We took a chance on this place because it doesn't look like much from the outside. We ended up having the most delicious hot pastrami sandwiches! The sesame roll was excellent, the generous amount of pastrami was shaved very thinly and was incredibly lean. Fries were cooked perfectly and the staff brought our food to the table. read more

Have you folks ever considered going Vegan? Too much artery clogging meats being served.

I actually just made an account to write this review. Everything I got here tonight was absolute slop I wouldn't even feed my dog 5 tacos and a jr. beef meal (40.95!!). Make your food to order every time I've been here I've gotten what I expected but this was a disgraceful dog s*** meal. Figure it out learn to cook your food to order. This is straight laziness and that's the reason restaurants will fail best of luck to the owners. Find better employees that take pride in cooking read more

Simard's Super Roast Beef - Taco Should've seen when it was pick up - Salad Near Me - Wilmington, Massachusetts

I've always liked Simard's because I like their roast beef. Unfortunately, the last three times I went there and got a King Beef, the onion role was stale. Not completely inedible stale but clearly at least one-day-old bread. They shouldn't be passing this off to people but throwing it away. They know it's stale. They just don't care. It degrades the sandwich. There are other options so I won't be going back. If you're in the area, try Rizzo's, 5 minutes away on Church Street in Wilmington. Their roast beef is always outstanding and the bread is never, ever stale. Wilmington House of Pizza is good, too. Plus, frankly, their service is really slow. This is a place that has the words "roast beef" in their name and so you would think it would be quick. I swear they're going out back and slaughtering the cows. Plus they now add a surcharge on using a credit card. There is ZERO reason to go here. read more

We are local and saw a tiktok review raving about Simard's - absolutely not worth the raves. Service was really slow even during mid day and we got their roast beef, chicken sandwich, and fries - it was not even close to other roast beefs that we've had around the North Shore. read more

Completely awful. I used to like this place years ago for a nice roast beef three-way in an upcoming here tonight got a junior beef. Three-way waited more than I should've. I got the beef and it was completely cold in the middle of it warm on the outside. It's like they had the beef already cut up and they slapped it in a microwave or something absolutely disgusting and the barbecue sauce. And Mayo seemed of low-quality if you're looking for low-quality food, this is the place to go. I don't typically give restaurants low ratings, but this place deserves it read more

Not one to normally write reviews and normally, there would be nothing to complain about but I thought I'd share a photo of the hotdog we received in order tonight- I don't mind a little char but this hotdog is one stiff wind away from disintegrating. read more

Simard's Super Roast Beef - some sort of hotdog - Salad Near Me - Wilmington, Massachusetts

Order is always missing items and its kids on the weekend running it, i call they don't care

Says they are open until 1:30 but closed at 1:00. They were fully staffed and refused to take our order.

My.roat beef is all ways great . We never have completed. Pretty great that they are open later then anything els

I've been coming to Simards for years. The food is phenomenal and the service has always been great. I live all the way in Worcester and continue to drive the hour drive there and back just to get their roast beef. But after this, I will never go back there again. We ordered our food pay with a card, and we are charged a fee for using the card(which is fine). My wife decided not to leave a tip as she didn't have much in the account. We leave we enjoy the food, and two days later get a text message alert, saying the balance was updated to included two dollar tip. I call the restaurant to speak to the manager. He doesn't want to listen to me, and just said that the cashier has been working there for four years without incident so it must've just been a mistake. Wilmington is a fairly rich town and I'm sure people aren't checking their account balances for a dollar or two to go missing. I feel like they wouldn't notice. So when I reach out with this information and get a slap in the face from the manager of pretty much being told that this wasn't a theft by his employee when it actually was. I will never go there again, and I will badmouth this restaurant to anybody who will hear me. That was a horrible way to handle the situation. my wife is fully irate and to completely disregard our concern is unbelievable and the shittiest customer service I've ever gotten from a manager at that. read more

Simard's Super Roast Beef - My bank letting me know I was being robbed! - Salad Near Me - Wilmington, Massachusetts

Brings back many teenage memories, took my son there as my first pregnancy craving over 23 years ago was their waffle fries with cheese, to see if liked them and he did, altho they were overcooked but still tasted good. Staff was friendly as well. read more

The king size roast beef is gigantic! Besides the size, there was nothing special about the sandwich. The wing dings made up for the average roast beef sandwich. This place has a drive thru and is open until 2am! read more

Having been a local of the surrounding area since childhood, Simard's was always a top-pick when it came to small local businesses. Whether you're old or young, rich or poor, Simard's always gives you bang for your buck at a reasonable price. As both an Uber partner and a frequent customer, I know the menu and business well. In either role the staff are always nice and accommodating to your needs. Being one of the more popular small restaurants in the area, do expect a line later in the day and late at night. The amount of business they get at night in their drive-thru is akin to how busy the McDonald's drive-thru is on summer nights when everyone wants ice cream- wait times can get longer than usual. The staff keeps a constant pace though and even when the line of cars extends out to the street, you will usually never be waiting more than 15-30 minutes. I hold this business in high regard but why only 4/5 stars you may ask? At times when it is busy, they may get your order wrong or mess up on one or two details. When you are as busy as they are though, I could never hold that against them. Even if you don't get exactly what you want down to a T, don't be too sad because either way the food is great. I would highly recommend their chicken fingers and potato skins. The taste of the potato skins with cheese and bacon is unparalleled and is always my #1 choice off the menu and for potato skins in general. read more

I didn't want to pay attention to the negative Google reviews when we found Simard's on Google Maps, while riding home at 2am. Sadly, those reviews are spot on. The sandwiches, 2 "super" beefs, barely had any meat and what little there was was cold. It was odd to bite into a roast beef sandwich and just get bun and sauce. The fries were pretty bad too. I feel bad writing this but it *was* pretty bad. The young woman at the window was a sweetheart. I would totally hire her. Any stars go to her. (I dig your hair!! :) ) If you're heading up to the North Shore and want roast beef - check out Atha's in Peabody or Nick's Famous Roast Beef in North Beverly, Kelly's is good but a lot of hype. Bill & Bob's in Salem is great for late nights. I'm genuinely sorry, Simard's. read more

Probably one of the most disgusting places to eat here in the small town. I pass by occasionally and have had bad service in past, but thought to give another try. The roast beef is cold, the fries taste like they are 10 days old. Small portions. This place is the worst roast beef place I've ever been to. My stomach felt unsettling. I thought of throwing the whole dinner out but then I suffered through it. They need to take " Roast beef" out of their name. How is this lousy joint still open? read more

Ladies and Gentlemen, Welcome to Simard's. Your drunk, late night staple. It's made a name for itself due to the sauce it uses and the fact that it's the only thing open late. Everywhere you travel in the country, there is one place in the hometown that everyone loves but outsiders thinks it's trash... enter Simard's. Reviews on yelp are useless for this kind of place. I love it. I grew up here. I drag everyone there. Do you want class? Go somewhere else Do you want something less pricey? Go somewhere that isn't open for the majority of the day This place is a gem. I always meant to say mods. I love some mods but lately they are horrible. The management is horrible and one of the girls that is a complete bitch and if you ask her to do something, she'll just smile and not do anything for you. I do not recommend this place for anyone. The price is outrageous. They just put their prices whatever they feel like they should have. They are horrible. If I were you, I would not go there they even charge for ranch or dressing who does that not me? Why would you pay extra money for the dressing? I go there all the time I never got a charge now I did DoorDash and all of a sudden they charge me who do they think they are and then when I called to go to make sure the dressing was in there. She gave me a hard time my roast beef was really cold. My drink was flat and I didn't get any fries. They are horrible. I do not recommend them.Junior Beef gross read more

I ordered food through Uber Eats here tonight. My food arrived stone cold and drowning in mayonnaise. I'm not entirely sure how that's supposed to happen when that clearly wasn't what I ordered, but apparently employees here thought it would be funny to write "Hilary Clinton" on my order because my name is Hillary. Fun stuff. I'm not sure if that's why my order arrived colder than Bill's ball sack, but I'm just going to assume that's the reasoning. read more

I'm not a local, but Simard's is one of my wife's personal "must stop" places when she visits her home town. Having lived near Boston for several years, I appreciate that while you can name a number of New England delicacies, the secret of the locals is that the roast beef is the go-to sandwich is king. In Philadelphia, I lead people away from the cheesesteak and to a roast pork (w/ sharp provolone, natch) and in Massachusetts, you can skip the chowder or even the lobster roll and go right for a Super Beef. Pros: I have no idea what else is good on the menu except this. We order 2 Roast Beef sandwiches and spicy fries (w/ cheese) every time. I'm never disappointed. Freshly sliced, melts in your mouth and a nice soft onion roll are truly bliss. I love it. My go-to is a regular beef (about the circumference of a big mac) with lettuce, onions, horseradish and mayo - it's got the right spiciness to still melt but have a kick. I love it. My wife skips the horseradish and enjoys her's as well. We also get the spicy fries and cheese which are about exactly as you'd imagine. Eat those fries hot because they're pretty unspecial cold. Prices are fair. I ordered the Super Beef once (about the size of a whopper) and even in my hayday of eating a shit ton, it's a bit too much. You can probably stop it at regular beef if you're hungry. Hours are extreme for late night. Service is friendly though. Cons: Service is slow for drive through. Lol if you order delivery. They cook and slice to order, so it is what it is. The fries, once not hot, are a mess. Just a potato-ey, kinda gross, mess. Eat 'em quick! This place looks pretty dingy and old. But honestly, we've always enjoyed it and never saw anything gross happen. Conclusion: We can and will be back. Simard's hits the spot for a local roast beef joint and the extra late hours are probably why it stays in business. But Simard's does the trick for us! read more

Ordered from Uber Eats for me and my sons on a Saturday (Saturday is for the boys!!). It took about an hour, not bad for a Saturday at 10:00pm. Roast Beef was ok, rolls never taste fresh there, don't know why that is! All sides ( Fries, onion rings, chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks were all over cooked in oil that tasted like it was old. If Wilmington had a take out restaurant that was opened late and served 4 or 5 star food, they would do great. read more

If your sauced at like 2 am this place fs will hit the spot, but other then that not the biggest fan. I feel like most of the menu items are way too expensive. The burger I got here tasted like roadkill but the seasoned fries were good but not the greatest. I've yet to try there roast beef's which is what the place is known for I guess and I've heard good things. Also surprisingly there tacos are pretty good but god knows what the meat even is. All and all, if your driving under the influence at 2 AM after leaving a function and getting no butt, and your tryna get some quick mucks cus nothings open. Jus pop out get ya self a chicken sandy or something not to crazy jus don't get the burgers on the set. Some of the workers used to b hella fine that blonde girl was mad hot. I saw I previously gave Simard's five stars. Dude okay if you are from Wilmington you know what Simard's is. I will do everything in my power (or go here at like 12:30 AM) to make sure Simard's stays in business. Definitely go here. I love Simard's kid. but i don't know yelp defines five stars as "as good as it gets" and i have to say, i mean no it can be much better. but you know what I live a three star life. i do what i can. i could probably try better. but i'm good enough for my friends and family and i never want them to tell me i'm doing a five star job when i'm doing a three star job. Having grown up in the area, I've tried this place enough to really be able to review it. Basically, it's mediocre fried food. This is my "I just got off the train home from a Bruins game and I'm on my way home" stop. Open til 3 AM. Yeaaaap. The seasoned fries are amazing. Waffle fries that, I kid you not, I was not able to finish in one sitting so I put them in the fridge and they still had crunch after being nuked the next day. The beef's good. I'm more a pastrami fan, good pepper flavor on that. Caveat. This is greasy, fatty, you will die if you eat here more than once every three months type food. BUT. First time customer. Bring cash instead of using their Apple Pay! I am a huge fan of tiny family-owned businesses, and I've had my eye on this place for a while. I had asked for a "girl-sized" roast beast with all the burger fixin's, including cheese. It arrived with more meat than I wanted, so my dog was very happy scarfing down the extras. Should I have ordered a baby size instead? The bun wasn't quite toasty, so it turned sloppy and hard to hold. My dog, of course, offered to hold it for me. I was annoyed that it was missing both the cheese i was talked into ordering and the ketchup, which I'd always thought was mandatory on burgers! Although I was annoyed, I can improvise, so I went to the Market Basket across the street for ketchup. The worse part was trying to pay. I had called ahead to ask about Apple pay, and they had given me the thumbs up. Yay! But it turns out their machine is nowhere near the customer, so how am I supposed to use fingerprint recognition? My eyebrows flew up as the cashier took my phone away and waved it upside down over the POS device and said my card was declined. Then two more employees joined the fray, gaslighting me about my Apple pay not being set up correctly. I'm like WTF, and let loose more F bombs than were appropriate. I mean, there was a poor little new born listening to my trashy mouth, but I was super pissed off, because I have used Apple pay for years. They gave me the food gratis, and encouraged me to come back. But now I'm scared they will spit in my food. I have since learned about Apple Pay photo recognition, but it's not mandatory, and I don't want to use it. In retrospect, I think the cashier was responsible for 90 percent of the problems, and I think the couple with the tiny baby were doing the best they could. The dad prepared my order super fast, which isn't easy! read more

I just went to Simard's for lunch, I got a Super Beef Special that came with small fries, which were huge (and a side of nacho cheese on the suggestion of the kid behind the counter), and a small fountain soda. Considering the price of a Super beef on its own, and the price of a fries and coke it was a pretty good value @ $9.95. I have to say they were pretty damn quick about getting the orders out, there were people waiting inside and there was a line of cars in the drive-thru, which I must say for a roast beef joint is pretty damn convenient. The small fries that came with it were Waffle cut seasoned fries, actually not sure if there was an up charge for that, but they were damn good. Also, glad I listened to the kid behind the counter on the Nacho Cheese, it was a nice compliment; after all, cheese makes everything better. I got back to the office and had lunch, I was a little bit disappointed in the amount of beef in the sandwich; after all, it was a Super Beef. I personally prefer the Roast Beast to be a little bit more on the rare side than the somewhat cooked throughout. The combination of the BBQ sauce and horseradish was pretty flavorful, and was a good sandwich. Some reviewers that grew up on Kelly's said this place runs circles around it, and I might agree growing up on Harrison's in N. Andover, and myself not being impressed with Kelly's. Harrison's is still by far the place to beat for this type of Roast Beast sangwich. read more
