We hired someone to transport (not one of their 3rd party transporters) and inspect the unit for us and he was able to point out EVERY cockroach to Luis. To which Luis responded that "one or two cockroaches are normal to have in units" maybe his normal, but not mine! The unit was missing the ac capacitor, yet they said they "fixed" the unit up. They are rude, and shady. Luis & the owner lack customer service skills. Luis only wanted to stand there and argue with us and our hired help to transport & inspect the unit. I guess there is a reason just about EVERY transporter in DFW H.A.T.E.S these people. The unit we were going to purchase was the 2017 Prowler 30LX. He found a really nice one for us. We knew that it had some water damage but was advise that they could fix it for us. Then he stopped returning text messages and phone calls. He finally responded that there was an issue with the unit. When I ask what the issues were no response. Finally my husband called he then said that it was a salvage title. Well I had taken pictures of it and I had a picture with the vin number. There is no salvage title. My guess it was sold to someone that he could make more money off of.

We've been customers of Trailers Plus for six years, have bought two trailers from them, and have…read morehad repair work done with them numerous times. Up until this year, we've been very happy customers. We've referred customers to them. We haven't even LOOKED anywhere else for our trailer needs. But that all changed this year. In February, I ran over a large piece of tire and it kicked it up and caused damage to the stone guard and a panel on my trailer. I called Trailers Plus to get a quote and schedule a repair. They had me text pictures. The next day, I still didn't have a response, so I texted again. I had to leave town for another show. When I got back a week later, I still hadn't heard back, so I called and emailed. I had to leave town for another show. When I got back (two weeks after the first contact), I called again. They sent a quote and told me that it would take a week or two to get the parts, and less than a day to repair. Two weeks later, I hadn't heard back so I emailed and called for an update. They still said the part was due in soon, and I was welcome to bring the trailer in and drop it off. I dropped the trailer off a few days later and left it there for two weeks. I made it very clear when I would need it back, and they assured me that it wouldn't be a problem. On the day before my next trip, I went to pick up the trailer. It wasn't ready. They still didn't have the stone guard. And the manager told me that the repair guy no longer worked there, and that they had no way of repairing it anymore. This was SIX WEEKS after I initially contacted them, and a full month after getting a quote. I started researching alternatives, but had a hard time finding any place to repair it. Carry On (the manufacturer) was no help. They won't sell to consumers (nor to most trailer repair companies). I was out of town a lot, tied down with big projects, and unable to pursue it. In August, I contacted them again and was pleased to find that they had a new repair guy (and a new manager). They would now be able to repair it. But the process had changed. They would send me a form that I had to fill out and fax back. Their call center would call me to collect a 50% deposit on the parts. Then they would order the parts and schedule the repair. It turned out much more complex than that. I had to call multiple times to get the form sent. Then I had to call multiple times before their call center called me. The cost of the stone guard more than doubled from my February quote to my August one. I was told 1-2 weeks to get the stone guard. After a couple weeks, they told me that the stone guard would be in the following Thursday. I was going to be out of town, so I scheduled the repair for the Tuesday after that. I showed up on Tuesday, my one day back in town between trips, when I'm under a lot of pressure to get everything done before I leave again. Except I didn't realize they didn't open until 11am. So I waited a while, then ran an errand nearby, returning a little after 11am. When I went in, the manager was watching what appeared to be a company webcast about customer service. (Oh, the irony.) I had to wait. Finally, the service tech came out and wanted to go outside to look at the trailer. I walked out with him, and he told me that they didn't have the part yet. I WAS FURIOUS! I've been dealing with this for SEVEN MONTHS, had made multiple trips in, had left the trailer for two weeks, had dealt with two service techs and two managers, had wasted HOURS trying to get it resolved, had jumped through their hoops to get the order placed a second time, had an appointment, and they couldn't even let me know that the part wasn't there before I wasted yet another trip in. I lost my temper. I raised my voice. I told them how ridiculous it was, and everything I had been through. The manager got upset with me as well, and told me I couldn't treat his employees that way. If they're going to treat customers this poorly, they REALLY need to get customer service de-escalation training, because the manager only inflamed the situation. I went home, fuming. The next day, after I had cooled down, I talked again with the manager. I apologized for losing my temper and made it clear that I wanted to go forward with the repair. I was told that the part would be in the following Thursday. Thursday came and went, and no call. I called the manager again, and he said that his boss wasn't sure he wanted to do business with me anymore, but that he would talk to him. I called back again about a week later to find out what the status was. He said that he had cancelled the order, and that they would no longer do business with me. They may have cancelled the order, but they didn't refund the deposit on the parts. I had to dispute the charges with my credit card company. I called the corporate offices to let them know about the situation. They weren't interested. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH TRAILERS PLUS AGAIN!

I spoke with the salesman that stated the R/v was still for sale; we scheduled a meeting for the next day Friday May 29th. We met with the salesman at their location who got us in the golf cart and drove us to the very back of the property where there were only 5-6 R/V's. The R/V looked super nice, good sounding engine with low milage and generator with low hours. The A/C's stopped when on batteries, they were replaced. The salesman and Management even pushed 3 warranties, after turning them down they offered all 3 of them for one lower price. It seems that the warranties cover everything but the chassis. The sale was complete and when I drove off the lot I realized I just purchased a dangerous and highly UNSAFE vehicle, the steering system was uncontrollable and almost impossible to keep in a single lane. I contacted the salesman that said he would check into it. Never heard back anything regarding assistance from the dealership other than they don't cover the chassis. Also, we were told that they wanted us to let them know where we were going to have the R/V so they could come and replace the Ice maker. It took 4+ weeks before Luxury Coach in Rockwall Texas could get me in. After another two weeks without my new to me coach and $7,347.42 the coach drives awesome and don't think for a second those crooks at MHS R/V Specialist didn't know they sold an UNSAFE R/V to endanger the lives of any and everyone on the hiways. If you want you and your family to be SAFE, Do " NOT " purchase from these crooks. Lie, deny and LIE again. They never contact you about the problems they knew about.

Sadly, those previous techs just cost us hundreds of dollars for nothing. After two days of serious towing struggles, we finally turned to the service department at Holiday World, and they were a breath of fresh air. Sam, the Service Department Manager, was sincerely caring about our concerns, but he went way beyond that. He made sure our hitch was fixed properly and permanently so we could feel safe on the road again. He even came over after hours (no kidding!) with his son to make sure everything was completely squared away. This is hands-down the best service we have ever received. Even though there is a Montana service center (Ron Hoover) much closer to us in Georgetown, we will happily make the trip up to Alvarado from now on. It is well worth the drive to know the job is being done right by skilled, genuinely caring professionals.

The day we stopped by this location was short handed because of a RV show in Dallas. Went out of their way to find someone to help us and made sure we had an employee with us to show what we had come in for. It was a great team effort for those that were there. First to help was Amanda the Service Mgr which was nice because could answer more technical and maintenance type questions. When she had to take care of something in maint., Franny who is in sales showed up to show us rest of what we came to look at. At one point a service tech was called out to answer a question. Settled on a used 5th wheel which was in good shape but had a few things we wanted fixed and they even noticed a few items. Made a detailed list of items and had a call after we left for any clarifications, anything we thought of later or may have left off the list. Had grandkids with us on one visit back to look at camper again and start the deal in progress. Sheila did an awesome job of helping keep the gkids occupied by coloring with them so wife and I could devote time to taking care of business. Spoke with a tech and several others in service and parts about a hitch. Went through several and with their information was able to make the best decision for us. Ramon in finance was very nice and enjoyed talking with him while finishing paperwork. Franny was with us through the delivery process and went through everything on the list to make sure was done to our liking. Got a good walk through with a tech who was able to explain things about the camper and answer questions. Tech who installed the hitch came out went through the process of hooking up the camper and explained well how to unhook. All during this time Franny had cleaner and a towel and was touching up a few things and made the camper sparkle like a new one. To me, this Holiday World location has a great team that works together and keeps the customer in mind. This is our fourth camper and wished we had come here for the 3 previous ones because Holiday World was that much better of an experience. When time to get another one hope that Franny is still there as well as the rest of the team. Don't typically give 5 stars unless absolutely deserve it and for my experience with Holiday World they earned and deserve it.
