30 mins for 3 cheeseburgers and I am the only person here... they always have atleast 6-8 people working and I only ever see two people actually working and the rest dancing and messing around. Place seems like it's run by a teenager as at the first window you can always see 2-4 people hiding out back on there phones. Food was mediocre. Ordered Fish Sandwich with Onion Rings. Fish was not a flat fish like you would consider for a sandwich and it was cold. Onion Rings were cold and oily. Couldn't finish them. read more

I have been going to kellys since I was a baby ! This is the biggest disappointment ever ! Hot dog not cooked , and the roast beef seemed dry and roll was burnt! I strongly suggest they close the doors, or change the name before totally ruining the kellys I knew as a kid! read more

This was my first time at the Salem NH location. The staff members were rude and unfriendly. The portions were much smaller than the other locations. The french fries were cold and under cooked. I had to send them back only to get fries from the same batch which were still cold and undercooked. The hot dog bun was soaked in so much butter it was dripping down my arm. I wanted to like you but I couldn't yet. Your roast beef was too well done and dry even with the sauce. The fries tasted frozen and old. Since I've never been to the original I had high expectations because that's the bar you had to hit to beat Blue House Pizza which you didn't. Not worth the time or money. Waited in the drive-through line for 20 minutes. got up to the window. The girl was getting drinks for the drive-up orders. There were 6 food orders ready. She made me wait for 7 minutes at the window while she filled drinks. Then she finally picked up my order (which had been sitting there the whole time) and handed it to me. I was excited about Kellys coming to my area in Salem, NH but had avoided going because of the bad reviews. But today I was hungry and stopped in. I bought a small roast beef with sauce and cheese. Don't over look their cheeseburgers. They are a must try, so different from anything you've ever had, and it might just be the best burger you've ever had. It should be Kelly's famous cheeseburgers. I suggest getting a double just cheese. The line in the drive thru could be better organized. If someone orders clam plate, scallop plate, etc it's fried to order... It takes time. They should have designated drive thru spots split with mobile order spots. In Saugus they have you park and bring it out to you if your holding up the line. Yeah they're limited on spots in salem but a couple of spots could go from mobile orders to drive thru orders. Especially for those over the top orders. Don't be upset at Kelly's because the drive through is slow be mad at the person in front of you that's too lazy to go in and order the whole menu. You know what's worse, going to revere not being able to get a spot on the street or going in the winter and standing in line while you freeze or getting stalked by seagulls. I went on a Saturday around 3 the soda machine was broken, the napkin station was sparse and a mess. The wait was long. BUT they just opened so I understand employee are training. First time trying this location. I ordered through DoorDash. I called ahead to ask if I would be able my order through the drive thru (because I am sick with a cold and also have my dog in the car). The person I spoke with on the phone said it would be fine. When I got there, the person in the drive through said I would have to come inside. I told them that I called ahead and the person I spoke to said it was ok to come through the drive thru. They left and "spoke to their manager" and came back and said that they did not recieve any call tonight asking this question. Funny, because I double checked the number I called and it was for Salem Kelly's. It's one thing to say that the person who answered my question made a mistake, but to say I didn't call at all was a lie. why 1 star, I grew up in revere, so I went, food was great, OK, kept going every week at least 2 or 3 times a week, then quite a few Months back, some Female Manager walks over to answer the question for the cashier who walked away, if they accepted the New coupons in the spectrum, towards the meals, she says YES and walks away, so we wait 10 More Mins before she returns, NOW she turned and Left and left us there without taking the order the first time, so, OK, comes back and we order 2 meals she said we would have to pay the up charge, which should be like a buck or so, whatever, so Long I can't remember the prices, but NOPE instead of like 2 or 3 dollars SHE charges us the FULL Price for the 2 sodas and Onion Rings as if we did not order the Meals WHICH I ASKED, because the coupons were only for the Roast Beef, Now to say YES you can use them on the Meals with a small Up Charge, then to NOT make them Meals but charge for each individual I am like That is not what you said, SHE TOTALLY COPS AN ATTITUDE, I was like Know what, thanks, and left and have not been back, 2 to 3 times a week to never going back, because a Manager ( or at least that is who she said, Not assistant if that is what she was BUT THE MANAGER ) wanted to lie to a customer, walk away and leave them there for over 10 mins or more, then try to Over Charge and change the story, Sad, I was starting to love the place and nope, wont go back, maybe someday to see if they fired her, Me, I did not even bothered to report her and it has been at the very lease 4 Months, ah, don't want someones money, I have plenty of places to spend it on that don't treat customers as if they are expendable read more

Was excited for my 1st visit after work 6pm. The dining room was empty, and the drive-thru had 2 cars ahead of me. Waited 15 minutes to place my order, fine my bad for not going inside because it was raining. Placing my order was difficult because the person taking it was confused about my 3 way with light mayo and extra bbq sauce on the side... I know it's difficult. She says, "So you want extra mayo and ketchup?" I said no, a 3 way that's BBQ, chz and mayo, I want light mayo and extra sauce on the side. I drive up and still wait 10 min to get to the window, finally at the window, looked inside and counted at least 9 people NOT WORKING, she hands me my order that is missing half of what I ordered. Waited another 10 min, I looked in the bag, and there's NO SAUCE! She asked me for the bag back and added packets in the bag, I asked what those packets were, and she said duck sauce! I'm beside myself... I said it's EXTRA BBQ SAUCE PLEASE. Good lord... after 35 min, I was able to drive away, and the sandwich was not that great. We live in salem NH and when Kelly's first announced they were opening here, we couldn't wait to see what all the hype was about. So today we finally made it. Well first of all, they need to get orders together at the same time. My roast beef sandwich with fries and rings was ready a good 10 minutes before the fried fish dinner was. So when we started to eat, my wife's fish was nice and hot, while my RB was very cold. Now let's consider the food itself. The roast beef was lean, but very dry. I told my order taker to drown it in BBQ sauce. There was hardly enough to taste. And I ordered a large. It wasn't very large at all. The fish dinner was ok, but what kind of fish? It's a mystery. The fries were good, but onion rings very greasy. I'll sum up with this. If you want great fried seafood, spend a couple of dollars more and hit up the BEACH PLUM at Tuscan Village. Their fish is better than even sit down restaurants. And for a great, huge roast beef sakan that comes on an onion roll, visit Romanos on main st. They're delicious, and you'll get it the way you want. So I don't know why Revere go's googly eyes for Kelly's. Maybe they're made different and larger there. read more
