We hired someone to transport (not one of their 3rd party transporters) and inspect the unit for us and he was able to point out EVERY cockroach to Luis. To which Luis responded that "one or two cockroaches are normal to have in units" maybe his normal, but not mine! The unit was missing the ac capacitor, yet they said they "fixed" the unit up. They are rude, and shady. Luis & the owner lack customer service skills. Luis only wanted to stand there and argue with us and our hired help to transport & inspect the unit. I guess there is a reason just about EVERY transporter in DFW H.A.T.E.S these people. The unit we were going to purchase was the 2017 Prowler 30LX. He found a really nice one for us. We knew that it had some water damage but was advise that they could fix it for us. Then he stopped returning text messages and phone calls. He finally responded that there was an issue with the unit. When I ask what the issues were no response. Finally my husband called he then said that it was a salvage title. Well I had taken pictures of it and I had a picture with the vin number. There is no salvage title. My guess it was sold to someone that he could make more money off of.

So I bought 2 springs (Trailer Plus said they didn't have any in stock and it would take a couple of weeks to get them) after bringing it in expecting a break on installing the springs and telling them they were bad. I was informed I was over weight, I told them i was not, total weight was 5,000 (each spring had a weight of 2500 lbs, totaling $5,000. They quoted me $350 labor to put on springs. So I bought a 2nd spring and took it to them on a Tues . They informed me that their tractor (Kabota) could not lift the trailer and that I had over 5,000 lbs in the trailer, I assured them it was around 2,000. They said no way and they didn't want to assume liability because I was over weight and for me to take it to some one else and I did. I took it across the Hwy to C&S Trailer and they installed them for $125.00 and it was ready in 2 hours ( not 2 days Trailer Plus quoted me. The next day I took my trailer to a weight station, 1900 lbs of weight in my trailer. I took the paper work to them and showed them, then they started to inform me the weight was disproportionate, I told them that in the beginning. When I purchased the trailer I took it back for a warranty check to replace a light and something else. They gave me an estimate of work that needed to be done totaling $2500 ( new brakes, all new wheel bearings and a bent axle. I told them if I need all that work done on a year old trailer, then it was a piece of crap. I can agree they were the best price, but u pay for what u get a piece of crap.

Fast forward 10 months and about 200 miles later, my RV was parked at a gliderport in Midlothian, when a thunderstorm with 25 knot wind gusts blew 2/3rd of the roof completely off. On contacting MHSRV, their Service Manager told me that they only warranty their work for 90 days! Needless to say, I did not take the motorhome back to them so that they could charge me another $19,100 to do another sub-par job. The shop I did end up taking it to, Quality RV Solutions, also in Alvarado, upon disassembly of the damaged roof, discovered that MHSRV had simply put the roof they installed over the top of the old roof, without any bonding between the two roofs, nor between the 'Luan' (thin plywood sublayer) and the fiberglass cap. Winnebago specifies the use of 'Red Glue' (Dorus S 563 Adhesive) to bond the fiberglass to the Luan. What MHSRV apparently did instead was pour ordinary rubber contact cement on top the Luan and put the fiberglass down on top of it; instead of applying it onto both sides, allowing it to dry, then pressing them together - as contact cement directions call for. All that was holding the 'new' roof on was screws and a bead of RTV around the periphery; this is why it blew off in a mere 25 knot breeze. I'm glad this didn't happen out on the highway at 75 mph with cars following me. Motor Home Specialists talked a good game, took their sweet time and charged handsomely for their work; sadly it was incompetently done and when it failed they would not stand behind it. I recommend staying well clear of Motor Home Specialists; I will be taking them to court.

The day we stopped by this location was short handed because of a RV show in Dallas. Went out of their way to find someone to help us and made sure we had an employee with us to show what we had come in for. It was a great team effort for those that were there. First to help was Amanda the Service Mgr which was nice because could answer more technical and maintenance type questions. When she had to take care of something in maint., Franny who is in sales showed up to show us rest of what we came to look at. At one point a service tech was called out to answer a question. Settled on a used 5th wheel which was in good shape but had a few things we wanted fixed and they even noticed a few items. Made a detailed list of items and had a call after we left for any clarifications, anything we thought of later or may have left off the list. Had grandkids with us on one visit back to look at camper again and start the deal in progress. Sheila did an awesome job of helping keep the gkids occupied by coloring with them so wife and I could devote time to taking care of business. Spoke with a tech and several others in service and parts about a hitch. Went through several and with their information was able to make the best decision for us. Ramon in finance was very nice and enjoyed talking with him while finishing paperwork. Franny was with us through the delivery process and went through everything on the list to make sure was done to our liking. Got a good walk through with a tech who was able to explain things about the camper and answer questions. Tech who installed the hitch came out went through the process of hooking up the camper and explained well how to unhook. All during this time Franny had cleaner and a towel and was touching up a few things and made the camper sparkle like a new one. To me, this Holiday World location has a great team that works together and keeps the customer in mind. This is our fourth camper and wished we had come here for the 3 previous ones because Holiday World was that much better of an experience. When time to get another one hope that Franny is still there as well as the rest of the team. Don't typically give 5 stars unless absolutely deserve it and for my experience with Holiday World they earned and deserve it.

They each time I call, agree it has taken way too long and will get it done immediately to no avail. We paid for a fairly high priced super c coach with promises to be taken care of within 3 weeks. The parts department guys came in to measure the sofa that was to be changed out, took pictures of the color and was told it was ordered the day we picked up the unit. 2 weeks later with all kinds of questions so they could get the sofa ordered. It was never ordered. When it did come in, it was dark chocolate brown and our unit is more of a light tan. After more run around and excuses they ordered another one. Same issue. 4 and a half months later they will not answer my calls but do usually eventually call me back with no resolution. If you buy from this bunch, make sure the unit is 100% as you want it because they are not likely to fix any issues with it.
