Anna got out all my upper shoulder knots with good pressure theoughout except lower back which she said she could not apply a lot of pressure to bc of the baby which is fine since well communicated. Started snd ended on time. Front desk was also super nice and friendly. $85 for the massage-had to leave to go to the bank to get $30 cash for the tip. She deserved the 35% tip they suggest and overall for a prenatal massage it was still a good price. read more

If I had left this review yesterday, it would have been an easy 5 stars. My wife and I have been getting massages here for a few years now and I've never had any complaints. The rooms are quiet and cozy, the prices are good, and the massages ranged from great to excellent. However, today I had an exchange with Kelly after my massage that left a sour taste in my mouth. Over time, I've bought a few of the 10 massage packages for $550, and I've routinely tipped $10 per massage (18%). Today, before my massage, Kelly told me "$10 isn't a good enough tip - you need to tip $15 starting from today." I only had a $20 in my pocket (10 for me and 10 for my wife), and after the massage, told Kelly so. She gave me a disgusted look and told me she'd write down that I'd owe an extra $10 the next time I came in. I was planning on bringing a bit extra the next time anyway, but at this point, I pointed out her sign which said "Suggested: 25% tip" and it was not a requirement. She told me her massage therapists won't work hard for "low tips." She aggressively told me if I wouldn't tip more, she would refuse service to me, pointing at the "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" sign. She then refunded the 3 remaining massages in my package. Now, I have no problems paying a bit more for a massage - I know Mountain View is an expensive area. But Kelly should pay her massage therapists a reasonable wage, and a suggested tip amount should be just that - suggested. If any customer chooses to tip less, that is their choice. If she wants a guaranteed 25% tip, all she has to do is add it into the price and add a footnote "Gratuities included in price" Overall, her behavior was hostile and aggressive, and completely unprofessional. I am glad she refunded my remaining massages, because I do not want to return. read more

Updating my review from my recent experience. I should start by saying that Hubert and Kelly are both amazing and that Kelly's Massage really cares about you. When I posted my previous review, it was not so much as a feedback for them as it was for any customers planning to try try them. Within a couple of hours of posting I received a call from Kelly's. I was surprised to get their call and that too so quickly. They apologized, really listened to how I felt and offered me come to back and get a free massage from Kelly. Honestly I was a bit nervous as I was still recovering from the pain of the previous massage. I scheduled an appointment for the weekend. From the time I arrived, Hubert met with me and again apologized, explained how they choose a masseuse and his vision for the place. The massage with Kelly was simply amazing!! She asked what what bothering me, which area to focus, how much pressure etc, she asked throughout the massage to make sure I felt okay. I asked her to focus on my neck/shoulder/upper back and right foot/calf. She did an amazing massage to remove knots and sore spots. After the massage I felt so light and fresh - seriously amazing!! After the massage Hubert asked me about it, didn't push me to change my review, also didn't want me to tip unless I really wanted to - so difficult to find such genuine people. What I really liked (of course apart from the great massage) was their customer service. Very few businesses actually hear the feedback and act on it. Kelly's Massage went above and not only did all that but you can see the genuiness to really care for their customers. So happy that I decided to go back. And will continue going back. Update: I've been going for many months now. Every time I leave I feel much better than when I walked in. I dont always go to Kelly; I have been getting massages from whoever is available, and each one has been wonderful. I particularly enjoyed Cindy and Nancy as they both use a lot of pressure but are very intuitive as to how hard they can go without hurting me. I can't recommend this place enough! If you have chronic tightness due to your desk job like me, or just need to unwind after a really tough race - this is the place! Will keep going for as long as I can! read more

Kelly's Healing Massage has two locations and I've had great massages from various therapists, though each with their own style so you'll just have to find someone whose technique you best enjoy. Of course, it's a really competitive price for a SW/DT massage in the Bay so naturally, I tip my therapists more. My body was super exhausted (and I mean just super dead) from working out all week and I managed to sneak in a last minute massage at the Sunnyvale location. Super friendly front desk and got paired up with Steven who is amazing! Super professional and attentive; he found all my knots and gave me such a great massage that I came out fully rejuvenated and feeling alive again. I've sat and thought on this update for over a year now and I've decided to voice my opinion. The last time I came in for a service (Feb 2020), Kelly left me with a bad experience. As I was paying, she mentioned that her employees don't get paid enough and survive off tips. This is not my problem. Pay them more? Don't guilt trip customers into paying more in tips or suggesting how much one should give. I was going to give 20% initially but her pushy attitude just made me feel so uncomfortable. I would suggest if anyone else was/is in this position to bring an envelopment and seal your tip in there beforehand. Please also give customers options to remove themself from your texts! read more

I have been to Kelly's 3-4 times over the last 18 months or so. The first time I went, I had a wonderful experience. The last time I went, I had a horrible experience, I will try to be fair but the bad experience is current, so consider that. The treatment price is very reasonable for the atmosphere and personalized attention you get. It is easy to call and make an appointment as the front desk staff is very capable. At some places even this step can be challenging, so 1* for that. I'd say for most people, you will have the experience I had before, I just wanted whole body massage by capable therapist in a private room, and you will get that. You will be satisfied if you do not need to really have good rapport with the therapist. Now, the bad. First, I don't need to communicate deeply with the therapist, I understand only english and don't fault anyone who isn't fluent. But as a therapist if you cannot give me sense you are *trying* to follow the patient's instruction, if you cannot read my body and muscle response to know how relaxed I am getting when you work on my back, and how bored or otherwise unhappy when you grind into one shoulder for 10 minutes straight, AND you cannot understand me when I say "please massage back" then there really is no point trying to dialogue. Frankly I am pretty sure she knew what my body wanted and didn't want to do it, for one reason or another, as I truly cannot imagine a therapist less in-tune with a patient. Case in point, at least 3 times she asked me "OK?" when doing something I was enjoying, so I replied "yes" and she stopped. This is when I stopped trying to answer her. Cut to the end: After 40 minutes of my massage had gone by I was not at all happy having received less than 15 minutes on my problem area. I was so frustrated that I got up still covered in oil, and got dressed. I was offered my appointment for free and after insisting I leave $20, I was offered a gift certificate for a future visit which I declined. This is the first time I have EVER walked out of a massage, so that is why I gave this place a less than average rating. This is a review from a couple of years ago so I don't know if she changed her behavior. Anyway, i hope so. Kelly did a decent job with the massage but i had a very poor experience with her after. Upon getting a 20 percent tip, Kelly aggressively pointed to a small sign by the desk that said "suggest tip" is 30 percent. She demanded I pay this and I gave her extra to meet the 30 percent but I felt coerced to pay. I don't know what the point of calling it a tip if its mandatory. She might as well demand it upfront and change the price of the massage. She applied the right amount of good pressure where I needed it and where I didn't know I needed it. I also told her I'm a runner, and she knew exactly how to address hip tightness. The lady I had KEPT clearing her throat/coughing and it kept getting in the way of my trying to relax. I also was slightly annoyed by the fat that 45mins were seemingly just on my back/arms and then she rushed through the rest head and legs. (I had not given any indication on what to focus on, and just wanted to see what their basic service was like). The second time I came, I had another lady assigned to me and WOW was she wonderful: had a truly relaxing yet firm full body massage. I came out of there feeling absolutely rejuvenated and stress reduced. The only downer - I forgot to catch her name so I could insist on just having her from now on (The clearing-throat-constantly-lady could be heard through the walls at the latter part of my massage). I originally found this place because the price was pretty good, especially compared to other places in the Mountain View area. I've been here a few times since, and even though I've had different masseuses each time with varying styles/skills, they've all been pretty good overall. I normally come when I need a break or my body is feeling sore, and I've always left feeling better. I always get the 60 minute full body massage. The first thirty minutes or so, they work on your entire backside (shoulders, back, legs) while you lie on your stomach, and then you flip over and they work on your front with arms and neck. The head massage is sooo comfortable. I love the hot towels at the end of each side as well. They are usually pretty thorough and you can ask to focus on an area if you need. The location is pretty convenient right in downtown Mountain View and close to lots of milk tea spots (Verde, Teaspoon, Tea Era, Tapex) if you want to indulge yourself a little more afterwards. I am a little disappointed because the price went up $10 in just the past month (not just a little bit but $10!) which brings them closer to the price point of other places, but as long as I don't find a place that is better, I'll keep coming here. I want to preface this review by saying that I am an experienced massage receiver. I've been getting deep tissue massages weekly for about 5 years. I've also been a licensed massage therapist for five years, and a licensed massage therapy instructor for two years. I have a very specific thing I'm looking for when I go to get a massage, and I know that I am picky. With that being said my therapist today was good. I think the most effective way to do this is to tell you what I thought were pros and cons. Pros: The price is fair. And the pressure was deep. The therapist focused on all of the areas I had concerns with. The facility was clean, the table was comfortable and the ambience was soothing. And was very close to hitting the mark on a lot of my expectations. With that being said almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. Cons: The pace of her strokes were much too fast to be legitimately relaxing, And while therapeutic, the constant jarring and jerking of short quick strokes makes it hard to relax and to enjoy the session. She worked on my left trap and it was like getting punched in the back of the head over and over with her arm. I am more of a fan of a slow deep myofascial release and trigger point therapy. While this massage had pieces of a myofascial deep tissue session, it lacked the timing to allow for me to relax and give those muscles the time they needed to fully release and resolve from their state of contraction. And this may just be tedious and somewhat nitpicky, but the therapist kept clearing her throat every 20 seconds or so for the first 20 minutes of the session. Maybe it's your allergies or whatever but this is my time. All those being considered the session was good I did get adequate released to relieve the tension in my neck shoulders and back. I do feel better. But I'm still left wanting! The next question would I return for another session? I think if I had to just go and try anyone and rest getting a terrible session yes.I know that here I will get a good session with good pressure and in the areas of my concerns and get results, but those results were not up to my standards and expectations. So the synopsis. Decent work, good price and fair results I would go again. read more

However if you're looking for massage for lower prices, probably you will have to drive to Fremont or Milpitas. Otherwise don't complain about the tips. Came here a few months ago for a sports massage. I had a lot of tightness in my quads and hamstrings from running and the massage here was WOW! She really really got into my muscles and man it hurt but two days later I felt so so so much better. She was really upfront with how painful it was going to be - be warned, a sports massage is not a relaxing experience if you're tight from working out. I was told I'd be seeing Lucy, but actually ended up getting a massage from Kelly. Kelly is a very skilled and strong massage therapist. She only asked me briefly once I was on the table if there were areas I'd like to focus on, but she did exactly as I asked. She checked in periodically to ask if I was ok with the pressure and noticed when something was especially tender, which I appreciated. This is a no-frills place, but it's clean, well-maintained, professional, and most importantly, you can get an excellent massage here. And the price really can't be beat. I'll be back! read more

After trying 10 times, I'm a lifer! Before Kelly's, I was a frequent visitor of immersion spa and watercourse way. Both places easily doubles or triples the amount you pay at Kelly's. Yet the massage they offer was mostly misses. Aside from the price, the therapists at Kelly's are consistently good. While some are better than others, all of them are trained to find the right pressure points. I have personally never experienced a bad massage here. If you don't speak Chinese, you could ask the cashier to translate some of your requests. The owners are truly friendly and helpful. You won't feel disappointed. read more

It was my first time visiting this place, I made an appointment on a weekend and they were able to see me in 2 hours. My masseuse name was Ana, she was great. First thing they will ask you is if you need to use the restroom. Afterwards you head into the massage room and take off all your clothes except your underwear and lay down on the table. She will ask you if you want the pressure to be ''medium or hard''. Medium is still great for me because I am petite. I felt super refreshed and calm after the massage. I would probably say hard on my upper shoulders next time because my knots are quite bad. I checked the clock on what time the massage actually started and it ended on the dot of one hour! When the massage is done she will wait outside to give you a bottle of water. All the masseuse here are female. Massage was $55 since I paid in cash and I tipped her $20. I will make an updated review once I return to see if my opinion has changed at all. Overall, excellent service and massage. Pricing is not bad at all. I went to this place two days ago hoping to find some relief for my neck pain. Their rooms are clean and cozy. I didn't have an issue of miscommunication because I speak Chinese, nor would I complain about the "suggested" 25% percent tip. But I give them a one-star because the massage I received didn't make my body feel better at all. After one hour's massage session, I walked out of the place feeling even a bit worse than when I came in. I had been having occasional sore neck and shoulders recently, only slight or moderate. But after two days, during which I only work on my desk only one or two hours per day, the whole areas in my neck, shoulders, and upper back are feeling serious pain almost all the time, to the extent that it's even hard to sleep. Now I even need to find a doctor or physical therapist. The day when the massage finished, I told my masseuse that I felt even a little worse now, but she just said I would be better only after I re-visit for a few more times...This is the weirdest part because my understanding is that after one session my problems should at least be a little better, if not completely resolved. The entire massage was also underwhelming. I had tight neck and perhaps shoulders so I asked the masseuse to focus more on those parts. Then when she worked on my neck and shoulders, she kept telling me how tight some muscles are, but without really doing much to these parts. I asked at least two times for more pressure in these areas, but she didn't. The most pressure she used was in my lower/middle back, for like 5 minutes at most. But for all other parts. The whole session was more like just scrubbing and slight pressing over my body. During the one hour, she also tried to keep chatting with me, asking questions like "where are you from, where do you study, do you plan to find a job here...". I tried to be polite so I replied to her, but I feel asking irrelevant personal questions is also very unprofessional. read more

I've had very sweet therapists who are receptive to requests and check in often throughout the massage that it's a good pressure. I always walk out reminding myself I should go way more often. I got a 1h massage with Judy and I LOVED it. I'm a big massage junkie and am very particular about how I like my massages, usually firm pressure but not uncomfortably painful. I care a lot about technique and demeanor of the masseuse, really knowing what they're doing makes a world of difference. I came in with a lot of pain due to long hours at work and holding a 18lb baby when I'm off work. She was able to get rid of all my knots and thoroughly provided me relief everywhere.
