Came in for a birthday meal for myself with family and friends. It was wildly such a disappointed time, I wish we went somewhere else. Made reservations online and that all went smoothly. We were sat and then our disaster started. Our waitress was never to be seen. It took her forever to get to us, serve us and bring our food. I had to ask other servers for refills and issues with our food. Our appetizer of buffalo chicken dip came out with really bad chips. They tasted very stale and been sitting out for awhile. We ate it anyways. Our food eventually came by a food runner and we had serveral mess ups. My mother received the wrong side (ordered parm fries and received cold white rice). The food runner fixed it and was fine. My food was very cold, it took forever for someone to come after searching for our waitress. She went and warmed up my food in the microwave and brought it back. My friends meal was good, the sweet potato fries were delicious. By the time we finished eating we were waiting for boxes and our server forever. Our simple dinner was about 2 hours because she was so un attentive. We still have no idea where she was, we can see the kitchen and the floor but nothing. This was a horrible experience and poor establishment. I'd recommend other places. read more

As we got to our hotel late and didn't want to drive back out and wait at a restaurant we ordered via Yelp, which in reality was just door dash under the covers. This isn't a door dash review BUT something that restaurant should be aware of is using third parties does reflect back on them in some regard. I say this as we were never notified our food was delivered and only when I chatted with door dash online did they confirm it was delivered. I went down to lobby and it was there. My waitress put her hand firmly on my hamburger when she put my drink on the table, then played it off like it didn't happen. Her service was ok but I decided I'm leaving my worst tip 15%. The payment process is they run your card at the table and hand you the machine to tip. Offers 25%, 22%, and 20%. I picked custom and manually entered the 15% tip. Such a terrible way to do it. Yes, it's a chain, but great wings. Buffalo wings and Sweet Thai wings both nailed the crisp exteriors and fully juicy interiors, with flavor from the outside (sauces) and inside (marinades). The sweeter wings weren't one-note sweet. The Buffalo had some kick, some vinegar, and nice richness to the sauce. Yes, it's a chain (and I usually despise chains), but it's a small one. My family setup a reservation for a moderately large party (12) as we have had good experiences with Red Heat Tavern. Upon arrival, we were promptly seated and the staff distributed menus. They took our orders and promptly filled them. For beverages, they were proactive in keeping them filled, a level of service not often seen in this category of restaurant. The appetizer of fried pickles was large enough to share and the meals were well prepared and nicely presented. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken which was crispy and juicy. The gravy was delicious and paired well with the mashed potatoes. The green beans were firm, crisp, and warm, just the way I like them. Definitely worth returning! Hint: Batters and many items are gluten free. As part of the Burtons family, they are very conscious of food sensitivities/allergies and will adjust dishes accordingly. read more

While in Boston I was craving gluten free Fried chicken and came across this gem. Upon entry the hostess was friendly and informed us of the options we had for Gluten free items. Our waitress was very helpful and answered all questions which made us feel comfortable with food ordering and by stating that they can make just about anything gluten-free (except Mac and cheese and pretzels). The restaurant was not packed but had a decent crowd for a noon rush. Ordered a starter of the sticky ribs that were made with General Tso sauce and practically falling off the bones. Then we proceeded to the order of the Fried chicken (gluten free) with garlic mash potatoes and gravy and a side of Parmesan French fries, because why not. The order of chicken came split as requested and was a decent size for both of us and was phenomenal, perfectly cooked, and very tender. The mash potatoes were flavorful and the fries tasted so fresh. All I can say is that I look forward to coming back to the Boston area just to be able to try another dish or hoping to one day see you in South Florida in the near future! read more

Had the Sticky Ribs which is made with General Tso sauce and the Southern Fried Chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and sub for the parmesan fries. The fried chicken hit the spot. It was breaded perfectly and was completely juicy and so flavorful. The mash was good and the fries were amazing!! They must have just replaced that oil in the dedicated fryer because that was the best tasting fries I've ever had!! The pistachio salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans is legit my favorite! They used to have bacon Brussel sprouts as an appetizer, but didn't see it on the menu this time around, which is ok because if they come back, they are worth getting. I sat at the bar and it was great, the bartender was Nicole, zero complaints. Would love to have her again. Can't offer to much on other food as I'm a creature of habit and stick to what I know. I've only been once - school vacation week for a midweek dinner. I will preface this by saying my husband has been here two other times midday on a work day and had a burger at bar and felt it was good food and service and that we should go back for dinner sometime- sadly our experiences were vastly different. The place was very busy, which was to be expected-but not the kind of busy where you feel like "whoa- it's busy, but clearly this staff can handle their isssh" it was feeling more like a chaotic "oh jesus, what have we walked into?" Like noise level loud enough to not notice if there was some background music happening as well. I had a pretty good mixed drink called 'the bee's knees' and he got a beer. I wasn't convinced that the waitress had registered my food allergy when I announced it prior to our drink order, so I repeated it each time we ordered; for our app and then for entree. The Thai tempura app was ok- I really like the recent spotlight that cauliflower has gotten with being battered and dressed and listed next to chicken tenders, but the Thai chili sauce was super sticky/and overly sweet and overwhelmed the dish completely in my opinion. He got a burger and fries and I got what I assumed would be a 'safe bet' which was a Caesar salad with steak tips. The food took a little while to come out, but the waitstaff seemed to be completely flat out, so that was understandable. His burger was tasty, I tried a bite and his fries were also good. My salad arrived very soggy, looked wilted and the taste was a bit off-- there were two minuscule chunks of steak on top, which were listed as $7-8 add-on. I politely told the waitress I would not be able to eat my meal and would like to get a side of fries instead, she apologized and said she would put that right in. A totally different person returned (some time later) with a large basket of fries and without introduction asked me if I was sure I didn't want to eat the salad. He then announced (mostly to my husband) that he was the head chef and wondered why I didn't want his salad- I repeated politely it was not what I expected and that it didn't taste good and that I'd just rather the fries, which he was still holding and that then we would get the check and wrap up. Such a bizarrely awkward and confrontational delivery of fries, something I'd never experienced before. Overall: Yikes- thanks, but no thanks -- I am one and done. read more

We were there 2.5 hours granted we had a party of 8 but never asked the end of the table for apps food came with missing items server did not come back to see how things were until we were half done the table wasn't cleared timely.
