Disappointing. Came in wanting a foot massage, big sign on the window that mentions foot massage. The woman who greeted me said "no foot massage" over and over and said only body massage. They clearly had foot massage beds. The body massage room was comfortable and the right temperature. Bed was adequate but the face cradle had a paper towel over it, it was very scratchy, and when I removed it the lady told me to put it back. My 60 minute massage was interrupted three times; twice for the telephone to be answered and once for my therapist to help someone change the receipt printer paper. The massage itself was lacking. I was never asked about health concerns, sore spots, or my desired level of pressure. There was about 40 minutes on my upper back and the rest was spread around. No facial or scalp massage, which is one of my favorites. Very very little time spent on legs, feet, arms. Based on other reviews I feel like maybe I just had a really bad unique experience, for that reason I would give it one more try and then update my review. read more

My husband and I happened upon this place on a Saturday evening and with no reservation they were able to take us. They're open until 10pm most days. Their window advertises foot massages so that's what we went in for. When I asked how much a foot massage would cost the receptionist pointed to the body massage sign ($40 for 30 mins, $50 for 45 mins, $60 for an hour). Since we were't planning on it we stuck to 30 mins. But then on the way back to the massage rooms I walked by all the empty foot massage chairs and felt a little misguided. The body massage was nice enough but nothing special. The worst part came at the end when I came out to my husband arguing with the lady about how much we wanted to tip. We had offered 20% ($96, which already felt a bit generous) but she insisted on $100! Her reasoning was that this isn't a restaurant, her and the ladies work hard - what?! how do you even reply to that? - and then said she was going to charge us $3 for using a credit card. I honestly couldn't believe the conversation was happening. She eventually caved and only charged the $96 we insisted on but that was more than it was worth and I will not be going back (or sending anyone else that way). I came here by way of Groupon for a 60 minute massage. I was able to make an appointment 2 days ahead of time. It's a nice, small, clean space. Front desk was very nice and got me promptly on my appointment. Since it was my first time, I was expecting to sign paperwork, but I didn't receive any. I ended up getting assigned to their facial room for my massage. I was instructed to undress and get under a large towel. Some places have the large, draping covers that go over the entire table. I don't know if this place uses towels in their massage rooms, but just in case you may be concerned or not used to less coverage during a massage, keep that in mind. Then my MT came in, who was a male. Some places feel the need to inform/ask clients about having male MT's assigned. If this concerns you, perhaps you can ask beforehand about who yours will be. My MT came in and just started the massage. He never talked - didn't ask if pressure was ok, or show any concern. The only time he talked was when he told me to turn over and when my massage was finished. It was quiet, there was the humming of what I assume was air conditioning, and I could hear voices on occasion from the other rooms, or things getting dropped or moved around. The pressure started great but was not consistent. Some times it would be more medium and sometimes more firm. When he found the knots in my shoulder, he addressed them with just enough attention. I've been to places where I was supposed to get a full body massage but all the focus was grinding my shoulders once the knots were found. In some spots I found the massage to be a bit ticklish, which I've never experienced before. I'm not sure if it was the pressure or just the area. But it was nothing I couldn't tolerate. There were also a few spots that felt a bit uncomfortable, mainly the bony areas like the pressure on my shin and around my spine. When he started on my legs halfway through the massage, that's when he took a second to stop and put on some music. He used a lot of massage oil on my legs. I could feel it dripping over and soaking into the cloth underneath me. It all got rubbed in though. When he moved to my feet, he did a bit of reflexology. Before turning over, he brought warm towels to wipe off the oil from my back and legs. When he went over me again with the dry towel, it was scratchy. After I turned over, he proceeded with arms, legs, face, and shoulders. He wiped me down and then it was over. I went back to the front and received a 20% off coupon for using Groupon. I just had to fill out a short survey rating my experience. I was able to tip with my credit card, though cash is preferred. She just asked that I give good comments and spread the word in my social network, since they are still relatively new. Overall, I'd say I was 85% satisfied with my massage. Afterwards I did feel relaxed, not sore and overdone like other places I've been to, even though some bits of the massage were less than perfect. Not terrible, but not amazing. Heard about this place from an Internet ad with a $50 hour-long massage, so decided to try this place. The $50 offer was $5 off their regular price of $55 for a 60-min massage. A Yelp check-in also gives you $5 off a Body Massage or Facial, but probably can use only one of the discounts. Easy to find in this shopping center on Homestead, but parking is very tight, with so many other shops in this group. The spa is small but nice and clean. Came at 11am without reservation and was able to get a massage as a walk-in. Massage was OK, not bad, but not great. May was my therapist and she was OK. She focused on my lower back and legs as I requested, and worked on my entire back side for the whole hour. I guess that was OK, as that's the priority. Unfortunately, her cell phone range/vibrated twice during the session at the beginning and near the end, which was a bit distracting. She was also coughing and sniffling a bit in the beginning of the session, but that settled down later, but I was still a bit concerned with that. Overall, the massage was OK. It helped me, but I didn't think it was any special compared to other simple massages elsewhere. read more

So my daughter went to get a 30 min massage which was advertised for $40. She gave the owner $100 bill and she gave her $40 back and my daughter said that is not the right amount in change and she said oh I'm keeping for tip. My daughter said no please give me my change. I will give you a tip myself when she gave her the correct change. My daughter said here goes five dollars tip and the lady got so upset and said it's not enough tip followed her out of the store told her that she is going to call the police on her and took her license plate. You go for a massage to relax but now my daughter is so stressed and upset about the experience. 100% do not recommend this place. Go elsewhere unless you want to be chased outside and told how much to tip. Tips in my opinion are earned not just given because you ask. They are given if the service is amazing and based on the job, not because you say how much tip you want. read more

Here are the reasons why this place only deserves two stars from me: - RUDE: Since the masseuse was also the receptionist, she received calls and booked other people's appointments while doing my massage. Once, I could let it slide. Twice is just rude, especially since the call she's taking is not even an emergency. This is the first time it has ever happened to me. Not a fan. - LOUD: Some men hanging around the "spa" (maybe her friends -- they were neither clients nor employees) were talking loudly that I can hear them through the walls in my supposedly relaxing massage - NO PRIVACY: Three times in a span of two hours, one of the men would ask my masseuse a question through the slightly open door. Note: I only have my bottom underwear on. WTF? - VERY OILY MASSAGE: I don't think my skin was as dry as sandpaper, so no reason to pour an entire bottle of lotion on me. Perhaps it's not the whole bottle but it's the ridiculously gooey and thick lotion feeling that caused me to jump into a shower immediately after this - LACK OF CONSIDERATION: Near the end of my facial (yea I kinda had to stay because they scheduled that in between my back and the rest of my front massage), they put the mask on me and left it there for what seemed like forever. Maybe it's supposed to be a 25 minute mask but jeez, it even felt longer than that since the room got cold (had blankets but still virtually naked) and I literally had to peel the mask off my face since i started shivering and wanted to get my sweater. Not once did she come back in the room to check on me, or anything. Later, the lady came in shocked and apologetic to find me in my sweater but when I explained that I was cold she laughed it off and said "that was only 10 minutes." I wanted to point out that it was 25 (I timed it) but I didn't want to embarrass her so I just got my face rinsed and I walked out. - TIP REMINDER: I'm a 20%+ tipper, and I was planning to tip her that anyway in spite of the below average experience. But as soon as I approached the front desk, she pointed to the sign with recommended tips and asked how much I wanted to add to my credit card. I was trying to read the rest of the text but she interrupted me by asking "or are you tipping in cash?" I opted for the 15% and she happily added it to the card. I just don't like it when they ask. I'm still giving them two stars because the end result of the facial was not bad and she tried hard. I appreciate that. However, I left feeling really disappointed especially since I've been looking forward to this after a long week at work, and Yelp rated them 5 stars. In retrospect, I should have remembered that just because they had good reviews for one service doesn't mean that the rest of the services are up to par. I loved this place. I came in and there was only one other lady there which can also be scary since you think "Maybe they are bad" but no! Oh no. I missed the rush! It came in AFTER me. Thank goodness. $20 for foot massage. I do not think their deals for a package are worth it but they are the only one around here for a little but so they can create the edge of the pricing. I asked for hard and got Lee. And man I love him! Normally, when those that keep asking you if it is too hard is annoying. You're not relaxing. The worst massage experience in my life!!! I really needed a massage today and bought a Groupon to this place because they were the only place who could schedule my appointment at the same day. Front desk lady did not even smile once. The smell inside was not pleasant either. They showed me the room and walked away. When the massage lady, I think her name was Eva, came in she was like "you are not ready yet?! Don't you know what to do?!" Well, I came to the place for the first time and would expect some introduction and explanation. When she started I felt that she just didn't know what she was doing. I am getting massages on a regular basis and know exactly what a deep tissue massage is. I could massage better than her for sure. And on the top of that she was chewing a gum during the session and was literally loudly munching on it. Then at the middle of the session she just walked out of the room without telling me anything. Which is find very unprofessional and rude. She came in with some hot towels and placed those on my back without notifying me. I cannot tolerate much heat on my skin, and would not let her do it, if she would asked me first. The music was not relaxing at all as well, some kind of asian dance music, and at some point the music stopped at all, all I was listening to is massage girl's munching on the gum and the clocks ticking, which makes me go nuts!!! When I was lying face down there was a regular pillow under my feet, and when she asked me to turn face up, she just placed that exact pillow under my head. Yuck! :(( Overall the place is not clean. Restroom's soap is just water with a little bit of soap in it, which does not even make it foam, and there were couple of dirty hair combs in the restroom with bunch of hair on it. I walked out even more tense than what I was when I first walked in there... Do Not Recommend this Place to Anyone, and thinking about getting my money back from Groupon. I bought a Groupon and made an appointment a month in advance, but when I showed up they did not have my on their list. I get really put off when shops mess up such basic things which are not hard to get right -- it shows a certain lack of respect for the customer. Minus one star. The guy at the front desk was friendly, and said it is not a problem and they will set me up shortly. The owner (I assume), a big Asian woman, barged in, shoved her face into me, and asked if I had called ahead. I was quite miffed by her aggressive mannerism. Minus one more star. I was led into the massage room, which felt a bit dingy. The massage table was covered by a large towel, with a sheer protector on top, and there was another folded towel for me to cover myself with. This felt like a tacky, oddball arrangement, as most other places have soft, cotton sheets. Minus one more star. Finally, the masseuse came it. Turned out to be a male, even though I had setup my appt with a female. Nothing against him. He did a good job overall, though the pressure was a bit too hard, and he did not speak much at all (I was not even sure if he understood English). The oil used was very bland, and at times felt a bit musty. For some odd reason, he used no oil when massaging my arms. It was an average experience. Overall, I was not impressed with this place. The owner is irksome, the rest of the staff seem earnest enough, but they are not very organized, and the place is not very welcoming. I won't be returning. The place is clean, very peaceful, the people friendly and most importantly the massage was great! They dug in the right places and we left feeling wonderful. Wow, I love this place. I am a runner and am constantly getting massage. Tommy gave me the best deep tissue massage and for a great price. He worked so hard on my feet and legs after a long run up at Rancho, it was incredible. I have now seen him twice and he is actually helping my plantar faciitis more than I thought possible. The place is very clean and the people are incredibly nice also. The best part is the fact that they actually ask you what is hurting and pay attention to your specific needs. The absolute worst! I made an appt and when I got there, there was nobody in the front and I rang the bell. Some Asian man came out and stared at me. I told him I had an appt at 2 and he said no I didn't. I told him I spoke with a lady to make the appt and he said " no lady here" and told me to leave. I looked at him and said that if I leave I will never come back. He said "ok" and I told him that it was the worst place ever and they are very rude. Also I did not like the feel of the place. There weren't any rooms that I noticed but instead curtains that seemed to separate the " rooms". So strange and also bring a translator as they don't speak English. I have been wanting to try this place out since it opened. After having a very rough week at home and work, I decided to give this place a shot. Outside of the business looks small, but it looks spacious from the inside. The receptionist was friendly and placed me in a room for a body massage in about five minutes. The masseuse did an incredible job in making me feel both relaxed and rejuvenated. He was also attentive by asking me if I was OK or if the pressure is too hard. All in all, I would only frequent spas if I am on vacation, like Reno or Santa Cruz. But after my experience at Natural Spa, I'm making this my friendly neighborhood spa retreat. read more

Having had chronic back and neck pain for the last 20 years, I've had hundreds of massages and they've all been pretty standard. I found Natural Spa via Groupon, and I bought the Swedish body massage. The spa is in a strip mall next to a Subway, nail salon and Pete's coffee. Not much to look at from the outside, and the reception room is tiny. But behind the door is a quiet, clean, dimly lit, tranquil environment. The body massage was different, in that acupressure was used on my spine, along with other parts of my body, along with massage, and it really hit the mark. Hot, moist towels were used after the massage to remove the oil, and boy did they feel great. I also purchased an hour-long foot massage, and "foot massage" doesn't even come close to describing the heavenly experience I had. At first, I thought one hour for a foot massage was a really long time, but read on. After my body massage, I was taken to an area behind curtains, and lay face-up on a comfortable couch/cot, with my feet placed in a big bamboo bucket filled with hot water. As they were soaking, my eyes were covered with a soft cloth and I was given a gentle head rub, face massage, neck rub, arm rub, ear rub, and finger rub. I was in seventh heaven. I did ask for a pillow to be placed under my knees, and you might want to do the same, because laying down with your feet in the bucket isn't too comfortable for the lower back. But after the pillow was placed there, it was very comfortable. The hour just zoomed by and I felt like a happy blob after both treatments - that's how relaxed I was. I made an appointment for my husband to have a foot massage and I would recommend that everyone have this foot massage experience at least once. I can easily see it becoming a weekly routine after a hard week's work. And the price for the foot rub was very, very reasonable. I will be back. A comment about the 1980's "muzak" in the massage room: It wasn't really conducive to a tranquil massage and I would recommend that the owner invest in mood music that better matches the tranquil ambiance. And, a comment about the extensive "tip recommendation sheet" (more like an excel spreadsheet) on the reception desk. I think a small note reminding customers to leave a generous tip would suffice. I was asked by the receptionist if I left a tip, and I felt a bit put off because I left a $20 tip. Perhaps a less aggressive approach would be more appreciated after such an otherwise good experience. read more

Lately My daughter and I tried Natural Spa after they opened in the late summer. Now I am going there as routine for foot massage. Their foot massage is more than just foot massage, you have to try to find out. The first time when we did it and we realized that there were great surprises. Kevin is my favorite, and he is very experienced with a perfect hands. He has taken care my major hip issue after 3 visits. The facility is small but very clean and new. I received a supposed deep tissue massage by Kevin. I don't think I have had a worse massage. I have major back problems and rely on deep tissue work to get me through the pain. This was a complete waste of my time and money. I don't believe Kevin has any authentic training in massage. He rubbed my back, but there was no deep tissue work (not a single knot was worked out). The massage oil was not oil at all, but cheap lotion goop that felt super slimy (not kidding). The lady up front was nice, but since I don't speak Vietnamese we had a hard time communicating. Her English was very clear though when she was making sure I had left Kevin a tip (which I had already done). I was offered a 20% discount if I returned...which I will never do. read more

I am from Los Angeles and I came here to visit my best friend. We were all tired after hiking for several hours. He suggested to visit a new spa place which is very close to his house. It is very clean, the people there are very friendly. The one that gave me a massage was very friendly and he was very good. I wish there is a place like this in my area. read more
