We saw bobcat, mountain lion, mountain sheep, and all kinds of animals that you would expect to live in Colorado. There were super funny signs everywhere (my favorite was the oats one). The disappointment was the food portion size. I ordered a reuben sandwich for $19 which came with a very skinny portion of meat between two small pieces of toast. We barely got maybe 10 fries with it. For $19 I expected the portion size to be a little bigger. Their draft beer were on the smaller size at 12 oz instead of the standard 16oz. Come here to checkout the cool wall decorations and maybe get a drink but skip the food. If a real cowboy walked into this saloon, he would be pretty angry by the portion size and probably start a bar fight!

We were seated and left sitting there for 30 minutes without a single person taking our order or offering service. Our waitress even apologized and admitted she "hates that she can't help us," making it obvious the staff had intentionally decided not to serve us. Throughout the entire time, my service dog was exactly where a service dog should be--quietly lying under the table at my feet, causing absolutely no disruption. After waiting half an hour, I finally asked if we were ever going to be served. That's when we were told the issue was my service dog. When I questioned this, the bartender's response was to tell me I "didn't need an attitude." I've written maybe five Yelp reviews in my life, but this experience deserves to be shared. The way we were treated was humiliating, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable. It felt like we were being singled out simply because I have a disability and rely on a service animal. All six of us got up and left because of how we were treated. Small businesses deserve support when they treat people with respect. This business did the opposite. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I sincerely hope no one else has to experience the kind of discrimination we did.

It was a slower morning with only couple dine in guest, was quiet morning in the mountains but loved the quaint and very cozy vibe with great antique decor! There were three of us, and we ordered the French toast with scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy with eggs over easy, and the traditional breakfast with wheat toast. Every plate was huge, the food arrived hot and full of flavor, and everything was cooked just right. Our waiter was wonderful! Very friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Great service really made the experience even better. Back to my review now that I am back home. As I stated above I booked this two months ago to celebrate my wedding anniversary. My husband ordered the Beef Wellington with a Caesar Salad, I ordered Steak with Broccolini and a custom salad (all romaine, not a spring mix). When they brought out the Caesar Salad it impressed my husband. He couldn't believe they added the anchovies on top, very nicely presented. He was served the Beef Wellington and he was amazed. He never had one, didn't really know what it was made up of. After his first bite he was so happy he ordered it. My food was great as well. Our server was absolutely fantastic. Honestly a few days before we had gone to a supermarket in that town and it was not welcoming, we almost canceled our reservations due to that. So happy we did not. The place was quaint and they sat me near a window that we can take a look at the mountain side. Although it was a rainy day, it was sunshine and happiness within those walls. Needless to say we thoroughly enjoyed our celebration, so much so my husband would have like to go to that are someday soon and visit with them once again. Loved it!!
