It seems the assistant at the desk is prejudiced towards black people. She immediately got up and started to follow my spouse around the store. This generally happens when we visit places where they assume just because you're black you're going to steal something. It's the reason why we have returned. It's a pity they don't want our money. She had ordered one for me at another store and I had one shipped to the WC location, at no additional shipping charges. The Mixing Glass arrived a little later then anticipated (10 days opposed to 3-5), but they called me when it came in. It was as I exactly what I needed at my work Bar. It was definitely a life saver and when I needed it.

And when you show them receipts and proof of payment, they still don't deliver some of your items. When you ask for it to be canceled, they don't process that. When you dispute that with your bank and clearly win the case, they send you a collection notice and make you repay with the promise of refunding you immediately after, and guess what, they don't do that. Their accounting people are simply stupid and don't know simple math.

No wonder brick and mortar retail is dying - I'd much rather go to West Elm, CB2 or Crate and Barrel at this price point. I didn't catch the associate's name but she was an older brunette lady. The cashier (Sofia) similarly made us feel unwelcome - "what can I do for you?" (NOT in a friendly way) when I was standing in line holding my purchase, ready to check out. Is it not obvious when customers are ready to pay? I wonder if she was condescending because it was a sale item. It's a huge space and they get in tons of treasures, it's true thrift store with lots of goodies stacked to sift through.
