The streets are crowded and more inner city, but the strip mall Crown Fried Chicken is on is not crowded at all and removed somewhat from the street. First, the restaurant is a small fast food style with 5-6 tables, and the place is clean and well kept up. The menu is extensive and pictures and menus line 2 walls. The chicken is seasoned well and juicy and crispy. The fries are done just right, for me anyway, not crispy and dry but just crispy and tender enough. The food is not greasy at all, well mine wasn't. I called in the order, and it was on time and accurate, and in fact, the guy counted off my order as he packed it to go. The chicken is decidedly better than KFC, juicier and meatier, though the seasoning is not the same as the old KFC. Mashed potatoes/gravy and rolls are fresh. My new go to fried chicken bucket place! read more

The fried chicken is almost as good as KFC and costs less plus the hours it is open is great. I have not tried the Gyro's or the fries but the place is always clean and the staff is friendly. Nothing wrong with being Halal certified. read more

Crown Fried Chicken - BBQ chicken over rice. - Chicken Wings Near Me - Lawrence, Massachusetts

Kind of a rough place. Only the owner was working the lunch shift during the weekday and the place was empty. A few pieces of fried chicken were in the hot case. Biug menu of chicken, gyro, and sandwiches. I got a simple fried chicken sandwich with fries and a drink for $10. The sandwich was ok, it was one of those frozen patties that you throw in the frier. The fries were shoestring and also ok. The dining room needs a makeover and whats with all the religious script on the walls? read more

Great food, quick to prepare and very welcoming staff. The ambiance is quiet so you enjoy your meal peacefully. However, due to it's location would not personally eat inside. The menu is extensive! Love that they're open late night. Fries are always on point! Delivery service is always quick. read more

I went here to order lunch, not only was my order completely wrong when I returned all the way back to work, it was full of grease. I had to throw most of it out when they refused to correct it. I called back and explained my order was wrong and the person on the phone told me it must have been my fault. I would have gone back to pick the correct order up but they wouldn't hear of it. Their staff are incredibly rude. read more

This is our Uber go to!! Love the chicken wings. Their wings are battered and fried. We order the wings and fries with a dessert. The fries are crispy and delicious - despite being take out! Yay! The desserts are always good - the flan, fried dough, and tres leches cake are some of our favs! Recently we tried the Cole slaw and it was SOOO GOOD! We will be ordering more of that for sure read more

BEWARE. THE OWNER TOWS CARS!!!! WITHOUT SHAME. People saying that the owner is a "nice guy" got lucky. My bf and I were seeing a friend after 6 months at the restaurant next door, and we had parked our cars closer to Crown Chicken. Crown Chicken owner had BOTH our cars towed (my friend's car was next for towing but we came out at the right time). Crown Chicken owner had NO RIGHT. We were back and forth with the landlord and tow company. This place is a plaza. All parking spots are SHARED between the 3 stores. Crown Chicken owner DOES NOT "own" any parking spots, despite his MISCONCEPTION. Anyhow, the owner was being noncompliant until the landlord had to call the towing company himself, and I told Crown Chicken owner I would call the cops (encouraged by landlord). After much time, we were able to get our cars back (30min walk to towing company...) and the $360 (!!!) bill was charged to Crown Chicken. AWFUL man. Plus, their chicken is overpriced anyways. Try another location for yummy food and PEACE of mind. read more

I have read almost all of the reviews about this restaurant and all I read was positive responses from those persons weather their telling the truth or not. But for me my review would be a one star because of many Facts: Bad Facts: 1. The chicken was under seasoned needs alot more seasoning. 2. The Chicken was drenched in oil. 3. The chicken is too much golden brown. 4. The fries needed more salt. 5. The Macaroni & Cheese was under seasoned. Good Facts: 1. The delivery was very much on point and within the time frame it had to be delivered for. 2. Delivery person was very friendly and courteous to Joel . 3. The chicken was juicy, moist and tender. I'm a Chef and I look for a lot of flavors in everything I eat but your chicken and fries didn't meet my expectations at all. I do hope that in future after reading this review some changes will be made on those meals. Probably I may visit in person to see if any were made sometime in the future. I don't mean to sound harsh, its just my experience. Thankyou read more

Delicious. Don't know about the store. Customer service was great on the phone. The chicken was hot, crispy tender and delicious. Thank you to the Lawrence store. We usually go to Lowell. Now we have a new go to. Thanks to the folks at Lawrence Crown Chicken! read more

BANGIN, best chicken spot North and south in Law in my opinion at least the wings are also good and so are the gyros ‍

Right off the bat let's be honest, the place is sketchy and full of hood rats and ratchet looking ladies and gentlemen but the food is great and the Halal burgers never let me down either. I drive 30mins just to get their food, that should tell you something. read more

Horrible fried chicken and horrible mash potato. gravy tasted disgusting and it seems like they made the mashed potatoes last week.

Best fried chicken in The Merrimack Valley. This place does chicken, fish, burgers, etc. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is outstanding. If there is a question on your order they always check before verifying it. The seasonings and spices and the light crispy batter are perfect. I love this place, and I honestly think you will too. read more

Daphne and I were searching for some adventure, and boy did we find some at Crown Fried Chicken in Lawrence. As we were pulling in, a man wearing tight red sweatpants, gladly waved me over to give me his parking spot, I felt right at home! Once I was inside, I proceeded to order some fried chicken with fries. While I was waiting for my food, I noticed a small gathering of people around my car, it seems to be the local hang out spot. Upon receiving my food and exiting the building, I proceeded to see the largest tramp stamp of my life. I'm talking about a tattoo that took up this woman's whole back. When I sat down in the car, it was then that I realized how grease covered the food was. The food was so greasy that the plastic bag felt like it was put in the frying pan. I have not been back to Crown since, but overall the prices were great if you like grease covered chicken, with a 50% chance of seeing a hoochy mama with a tramp stamp. read more

Not bad and super cheap. Ordered 3 pcs of chicken and fries for 5 bucks. Had their fish sandwich once for 3 bucks. At these prices I wasn't expecting it to be spectacular but it was pretty good. read more

Everytime I've gone there and asked for specific pieces when I order catering size entrees, they put in the most of what I dont want. I've even played them extra to do the same and still they screw it up. Fries are as hard as rock. This place used to be good.... read more

I think we got all the dry pieces that had been sitting around since the Eisenhower administration that reviewer Drew B. was spared. :-) Apparently the foist them off on people who order delivery. Buyer beware. read more

I truly enjoy crown fried chicken; every time I go it's perfect. I haven't had any negative experience there.

The worst customer service ever. I called to place an order and asked for the chicken kabob with rice, he just said "we don't have chicken kabob" in a rude tone, so I asked him if that was just for today or if they weren't gonna have it anymore and he just hung up on me. HELLOOO??? I guess you don't want my business anymore. Don't waste your time ordering here. Delivery is very slow, they always get the order wrong and they don't bring you everything that you ordered. When you call back and tell them they deny that you ordered it even though they charged you already and they circled it on the menu. Then they take another 2 hours to bring the correct order. read more

The food is great I love it. Super cheap. The only problem is one of the delivery drivers is really rude. He has a very poor attitude.

The establishment is open for long hours, even on most major holidays. Food is often available here when nothing else is open. The fried chicken is good and usually reliable. On rare occasions, i have found it was getting dry so look at the chicken before ordering just like any other fried chicken establishment. If you can wait, another batch may be in the fryer. You get fries or yellow rice (its Lawrence) with the chicken, salad, and a 12 oz. can of soda. Prices are very reasonable. There is a limited menu of additional fried food items available. Although located on a well populated main street, it is the inner city. There are sometimes sketchy characters in the area, but I go to Lawrence often and have never had a problem. read more

First time been in one of their places loved the food the service, we had chicken burger as ordered for my daughter, she loved it my son got and enjoyed his fish sandwich with everything, steak and cheese was great and chicken wings nice and crunchy the fries way better than other fast food places. read more

Will NEVER eat from here again. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and the chicken alone looked very questionable. The color was very orange but I assumed they used some sort of spice that had that sort of food coloring. That same day after eating that salad my stomach was killing me and it kept getting worse. Long story short I had food poisoning for a week. Nothing I ate or drank I could keep down. I ended up losing 5 lbs. I vowed to never eat here again nor will I ever recommend anyone to eat here. Just hearing someone mention the name of this place makes me gag! read more
