had. Tired to give us discounts where he could. Made great suggestion that helped take trailer back to Austin TX. Ken was awesome. Shane was Service Person took me and the wife through the trailer showed us all of the the little things and the big things setup the trailer for towing back to Austin. Showed us step by step what was needed done and emphases the really important items. Very patient with us this was our 1st trailer. We called the night before in regards to a camper we saw online and was told it was on the lot. We received a call the next morning to make sure we were coming to see it and was told it was still on the lot and ready for viewing. We had to drive over an hour to get this to this location and about 10 minutes before our arrival we get another call from a salesman saying sorry now we can't find it. We get there thinking that maybe they just moved it aside for us; however, we were incorrect. We get there and a lady inside said oh we sold it 2 weeks ago. So not only did 2 salesman tell us that it was on the lot and available, but both salesman never actually looked. What makes it worse is it still shows available online. When I mentioned this they told me it takes 2 weeks to be removed from the website which everyone knows is not correct. I do not like doing business with companies that pull the whole bait and switch. I would NEVER recommend this company as they say they have inventory just to get you in the door and then tell you oops it was sold weeks ago - how about a more expensive trailer. read more
