I hired Green Gleam for a specific post-move-out clean of a main kitchen area and appliances…read more(specific photos were provided of what and where). I provided photos upfront and received an $80 quote with an estimate of about an hour of work. She requested a tip and cash only. I asked that it all be in the receipt. The owner also performed a walkthrough on-site before starting. Two hours into the job, she stated she cleaned an unrequested secondary pantry/scullery area off the kitchen that was outside our agreed scope, and demanded a price adjustment for her extra time. When we declined to pay for unauthorized extra work beyond the $80 agreement, she became upset, stopped working mid-job, and left. To make matters worse, she accepted $100 cash on-site ($80 for the job + $20 tip), but then refused to issue a written receipt. When we asked for a receipt showing the $100 handed to her, she claimed doing so would be "falsifying records," completely refusing to itemize the $80 service charge alongside the $20 tip. She then went on a tantrum to both my partner and me with inappropriate language and threatening to block us. I also searched the state business database and found no active business or LLC filing under "Green Gleam" in Rhode Island. Makes me wonder if she is working as a sole proprietor (Joyce) but with a business name. I will be looking more into her business practices with the state. Overall, very poor communication, lack of scope management, and highly unprofessional conduct. I would not recommend this service.

I made an appointment with the above company on February 19 for a February 28 cleaning. I received…read morea text message at 9pm the night before stating that all appointments have been canceled due to weather. As someone who is a supervisor and leads a team on daily basis, I completely agree on ensuring everyone is safe, especially when weather can be dangerous. In the text message the guidance given is to reach out to the company and reschedule. The very next day on March 1 I reach out to the company to reschedule. I receive a text message back two hours later stating that there is an opening on Thursday, 2 March at 12:30pm. I agree to the appointment. The day of, at 12:30pm I text at 1231 and mention that I am home, please advise when you arriving. No arrives, calls, or even sends a text. The company is a no show. I call at 1246 and no one picks up. I receive a response at 2:07pm I'm guessing from the owner since the person never identified themselves mentioning that they have COVID and have been hospitalized since Tuesday night and that there secretary was supposed to reach out to me an led cancel. I text back to summarize my experience and mention that maybe the secretary needs more training and it would have been nice to have received a phone call so I could schedule with someone else. I receive another text message that I felt was unprofessional and telling me that we are all "human" and that "this is not in my hands" and that "I have a second job, I work in a hospital, maybe I get infected there" as there are continuous apologies. Here are my concerns: 1.) When originally canceling the appointment due to weather, sickness, etc it should NEVER fall on the client to be the one to reschedule. Proper customer service entails the company reaching out to the client and making the effort to reschedule. This shows that the clients business is indeed important. 2.) The need to communicate through text message should be limited. Pick up a phone and actually talk to your client. This can help alleviate any misconstrued information and it shows your clients that they matter. I wish I could have experienced what the other reviewers experienced, however, the ball was dropped big time. I'm also in the process of moving out of my condo in two days, and this experience really didn't help.

Randolph (the owner) was very cordial through the phone. The service was impeccable, on time, and attentive to detail. Yovany showed up on time and completed the task accordingly. She was professional and took extra time to make sure I got exactly what I needed. My favorite part was that every window in the house and tile grout was spotless. They finished the cleaning within a reasonable amount of time and even left a pink flower with a thank you note card (never seen that before)! Definitely a repeating (and satisfied) customer :) Worth every penny.

That, I still believe. ZERO stars for the " deep clean ", and for the owners attitude. He is a charming young man, as I told him in my first, and very long, thoughtful, and kind email, after which he berated me for how long it took to contact him, when that didn't work, accused me of lying, etc. Etc. I feel very sorry for him, because when he was here, he spoke of how wealthy and important his family is, and how he intended to become a billionaire early in his life. When a child is steeped in entitlement and deference from us " little people", that child hasn't learned the idea of hard work for all the money he repeatedly said he wants. Here's a hint, Randolph, you don't make lots of money unless you have repeat business. I've wasted all the time and energy I intend to.
