Don't bring your black ass here. So sad used to come here years ago regularly. Taking our rich black ass dollars elsewhere.

I just had an amazing experience with Angela at Lotus Foot Massager in Mountain View. She was incredibly gentle yet somehow hit all the right spots -- not too strong and not too weak, just the perfect pressure. The massage was deeply relaxing, thorough, and exactly what I needed. I left feeling completely refreshed. Angela is truly skilled and attentive, and I would absolutely come back and request her again. Highly recommend! Thank you Angela!! read more

Went for a foot massage today with a friend. We paid $50 upfront and told them we would tip after services were rendered. We were the only two people there. Maybe 20min into my massage, the front desk girl (who also happened to be the one doing my massage) needed to answer the customer who had just come in. This happened TWO MORE TIMES, not to mention she was answering calls while doing my massage. The massage was good, I was just disappointed that it kept getting interrupted. At the end of the massage, I tipped her $7 and my friend tipped her person $10. She told me "no no, you give me $10." I said no, I give you $7. We went back and forth. I thought it was pretty outlandish for her to expect an "excellent" tip when 8min of my 60min experience was wasted by her. Stinks because I used to frequent this location a lot, but won't be coming back. read more

I went in December and was shocked of the change to the worse. I have been there sometimes over the years and always liked the massage, the place and the service. This time I went with my mom on December and it was really unpleasant. The usual nice guy at the front door was not there, either any of the usual massage people that do a great job. There were two ladies who seemed annoyed at the interruption of their nice chat when I enter and ask if they had any spot. I told them that I wanted a foot massage or a combo. They didn't look very excited about it and were trying to call someone else on the phone. When I said that I wanted 2 one hour massage, they changed their mind and decided that they would do it themselves. As usual you paid at the beginning, and it was more expensive than it was the mo the before. The massage was terrible, not the regular good massage at this place. It was made worse because they kept talking and laughing among themselves, which made it imposible to relax. Then at the end, even as we didn't like it, and could enjoy it, I gave them $10 as a tip for each. Then they started to yell that the sign said that for one hour we should tip $15 per person no $10. I told them that it say "digested tip", and that them requiring it at the end is not what the idea of "tip" meant. They were almost yelling at me, and not to make it more unpleasant I gave them the extra money. It all felt wrong, because the whole experience was substandard. The people who used to be there were always nice and very good, which I normally gave a bigger tip and told them that I liked their job, but the two ladies were rude and kind of suck at it. During that month they were down on Yelp, and as the place was kind of weirdly empty I though that maybe they sold the old good place. Today I was looking at something else and I remember to check again to see if they were gone, but here we are. I won't recommend it, which is a shame because it used to be great. read more

Miscommunication? That's not what it was at all. I called and spoke about what I needed and by who, you confirmed it through the phone. I get there in person and you asked me again male or female and I answered yet again with male. You said you had a male masseuse available for 12:40, great cause you never gave him to me. He left so you asked me to leave too, it doesn't matter how well they're trained what matters is listening to your customers and having the common decency to give them a refund for YOUR lack of communication. Again miscommunication? How?? Asking confining with your customers twice isn't enough? Should we be walking in and constantly reminding you what we want and what we asked for? Do better and I hope no one else comes here to waste their money. You made me waste money and time and I can't get either of those back, so thank you for not listening multiple times and thank you for not being nice enough for a refund for your mistakes. read more

I go here quite regularly for a deep tissue massage. Both female and male masseuses have worked on me, and each time is great. I do not have a specific person I go to, but I have received excellent service each time! My favorite part of each massage are the hot towels. It's so relaxing, plus it gets the oils off. Don't forget to bring cash, and call ahead for appointments so that it is much easier. read more

I've gone to this place a few times now and I can say that everyone who works there could use a therapeutic massage class lesson. A massage should be skin to skin touch that is rhythmic, therapeutic and healing; meaning it should feel good most of the time. Most of the time it feels like these therapists are massaging your bones rather than your tissue. It feels awkward and unpleasant. Overall it feels like the therapists don't enjoy what they do. The female massage therapists do not put any effort into the massage. And they don't seem to want to touch your skin. Some even wear latex gloves when they massage you. Or they cover you in towels and massage you through that and it gets lint all over your clothes. If you are scared to touch people's skin, find a different profession. The male therapists give an appropriate amount of effort, but again, it feels like my bones are being worked (and bruised at times) and not my muscles or tissue. I really think the male therapists have great potential and I would like to see this place thrive. Please make improvements. And don't ask people to pay and tip upfront. It's bad business etiquette. read more

Thank the lord! another great foot massage joint that charges within the $20-$25 range for a great 1hr head-toe massage. This place makes you pay upfront rather than after. They provide the basics; hot basket of water to soak your feet in, some lotion, towards the end of your massage they will place the hot stones all over your back, then you're finished! If you're looking for a great spot that's cheap and will definitely do the job, I recommend this place. read more

The massage wasn't great but wasn't bad. Just okay. They aren't friendly, and very direct. Not a lot a talking or communication. And when I finished, they got upset by my tip. I guess when I paid a massage in the 20 dollar range. 10-20 dollar tip seems beyond steep. If they want 40, just put 40 upfront. Putting their arm around me and telling me I need to tip more is kinda sketchy. I see why some people like it. But it seems like it's their own culture and people who don't know are aggressively lectured which isn't a way I'd do business. Especially in the field of massage and relaxation. Seems like the opposite vibe that should happen. read more

Best and most reasonably priced massage place in the area!! I've been a customer for almost two years and I have never been disappointed. Chinese massage places have a bad reputation of having bad customer service and being shady. I have ran into a couple myself. Not this place though! The owner is super nice and the employees says he treats them well too which is much more than I can say about a lot of other places that I've been too. For full body massages, I recommend Michael or Lily if they are available. For foot massages, you should be good with anyone. At least I haven't gone wrong. I have gone in with foot stress injuries, wrist injuries, and back pain. The masseuse are super good at really spending the time to untie those knots and making you feel like a million bucks. IMPORTANT NOTE on how to tip at Chinese massage places - Chinese massage places generally charge at half the price than most other places. Therefore, it is really no longer appropriate to still tip at 20%!! It is so cheap so that you can tip a bit more and reward your masseuse! I suggest $10 as the minimum and going up to $20 if it's super good and/or if it's a body massage. read more

I hate to say but this massage place is a joke ! They have no communication skills, no business sense , and most of the people who work here dont know what the heck they are doing. I have been here several times, and there are only a couple of masseur who do a good job. The rest dontseem to know nothing. But they still expect a tip of nothing less than 10$ ,and they demand it ! Save your money and time and go somewhere else. read more

Dropped by for a Foot Massage the other day after detailing my car down the street. The venue was empty upon arrival and had to walk all the way inside to find an employee. The signage referred to a $19.99/hr foot massage whereas signage by the reception area suggested a Buy 6 Get 1 Free for $20/hr. An employee suggested the "Special" Foot Massage for $25 which would include a shoulder massage sitting up... The massage parlor is typical with a row of ~8 foot massage chairs along with 4 more private curtained rooms for full body massages. Massage started off with the standard head, shoulder, and hand massage for a good 15 minutes while my feet were dipped in warm water. The foot massage was next with the masseuse wearing gloves and massaging my feet. The highlight of the massage was the back massage which was quite good pressure-wise considering that I was clothed and the masseuse put a towel over me too. They do accept credit cards here too. $25/hr including tip for a 1 hr regular foot massage. read more

My experience at this massage place was awful. I called ahead to book an appointment for two, my friend and i. The place itself was fine, the massage was average, but the service was the WORST i've ever experienced with a foot massage. First of all, my friend and i were started at the same time in terms of being given a bed. However, my actual massage wasn't started until much later because of there was a problem with the masseuse, so there had to be a swap arranged (while I was already laying down and waiting). The masseuse that they swapped with wasn't very attentive as he kept going back to the front to check at the desk almost every few minutes. At times, he would leave me there for minutes to attend to another customer (hearing them talking from the lobby a few feet away). After he "finished" my arms, I had to wait almost 10 minutes to continue my massage. And thus, ANOTHER masseuse change because the masseuse who came to finished out the rest of my massage was a woman (not the same woman who gave me the water bucket and laid blankets down on me and definitely not the man with the poor head and arm massage). And so with all the waiting, I fully expected to have finished a lot later than my friend (for it's only fair that we both paid an hour for a massage and to ACTUALLY get massaged for an hour--not waiting almost half the time to get massaged). However, when the time came to it, we were both ended at the same time. And the time frame in which this all happened was ALSO under an hour. So to say i was very disappointed with his place is an understatement. I felt the need to ask for my money back once it ended, but my friend and I both were rushed out of the building. I felt pressured to just leave a tip and leave. read more

Went in for a foot massage - paid for a FOOT MASSAGE 60mins. What I got was 5 min maybe 10. I got my arms and head and legs massaged instead which was unexpected. The massage was not bad. My problem was I went in because I wanted my FEET massaged that is what I paid for. Ultimately I wasn't going to write a review but when they asked if I would like to add a tip I decided ok the massage wasn't bad but I didn't like that it was misleading I said sure add a $5 tip. The lady then proceeded to ask did you like the massage did it feel good . I said sure it's was alright, she then said well then we ask you to leave more of a tip. I don't know if this is Normal behavior but I thought it to be rude. read more

Pathetic. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE. Got an appointment for 6:30 but they only started by 6:50 wasting 20 mins. Sat me down with legs soaked in water for more than 5 minutes and a giy started with head message and then stopped to switch. Again wasting more than 10 mins in the switch. The lady who took over was worse ever. She had no clue what she was doing. She literally just pinched my shoulders and neck it was horrible. And guess what, they ended it at 7:45. Do yourself a favor and go to another place. read more

I went with my friend yesterday for the first time. We made an appointment at 9pm, but still need to wait for nearly thirty minutes. The therapist for my friend came firstly and started the massage. Mine came more than ten minutes later. But they ended the therapy at the same time. Thus, I would recommend Yang, he has responsibility at least. I would not recommend Tina, since she didn't finish her work well, even didn't do for the time I have paid for. The good thing for this place is its price, and the environment is quiet and relaxing, except a little bit cold. read more

I got a Groupon for a one hour full body massage with a hot stone massage included and it was the best Groupon I have ever bought. Worth every penny. I even tipped 40% because my masseuse was amazing! Her technique was absolutely perfect on every part of my body. I've never been massaged with hot stones before and it was a bit of a surprise at first, but so delightful after the initial shock of the heated rocks. I would come back here for sure! read more

If I could I would leave a negative one star because service at this place is absolutely terrible. I paid for a 60 min long foot massage and during the massage, the masseuse kept stopping my massage to answer the phone and greet customers at the door because apparently they don't have a dedicated receptionist. He stopped my massage 6 times and In total I only got 30 min of massage time. I asked for a reimbursement because I didn't get the full massage time that I paid for and let them know I was dissatisfied with the service. He didn't reimburse me and in response, my masseuse said "I'm just a cashier but when times get busy I help with massages." I was baffled!! NEVER coming back here again! read more

This place has had at least two owners. It has been "Lotus" since 2013, previously was "Relax"), I thought it had improved with 2nd owner, but now not so sure. I would rather drive a bit further to any of the other places in town. Typically the front desk is unattended, when an employee appears from the back it is impossible to communicate as it seems none of them speak even rudimentary English and my Mandarin is limited to 'ni hao' and ' xièxie'. A few months ago my attempt to purchase a gift certificate for hubby was a frustrating and unsuccessful experience which involved lots of hand gestures, her looking at the clock putting up two fingers, me speaking louder (that always helps) pointing to the 'gift certifcate' promo on the sandwich board in front of the place; I gave up. There many other foot massage places, I would give this one a miss. It is still a mystery to me where they find these 'therapists'; better not to ask I guess. (FYI - California does not require state certification or licensure of reflexologists). In any case, if price is your most important criteria this place is the cheapest around, today saw a sign outside $17 foot massage (you get what you pay for). BTW, does anyone find the stock photos used by nearly all foot massage places 'helpful'?? read more

My husband and I went in for just 1/2 hour of foot massage, but they talked us into getting foot and back massage (1 hour total). It cost us $40 for both of us together. Great price, but you get what you pay for. It's not a private room massage. They have a row of about 8 massage chairs that are pretty comfortable, but the one my husband was on was super SQUEAKY which prevented us from relaxing. Also, the masseuses kept talking/whispering which was not professional. The massage itself was pretty good. My masseuse was a little too strong, but I figured it would help my back anyway. read more

I'm a massage aficionado. if I'm not at work or sleeping, I'm getting a massage. I am always scoping for a new gem of a massage joint and am tolerant of decent massage. my fave is in santa clara, I got lil backups all over la. i tried lotus and all I have to say is - terrible. never walked out of a massage until I tried this place. the masseuse wasted my time rubbing lotion. i can get man friends to do that for free. when I asked him to put some muscle into it when he got to my back, I got random elbows grinding on BONE. I let him finish 1 side...but I couldn't withstand the terrible bone grinding any more! what the hell is this nonsense? read more

I come here almost every week and I have always enjoyed my time here. There are many experienced Masseuses here who know how to get your knots out. I especially like Michael. Other places that I have been to ( for example, happy feet) that are of similar prices have been disappointing. I definitely recommend this place! read more

This is THE best place to get a $20/hour massage. Peter is extremely meticulous and works very hard for the entire hour. My issue with this place is that when I requested Peter one day prior to another massage, I was told no problem. I arrive and I'm told that Peter is out for the day. I was pretty disappointed because the another guy who had given me a massage only went for 55 minutes and he wasn't nearly as good. Sure, 55 minutes for $20 is still a great deal, but I went in for an hour - not to be gypped 5 minutes of a massage. The woman assured me that the guy who would be massaging me was very good. Out comes that same 55 min. guy. I didn't want to be rude, so I didn't say anything. Ah well, you win some you lose some... read more
